I really disliked ASM but ASM 2 is shaping up to be a must-see at this point.
This seems plausible. And then you add in the time for Aunt May and Gwen Stacy, sounds like a full two hours. I don't wish for the film to fail, I just want the film to fully realize it's potential. They have the suit, non-organic webbing, Gwen Stacy, Oscorp, all the tools to make a memorable film. Waiting to see how it turns out.Electro is the main on-screen villain, plain and simple. Rhino is just a cameo and is stopped really early on in the film. Harry and Norman have an ongoing relationship thought (plus Harry and Peter obvs). Norman at Oscorp (or someone) knows about Spidey/Peter and his father, and saw the his formula was successful. Norman is dying, either he or his son use the same formula and turn into GG at the very end.
Something like that. It *could* work given the villains have a common thread (Oscorp) rather than that sandman/venom clusterfuck.
Agreed. Oh and don't forget the whole Richard Parker angle. There's going to be some reveal there, or a flashback to their death in the plane crash. (which Norman was probably responsible for, as he escaped with 'the formula')Originally Posted by supersanni

May 2.
Yeah, the problem with Spider-Man wasn't that it had three (really four) villains, it's that it had four villains with four separate subplots. Conversely, the villains in ASM2 sound like they're all (however tenuously) tied together.Something like that. I honestly would not be surprised if they dropped that entire thing. I think they had a chance to explore it in the first film but now it's just going to look like a tacked on plot from the first film, which it is.Agreed. It's in the film most likely. I think some guy from the Office was casted to play a young Richard Parker. They probably should have just dropped it.Originally Posted by Salvor.Hardin

Yeah, possibly something related to the FBI and him being undercover working at Oscorp. Then hiding the formula in peter's genes before escaping, only to have their plane crash. It's in the film most likely. I think some guy from the Office was casted to play a young Richard Parker. That certainly didn't come through in the wildly mediocre ASM.Originally Posted by Jokergrin
