Origins doesn't have any gimmicky gameplay, it's a pure platformer; plain and simple.which rayman do i want? origins or legends?
they both seem to be pretty good. ive never played a rayman before
Legends improves on Origins in terms of graphics and such and adds in Murfy levels -- levels that have you tilting the vita and using touch to change the level as the CPU moves AI player(s) through the stage.
Have you done the ultimate hell known as the Gravity Slide challenge in one of the DLC packs? :DI wish so bad there was a retry option before actually finishing the challenge. You can upload them to the cloud. So when upgrading memory cards will physical game saves be affected, or can I upload those to the cloud too?
If you don't see them in the "auto" list for enablement, it means you need to have the card in the slot to do the upload, most likely.
Entirely dependent on if you can handle the 30fps with slowdown at times combined with some infuriating bow controls.I don't know if you played the PS3 version(s) of the game, but would you care to give some general impressions? I loved the NG series (don't intend to play 3), and occasionally get the urge to push some nostalgia buttons in portable form.
Don't wanna be left sour, though... is it worth it?
If you can look past that and see a price you're comfortable paying, sure.
Free on PS+ was good enough that I played through it once. I haven't put much time in it since then though... to many better games to play that don't have technical issues.
I have all 3 'sigma' type games on PS3 -- if I'm getting that NG itch and I don't need it to be on Vita, I'm definitely going to boot NGS, NGS2, or NG3:RE on my console.
My bad, it was a health checkpoint race.I haven't been able to download the DLC packs, but I plan to. The gravity slide challenges are a real thorn in my side in general.
But there's a bit at the end where gravity slide needs to be spot on if you're going to make the gold. Pain in the ass.

If you like the others you'll probably like this from what I hear. One big issue I've been having is accidentally entering first person view by bumping the touch screen while using the sticks. Sucks that they don't let you turn off the front touch controls completely.I don't know if you played the PS3 version(s) of the game, but would you care to give some general impressions? I didn't see your original post, but if you have impressions of Sigma+ 2 I'd like to hear those too ^^oh wait nevermind, you're asking about sigma+ 1 lol .
Thanks to Frost and rCIZZLE for your views. I also have Sigma 1 and 2 on PS3, so it would be for pure novelty value of cutting fools and unlocking stuff on the go. I'll probably wait until it drops in price.
SSL certificates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_SecurityIs SSL some security thing? I should prob. remove my CC details if they stored them then when I get my 64 gb
It's probably OK since they use Paypal to process credit cards. My beef was with their account system. No SSL certificate means account details (address, phone, email address, passwords) are sent out in the open over the Internet, unencrypted, ready for the taking by anyone with a packet sniffer. I'm exaggerating a bit, but it's still not safe and they should really fix that.
Yowza, well at worst I'll be getting ads and promos via e-mails which I'll just dump to my spam folder =PSSL certificates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_Security

Will double check that my cc details aren't stored in my account and hopefully nothing weird will happen in the future. I might just use them for the 64 GB only and grab JPN PSN codes from Japan codes or play asia.
Really Sony, if you're going to make the system region free to begin with... *sigh* I guess it's better than region lock.
At least Sonic & All Stars Racing is coming up on PS+...
Yeah, it's nuts. Their logic is that a handheld is a more personal device than a home console even though plenty of families share their handhelds. I hope they'll make the process of switching accounts less cumbersome in the future but I really doubt it.Man, I was going to jump on the $20 16GB card at Gamestop, but I didn't know you needed to do a system restore every time you want to switch accounts. That sounds like a real pain in the ass. I'll just import physical copies I guess.

