Do people really want to play the very few exclusives that are going to come out over the next several months that badly? There are almost no games coming out on these things for awhile still, and there're only a few games actually on them. Why do people always get this crazy over launches?

I have opened up the box and payed to have the ps3 games downloaded on to ps4. Now the games can be played on the system. It cost me an extra $20.00 to have both downloaded. The system was only used for this operation.

The Employee Special Edition PS4 with BC should've gone for much higher, what a steal

are we looking at the same list? the only $1K+ auctions I see are for both consoles. edit: as in the seller was selling a ps4 and an x1 to the same buyer.

Most people play Multiplatform games, not exclusives.

Just because it's exclusive doesn't mean it's better than all the rest.

Most of the $1k XBoxes come with a PS4.

The main takeaway fm the links is that PS4's sell on average $200 above their MSRP, whereas the XBox sells from $100-200 above its MSRP. It's tracking lower, but there is a built in premium between the two consoles.

Well, it's been 7 years since the last Sony and 8 since the last Microsoft consoles. This isn't exactly like people upgrading to the next Ipad or Iphone every year. If you're into something like Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty, why not get the best version available? Plus, it's fun to get new things!

A lot of people don't want to play an inferior version, especially when they know they would upgrade anyways.

Playing Tony Hawk on my PS1 while knowing there is a PS2 version that blows it out of the water made me feel like shit.

As someone else just said, the multiplatform games look much better.

Also, there are people who are rich, or people with a lot of expendable income who didn't pre-order, and they realize they want a new console now, and they're willing to pay a premium to get it now.

ebay is more about keeping buyers happy now. If they guy who bought it is unhappy, paypal will reverse the transaction without issue. Seller would have had to have included (box only, no console) in title to have a chance of winning.

I reported this. I hope ebay will take action. It's nothing more than a scam. Stating at the very end of the description that it's only for the box, doesn't change a thing about that imo. It's clearly intended to mislead people and that's what counts.
