Look out how AC3 turned out.

They thought that period was going to be amazing and it turned out to be extremely boring and not very fun.

I hope they do a better job at making the city feel like a city, instead of having copy pasted buildings everywhere with NPC that walk around aimlessly.

I'm just winding up a holiday in India and think a game set here during the early days of the Raj would work fantastically. You have the huge cities that have been missing in the last two installments, jungles, mountains and sense of historical conflict where nobody comes across as right. I believe they have already explored the setting via a comic.

Barring that I'd be up for Meiji restoration Japan (think the Last Samurai), boxer era China, or England and France during the French Revolution. Whatever they do I do not want a American setting or anything remotely modern day.

If they do go for an Asian locale I hope the voice actors are more Sleeping Dogs than Deus Ex.

That would get awkward real fast.

Wild west and Japan would be sick but the French Revolution sounds really cool too. There are a lot of events they could cover with that.

Asia. Either Samurais or Ninjas or both. I hope no-one suggests an old western setting, as it will be a shit game when it is compared to RDR. Ubisoft can't match that Rockstar quality unfortunately.

This. I would either want a 1920's Noire setting, or a Wild West themed Assassin's Creed.

Hopefully they don't. Feudal Japan has been done to death in videogames already. Let's do something that hasn't been done as much. French Revolution, Medieval or Early Modern China, etc, let's do some of these places.

It's gonna follow Edward Kenway back to London, in an unnumbered AC (AC4 part 2).

AC4 part 3 will be a Edward/Haytham/Connor crossover and tie up the Kenway's story. In the same formula AC1, AC2, AC:B and AC:R was with Altair and Ezio.

AC5 in 2016 with a new protagonist.

I could see them not doing it to stick to Desmond's ancestors, but they could try to squeeze in a little bit of Asian heredity in there.

Edit: also, you're crazy if you don't think AC4 will have spinoffs. It's already subtitled.

Hell, I'm bias. Do Portugal. I'm Portuguese. Do it while we owned half the world lol. All the Templars are in Portugal and the assassin liberates all the colonies. It's European, has great architecture, it's on the coast (naval missions) the Açores could be little puzzle islands, etc.

Not really. They came as traders in the early days of the Raj. The Mughals were the oppressive local rulers that had invaded the place a while back. The locals themselves were no angels and rife with superstition and conflict. Add to that the French, Portuguese and some other players. Basically nobody's right and you have some absolutely massive cities with great architecture like Delhi. I think it would be the perfect setting.

You've got an open world and sailing infrastructure already built on the current AC engine. The obvious choice is medieval Scandinavia. What to do with the story? Don't care, whatever they come up with would be worth it to play as Trygir Othriksson, taking a longboat upriver to pillage some pre-templar settlements.

Japan, Ninjas, hiding in the dark and sprinting across old Japanese style rooftops would be sweet

But Ubisoft would probably mess it up. The thought of it would likely be better than execution

If they do this, they need to take a leaf outta AC4. I want to feel like a viking, not an Assassin that happens to be around Vikings. Hoping for some GTA style variety in the world, I hope they abandon last-gen but I'm not holding my breath.

I want to see a sequel to Connor's story. He's a tragic character whose story ends on such a downer, that I'd like to see some closure, but fuck knows we're not going to see that. I would like to see the french revolution though.

Next year is probably ACIV: B
Year after is Osiris ACV
After that maybe Osiris spinoffs
Then new location

So probably years away before any new location that isn't Pirates or Egypt!

No way, ACIV's great but after 30-50 hours of doing the same thing three hundred times (take out ships, jump onto random island to collect collectible) it's definitely 100% played out (and I really love ACIV).

I actually think next year's game will be another Pirate game and an ACIV: Subtitle spinoff since they like to milk things a few games. But it's gonna be a bit staler next time I think.
