If all this film does is get the costumes right so we finally have a Spiderman that isn't lumpy or gold-eyed and a Green Goblin that doesn't look made to be an action figure, I'll be happy.
None of the villains really look that much like their amazing spiderman counterparts. In fact, The Amazing Spiderman series seems to draw a lot more from the Ultimate series than it does the Amazing one, probably because their Amazing costumes look stupid. There was a thread a while back of a different design for Goblin, and he looked exactly like Ultimate Goblin. Come on, you can't tell me that this:

The Dragonzord, a blue Electro and Green Goblin all in one movie. The second movie. With no Mary Jane. This movie is going to be the biggest pile in a while. It's too bad too, because they finally got the best Spiderman costume on screen. How can you fail and your last name is Webb? You were the chosen one!

Why is the Goblin human-like?
Oh lord they're doing the "cram all the characters' idea again with a Superhero movie? That never works. You cant divide the importance of the villain role in too many directions across too many characters. You simply can't make the audience form a relationship with them all if you spread the story too thin introducing 3 of them. You'd essentially have to have them all together in every scene they are in arguing and forming their characters simultaneously and even then its difficult.
Basic script writing teaches you not to even try this...especially when you have to live up to someone else's characters from a much longer literary work in the short span of a film.

Iron Man 2 was bad because it was too cheesy IMO, too muh focusing on humor and jokes, but that would be very fitting in a Spider Man movie.

On topic. spidey is considered to be best super hero by many. And in no way ASM or spidey one are bad. Spidey 3 was bad but it was still more enjoyable than most marvel flicks. I have no trust in marvel specially after IM3 and thor:darkworld . both are definition of mediocre. where as CA thor1 are plain bad

And just to point out, everybody wants another spin of the Avengers. Even DC. It was a good film and achieved exactly what it set out to do. Something that I doubt Amazing Spiderman 2 will do.

I met Quesada at a signing in London a couple years back. I brought up the One More Day fiasco and before I could really say anything untoward, he cut in and told me that it was awesome and that the fanbase was wrong to bitch about it because it led to Brand New Day which was even better.I doubt they let him near the movie after he screwed them with The Twelve.
I don't think the guys at Marvel truly realize how much of a hack Straczynski really is.
Edit: I haven't read The Twelve. Looking at the wiki page, it sounds like he's attempting to do what Moore did with The Watchmen?
