I think Microsoft/Sony should pick it up(could definitely see MS picking it up). My guess is that it would play like the batman games with a little bit of gun play mixed in.
Sometimes I read the end of a sentence first then the middle then the beginning because I'm weird.
So I got excited when I read "Epic's Samaritan tech demo becomes a full game". Then was subsequently disappointed when I read "Thread: I'm still hoping..."
/sigh.

What's Epic up to these days anyway?
Me too. There would be people clamoring as soon as it would be unveiled though: "Wow, completely different from the original tech demo! What a downscale!". But it certainly scratched my scifi/Blade Runner itch.
What kind of game would it be? Another third person shooter?
Didn't Epic just cancel project Nano/Blueprint that was based on Samaritan?
Didn't look like it would make a great game.
maybe next generation.
This is project nano btw...

But like I said don't get to attached.

I'm thinking:
Microsoft have partnered with Epic for the new IP.
Announced at Microsofts E3 2014 conference.
Late 2015 release.
Edit. I do think Samariton and Infiltrator are indicative of what Epic are upto.

Has a tech demo EVER turned into a real game? FFVII R, Super Mario 128, Samaritan etc... I don't see why people get excited for them when there's seemingly no history of them coming to fruition.
All those people begging for tech demos to become full games (see Quantic Dream threads) lack imagination. Wouldn't you rather have something that hasn't already been done?
Why is this only the first time I've seen this (I've heard of the project before, but hadn't seen any footage yet). Goddamn, that looks amazing! Is that...in engine?
There is a "Rocket Beta"What's Epic up to these days anyway?

Mario 128 ended up being pikmin and FFVII R really was an early pass at Before Crisis' end sequence, so in a sense they did.Has a tech demo EVER turned into a real game? Gears of War was basically the Unreal Engine 3 tech demo.Has a tech demo EVER turned into a real game? FFVII R, Super Mario 128, Samaritan etc... I don't see why people get excited for them when there's seemingly no history of them coming to fruition.
But on this note, I thought Samaritan was one of the most generic shoot-shit-till-it-dies looking games in a while. An impressive showcase of tech, no doubt, but I wasn't exactly itching to play it.
Epic isnt what it use to be.. I dont really expect much from that company at all.

They used the locust and some environment to showcase UE3 back in the day. Shit was bananas.
