This happens every now and again, loads of people have gone through the same.I just ordered Killzone from Amazon and got this message
Damn. I suppose I have gotten used to getting bent over so meh -_- Still sucks that a lot of sales are only really sales for people in the U.S.Originally Posted by John Caboose
Not really. You have to migrate your account to the US for this to work on 360 and before you renew gold you will experience some bugs so for your own sake just renew gokd right after migrating account. Look at my previously created threads for details. Also some things are region locked (many apps, some old GoD titles).
On X1 you just change a setting in the dash.
I got the same thing after ordering Lego Marvel. Did you use your card's actual billing address or a random US one?I just ordered Killzone from Amazon and got this message
Edit - Cancelled my original order, bought an Amazon.com gift card and re-ordered. It went through pretty much straight away then.
I used the random billing address as when trying to use real address it wouldnt allow the purchase. I got the code after about an hour.Originally Posted by TheCrackInTime

I think the holdup was because I set up a new Amazon.com account and used the same card which on my amazon.co.uk account which I guess got flagged when making the order.

Hmm, I think I'll set up an account and buy something. See how much of saving there is compared to buying from supermarkets or just waiting a couple of weeks for prices to drop naturally...
X1 is region free no? MS themselves suggested you could set up an account in a region that wasn't your own to buy content...
I'm from a € Tier 2 country. I bought AC IV, which on an european store costs 69.99€, on the US store, it's 59.99$ + taxes. After conversion, 47€ got charged on my CC. So I guess, it's pretty interesting.
Thanks a lot Caboose ;)
Any restrictions on the number of times you can switch regions?
Yes, no, no.Originally Posted by underwaterthing
On Xbox One can you simply change to US region and buy a game then switch back to UK and play? Or do you have to stay on US to play it?

You're welcome. =)Miles

edit; will a VISA card work?
Funny thing, I tried to do it from xbox.com but it resulted with an error message asking me to change payment method. But when I tried directly from the Store on my ONE, it went smoothly. I dunno why.
When I go through the payment it says 'payment type not supported'. My Paypal account shows as an option under my normal region, but not the US.
Did you edit your billing info on your US account? Or directly on your Xbox One, in the settings>Billing and info payment?Originally Posted by Opus Angelorum

Yeah you need to do it on the Xbox One itself. But my bank account don't <3 LOL. I caved in again and bought Ryse digitally.

Xbox.com is checking your account region (as on 360), not your consoles region setting.
