I've personally never heard about Develop 100 but came across to this article because Almost Human tweeted it. Seems like a good list to me. Lots of companies you have never heard of but some that you will hear a lot in the future if all goes well.

Our extensive guide to Europe's most promising game start-ups is now live.

The latest Develop 100 includes profiles for each of our games companies listed inside, all formed since 2011.

Start-ups don't just include developers either - we've profiled a number of tech and services firms that could play a key role in the game industry's future.

Details include how they were founded, their first project, where they are based and how to find them.

You can read the Develop 100 through the browser here, or within the Develop magazine app on the Apple Newsstand, and it's completely free.

Huge mobile focus. I think it's understandable though. Other thing to note is that Develop is apparently published in association with Ukie (which is "
THE ASSOCIATION FOR UK INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT"). So something to keep in mind if you see a certain UK focus with the list :)

Bumping because I messed up the link (and because I think it's a good outlook on something that doesn't get talked about a lot here). This is the right link. List starts from page 8.