Haven't heard much about it since it's announcement. I think there was just a "we're working on it" or "it's still in development" type "update" sometime this year, but that's about it.
I don't like a lot of modern games' and the way we have to 'retry' things.Originally Posted by killatopak

If you die, it shouldn't have to re-load the whole thing. D:< Instant retries need to be standard. D;
Love Gravity Rush though.
The graphics were fine for me in NGS2+ and the first few chapters were perfectly fine in the framerate. It's when you get to those [spoiler]flying demon enemies in the city[/spoilers] that's when I had the framerate issues start. And that's when I stopped playing.Originally Posted by corrosivefrost

From what I've heard, I think the performance is supposed to be worse than NGS+ with worse graphics. That's just something I can't tolerate. I'll try it if it ever comes to PS+, but for the price and what's offered? No thanks.
xP
Overall had fun with it despite it's problems, but it was certainly not worth $40.
Framerate drops a lot in later stages, and framerate dips a lot in the open world (duh) but it's really bad in the car chase side missions and the boss battles in the open world. I don't know why they put so many damn cars in the game, those are probably wy the car chases drop so much. Your on the hood of the car and the framerate drops like crazy as it drives past a bajillion cars (even drove through a van in one of them).
It's also missing content from the vanilla PS3 version. No Iguana level, no blimp races. :\
And generally the game is ugly. Spider-Man looks great, but most everything else looks 'meh'. The other humans look bad. So bad. And textures from far away look like complete crap, looks better close up though. It's nice that it's still open world at least, unlike the 3DS version.
So missing content, no extra DLC content included (like Wii U got), $40 a year later. Seems legit, Activision.
Didn't have that problem at all.Just purchased Killzone Mercenary and the game is pretty horrible. The controls work well, but that fps drop at times is pretty brutal.
Thanks Vitabros, I loved the whimsy of the demo. I'm thinking of giving it a buy. Especially since I heard the ending is nice and emotional.Originally Posted by VanWinkle

Finally we might hear something. Been pretty keen to get GoW on the Vita.God of War 1+2 Vita was rated by ESRB

Also will probably buy God of War as long as the frame rate is good and it isn't buggy. Would be cool to have it as a Q1 release
From what I read this seems to be the case, that it takes its cues from the International Versions of the gamesOriginally Posted by killatopak
The discount is already live. Arguably Legends is better than Origins but has less content.
Unless it's like the international version then I don't see it having dual language support. It might be when there is an Asian release because those typically feature dual Language stuff.
Also downloaded Legends :D thanks!!!
I love my 32gb. At least I don't have to upgrade it every 2 years. :DSo you're a bust.
I forgot to tell you but they added a patch of sorts that includes additional content so it really is better than Origins. From what I read this seems to be the case, that it takes its cues from the International Versions of the games

A 4gb Vita memory card
Upgraded from 16 GB to 32 GB about a year ago. I have a crapload of games on here from day one of the upgrade that is still untouched. 16 GB is still plenty of room gaming storage. 32 GB is having to change games out maybe once a year. 64 GB to me is just overkill and ocd needing to look at everything you own.
not paying that much to upgrade. i got a good deal last year on a 16.

I'm done with this already. I picked touch controls, which was fine up until the first zombie encounter in the house, but I have no idea what the game wants me to do here. I tried 'dodging' with the analog stick as well as swiping a direction away from the zombie when it lunges... no matter what I do, it doesn't work. I must have tried 20+ times.
More space on the memory card.
But none of you don't, so hah!
I'm saddened when I look at all the games on my Vita that have gone untouched or unfinished. I decided to take a hard line and cut back on my purchases. I picked up the PS Plus for $30 promo and will collect those games but thats it.Originally Posted by silkysmooth

Soul Sacrifice
Muramasa
Katamari
Valkyria Chronicles 2

various Zen pinball tables
I feel guilty having that many games unfinished on there staring at me everyday. Almost makes me sick.
I understand thats the argument used for it, but I still don't see it. There is literally not enough time in the day to be micromanaging that many games on even a monthly basis. As I pointed out above that is literally, right now all the games I have on a 32gb and except for Hotline, Sine Mora and I believe Muramasa they have been on my card for 6+ months, the vast majority a year. Play your damn games, stop wasting time managing them and just play them. Some of us don't have the best connections in the world, so redownloading/alternating games becomes quite the chore.
