I just finished playing some Left 4 Dead 2 a few minutes ago, and not until now have I realized how handy the 'Take a Break' option is for quick pauses in co-op games. Gotta go piss? House is fucked up somehow? Girl/Guy needs a quick hug or something? Hungry? Take a break and let the AI handle what you need to do. Not only does it not stop the flow of the gameplay, it takes the idea of drop-in/drop out and evolutionizes it on a whole new level. For competitive MP it's the worst thing to have, but for Co-Op games? Horde mode in Gears? Some NMRIH rounds? CoD Zombies? It'd be perfect.

Pausing it for a few minutes would be ideal. It would have especially came in handy when I was doing 3-hour Zombie sessions on WaW and Black Ops, couldn't answer the phone normally.

They could put it so a game can be paused for 5 minutes if all agree.

StarCraft II has a request pause feature, thought that was pretty nice too.
