PSUMany PlayStation Network users in the US today may have to reset their account password.
As posted in the official PlayStation community forum, Sony has reacted to "irregular activity" with some users' accounts. MercuryV of PlayStation Moderation and Support said, "If you are getting an error that your PSN account password is incorrect, you may need to reset it. We routinely monitor for irregular activity, and if such activity is detected, we may sometimes reset passwords of affected SEN accounts to protect consumers and their account information."
According to VG247, a similar requirement took place in EU, and "only a small number of users" experienced any sort of affect from the irregular activity.

EDIT: Joking. Hopefully nothing on the scale of the incident a few years back.
Pls let my info be safe :/
Did she keep the CC detail in the account? Valuable accounts for hackers allow to buy/sell FIFA coin.Noticed this today. My girlfriend had to change her account password. Doesn't make any sense as I'm the one paying for + on my account and use the system much more than she does. Found it weird, but she was the only one in our house who needed a password change.
I didn't get any email but my housemate does. It look like because his account has the CC detail and I don't
never understood why there are so many accounts on XBL and PSN with 0GS and no trophies.
Translation indicates they may have been hacked/compromised again. Though, it does not appear to be anywhere near the level of intrusion as last time.
Good catch on their part, they seem to have noticed weird activity and protected my account.

Here it is, and the Sony Statement was posted then (5 days ago). That said, the OP never updated the thread, so that answers my initial question.
I'd either have to go through the trouble of turning all those things on again and doing it all at once, or remembering a different password which I might forget by the time I need it. I'd almost rather just take my chances.
Ugh.
Go on the website to reset your password, or at least check if you can login thereOriginally Posted by FluxWaveZ
Tried to sign in to PS4, said my password's no longer valid and asked me for my birthdate. Gave it and it rejected it saying that the "info is no longer valid." Entered it again, and it's saying that the network is down for maintenance.
Ugh.
It says that it's the incorrect email address or password every time. It's doing the same with my Vita, too. Hope it doesn't mean I've been hacked.Originally Posted by razgriz417

Edit: Nope, guess my past self decided it'd be funny if my DoB was one year off.
