So much for bringing dumb console warrior stuff into a discussion of a game that was made by a third party studio and was never had any bearing on a quality of a console nor would have made an impact that would differentiate the two.So much for that "Xbox One has a bit better lineup than the PS4" thing I've been seeing around in the hardware reviews. Seems to me that the Xbox One is launching with just as many mediocre (or terrible) games as the PS4. Even the good Xbox One games have a discernible disconnect with their consumers what with the microtransaction stuff.

Am I the only laughing my balls off at these faces? What even is this.
Weeeellll, it's one of the very few showcases at launch window to justify that extra $100 expenditure on Kinect. It's total failure doesn't bode well for the gaming potential of the camera. So much for bringing dumb console warrior stuff into a discussion of a game that was made by a third party studio and was never had any bearing on a quality of a console nor would have made an impact that would differentiate the two.

Bwahaha. I love Ellie when she's at her best.J**** f***ing wept.
All those? I haven't seen one person claim they purchased an X1 for this game?Man, all those peeps who preordered the One because of this game, MAN!
Bad Game <> Bad Kinect
On a side note, why would they release this game knowing it is flawed garbage??? 1-10, my lord! Is this officially the worst rated game of all time? Don't ever remember a game scoring a 1 before?
If someone wants to see a game doing Kinect right, check out Kinect Sports Rivals. Me and the Family had a blast playing the demo yesterday, I will 100% be picking it up once released, if not for the demo I would have never of gave it a chance.
Get some sales.Originally Posted by EtherMagic

How on Earth did they reach that conclusion? This game snuck out with practically no advertising whatsoever. That's basically the opposite of trying to present something as a great way to show off the capabilities of the new hardware. And Microsoft needs its giant cyborg head examined for thinking this is a great way to show off the capabilities of its new hardware.
No way ubisoft would release this game on their own. They would have just stuck to just dance.Originally Posted by Senor Kami

This review doesn't reflect the score. Sounds like 0/10 quality.Which brings us to a total of at least 18 things, plus about seven thousand more I've forgotten to mention. I can't be bothered to count them all up, so let's just finish with a nice round number.
1/10
Isn't a launch game, by definition, a showcase for a new system?Originally Posted by Senor Kami

Launch shovelware doesn't help the case for Xbone's "better launch lineup"
How can the people who create and test this game not think, '... this is a piece of shit' ?
for a "nexus of hardcore gamers," a lot of gaffers really don't understand the publishing system and end up personally blaming devs, acting as if the devs are literally brain dead and can't see a game's flaws. pretty lame.

You had a blast with massive input lag, bad physics, terrible trick system, and possibly the worst track design I've seen in a while?
To each their own, I guess.
Kinect Sports Rivals lasted all of two races in my system.
Anyways, Fighter Within...yeesh. I don't understand why some devs till think a game with no tactile feedback and canned animations on top of that can be fun, especially when you add in a layer of input lag.
The disconnect with the gameplay is simply too massive.
Sounds rather typical for kinect only game.
This goes back to Activator. They should stop making these types of games.

48. That's almost half of a perfect score; it's practically a masterpiece.
Massive input lag in Kinect Sports Rivals? I can't agree with you here. Trick system and track design I can give you, but I was very impressed with the responsiveness of the controls, as were all of my friends that played it.You had a blast with massive input lag, bad physics, terrible trick system, and possibly the worst track design I've seen in a while?

Fighter Within, on the other hand, is a hot mess. I picked it up specifically because I knew it was going to be bad, and we do something called Terribad Game Night. It fit the bill.
Pretty sure Forza is the highest scoring exclusive on either console that is a fully-featured game. It's the most legit exclusive flagship game, so the One will get the software nod.So much for that "Xbox One has a bit better lineup than the PS4" thing I've been seeing around in the hardware reviews. I had none of these problems you mentioned with KSR, did you play the demo? It ran smooth as butter for us and Kinect was very responsive, infact I had no problem constantly ending in 1st place.
I want large parts of Halo 5 to contain Kinect integration. Perhaps Kinect augmented controls through out.
When the combined tears of gamers form a tsunami...perhaps we can put the rest the 'it's the developers' defense. The technology just isn't ready for serious gaming.
Serious question, do you think Kinect is the issue here, or the actual game?Wow. This might actually be the lowest rating game i've seen in years and years.
Go go, Kinect!
Mindlessly bashing Kinect because of one REALLY badly reviewed game is lazy. And as we see, some get enjoyment out of it. Maybe look up some Kinect Fitness, good stuff there.

I played the downloadable version on the store.
I don't know what to say, other than ending in first is little indication of input lag. I turn my arms, and the game takes a significant chunk of time to actually start turning the jet ski properly. It's awkward and slow, and not because of wave physics.
Do you mean you didn't have input lag problems, or that you also didn't mind the track and trick design?
Someone needs to be fired. The other black character in the game can "communicate with voodoo spirits". Her biography reveals she lost her family in the 2010 Haiti earthquake. No, not too soon, perfectly appropriate, well done.

Microsoft should have whipped the asses of everyone at Twycross to get Kinect Sports out for launch - as it is, there's absolutely nothing from a gaming perspective that is proving the Kinect is worth the extra cost. Nothing. Nada.
It's amazing. I just...I don't know. Sony's announcement in Feb must have absolutely shocked them to hell and back. But we all knew the PS4 was coming, why didn't MS?
Goddamnit.
Mechanically, The Fight actually worked. You could move your arms around and your fighter would faithfully copy you. The problem was, it was just a bad game. When you swung a punch, you would follow through even if your avatar connected in game (obviously) which would leave your position out of sync with your character's.Originally Posted by Honey Bunny

This fundamental flaw makes me wonder if this sort of game is viable at all, no matter how good the body tracking,
MS thought Sony would pull another PS3: high price, exotic specs and late release.Originally Posted by richisawesome

They seem to have missed that Sony fired Kutaragi into the sun.
This was never going to be another PS3.
It's actually a sequel to that one, lol. As if people were clamouring for more!Originally Posted by FonkyByNature
