So are you a dealer or something? Or you just collect sealed?Originally Posted by Shadow Ranger

(big ass list)
haha, not a dealer. I collect to a degree. I get that aspect. Trying to lessen that side these days, though due to time, money and space. Some of these I really was supposed to play but just haven't and probably won't get the time to. Some are of course double/triples, mostly FF titles. So are you a dealer or something? That's cool. I used to always open my stuff out in the car, and then sometimes I never touched the game after that, heh. So weird.Originally Posted by Shadow Ranger

ET for Atari
Phalanx for SNES
New Super Luigi U standalone for wii u
Wind Waker HD with Ganondorf figurine
I also have a sealed Dragon Quest VIII ps2 demo
I don't think anything on Xbox is really rare, aside from the LE consoles like the Panzer Dragoon one. Or even if it's low quantity, the demand isn't there. I remember the Xicat games being tough to spot at retail back then, but afaik they're worth dirt.Is Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on the original Xbox considered "rare?" How about Psychonauts? I have both of those sealed, snagged them when they were on rock-bottom clearance at Toys R Us. I kept hoping against hope that they'd be made playable (via backward compatibility) on the 360, but it never happened.
The Last Story with steelbook case
Pandora's Tower with steelbook case
Obviously the European versions
I have all the operation rainfall games sealed for the wii
I know at least Xenoblade Chronicles is worth money sealed. Nothing else really worth merit.
Yeah, when I found out about this I stocked up. I have 5 copies (4 sealed).I've got a new sealed Too Human. Which, due to Silicon Knights losing the lawsuit to Epic, may never be produced again either digitally or physically.
Other than that, I probably have at least a couple of hundred sealed games ranging from PS1 to current gen.

Came with my PS2 and never bothered.
If you purchased it back in 2005, then there is a likely chance the hidden content is still there. I remember hearing about the recalls in 2006, so you could have a copy, but it's not worth too much.Originally Posted by speculawyer

plenty of rare (well, old) complete games. what you get when you've been buying games for 30 years.
That said, there are a few items I specifically imported from Japan and US for collecting purpose only (not sure if there is anything 'rare' in my list) as in:
the Limited Edition of Under Defeat for the Dreamcast
the Gamestop Special Edition of Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube
the Collector's Edition of Final Fantasy XII for the PS2
the Love is Over boxset of Catherine for the PS3
the Limited Edition of Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3
I also have a bunch of still sealed European special/collector's editions but nothing too hot, I got them since I loved the games not because of their value/rarity (I'm talking about ICO, Demon's Souls, Halo3, Heavy Rain...).
Speaking about accessories, I have even less of them in sealed condition but... The Dragon Quest VIII Slimepad is something I'll never get out of its box. XD
PS1
Arc the Lad Collection
Gamecube
Baten Kaitos Origins
DS
Etrian Odyssey 2
Luminous Arc 2
Wii
Fortune Street
Sin and Punishment 2
Ico
ZOE 2
KOTOR II for Xbox
A lot of times I don't mean to keep them sealed, it's just that I don't play them when I buy them and they keep moving to the back of the backlog.
class of heroes 2
shadow hearts
the dark spire
magna carta
tomba
I have two of those. I also have a sealed copy of non-GH Xenogears. It's in a box somewhere with other goodies.I have a factory sealed copy of this.
Literally just sitting at my mom's place collecting dust. She mentioned it to me on Thanksgiving actually how she still remembered that she had it. Asked me if it was worth anything and I didn't really know what to say.
So, what say you GAF?
Xenoblade(bought 2 copies, one I will leave sealed).
Skyward Sword (Wii)
Ni No Kuni (PS3)
The Witcher 2 (360 collectors edition)
Friday the 13th (NES)
Abadox (NES)
Dragons Crown (PS3)
Xenogears (PS1)
I think that's about it.
I'm a collector and I don't play much so I have heaps of sealed games. Loads of in box consoles too.
I have one of those as well. The times I've checked ebay it goes for $100-$120 sealed.I have a factory sealed copy of this.

Such a thing of beauty. I have fond memories of the GBA Fire Emblem games many years ago, one Japanese series that has well designed fleshed-out characters.Originally Posted by Cody_D165
Actually posted this just the other day but I got this in a trade with a friend recently. Planning to keep it sealed because I've already played the game before. Not too rare or anything but still kinda cool.
They'd have been worth something if Kojima didn't drive that series into the dirt.
No offense intended, but that collection is an absolute mess. One of the most debated aspects of video games are the collector's editions of the blockbuster titles available. Take your Modern Warfare 2 bust for example, a game that was released 4 years ago and on which you probably spent $100. It's just taking room now, made of cheap plastic or resin, not something that has enough purpose to justify it's existence within your room.Originally Posted by RealityPales

All of those are technically open though.
On the other hand however, that NCR shirt is sweet. Where did you get it from?
A sealed copy of KOTOR for XBOX.
Its a funny story really. I bought two copies, one for myself and one for my cousin when the game came out. He never gave me the money for it...so I kept it. I don't think he even remembers anything about it.
I never really looked to see if its rare, but I know I've had friends have a hard time finding used copies.
I got MW2's prestige edition for like $40, so no harm done really. And the NCR was a pre-order bonus for New Vegas at either GameStop or BestBuy.Originally Posted by AlteredForms
