Get on it Ubi... oh and hire this guy.
It will be set in the future and you assassinate by dropping on people from kilometre tall buildings.
A)It would make sense for a protagonist to primarily use bladed/melee weapons (this is why Connor was a native American- it wouldn't make sense for a white guy to use swords or axes.)
B)It hasn't been done to death by other video games.
B rules out pretty much anything Asian because ninjas. A rules out pretty much anything past 1800 or so.
Really? Just so we are clear;Originally Posted by MavFan619
I agree after being a pirate I don't know how anything after can live up to that. Though I'm back in on liking Assassins Creed thanks to 4.
AC1 was good for its time.
AC2 was excellent. Best in the series.
AC:B was a great addition to 2.
AC:R was a disgrace and failure of a game and finale to Ezio's story arc.
I have not played 3 because Revelations was so bad, but is this about the same as your opinion? I'd love for the series to be good again, so if 4 is good I'll play it. for sure.

If it's some place in the US, I think that Washington DC during construction of the Capitol during the Civil War. Wrap a whole Civil War storyline into it, dump Lincoln in on that shit. The setting itself, for me, would be brilliant.
Aye, or Tale of Two Cities London & Paris during the French Revolution. That two could be sublime. Storm the Bastile, kick off the French Revolution, and watch French civilization go to hell.Napoleonic Wars set in Paris and London plx.
Bothersome.
Hopefully it's somewhere where the franchise can prosper and improve. A noire game sounds awesome because a regular noire game wouldn't have AC inspired stuff, for example.
Ruling out Asian locations would be just about the worst decision ever which obviously means that's what Ubi will do.Originally Posted by Suzushiiro

This series never going to Asia, meaning China AND Japan, would be a shame. The tool set is all there, and the locations make TOO MUCH sense. It reeks of them avoiding the obvious just because, even though nearly everyone wants it.
Fuck "ancient" Japan.
I'm kind of partial do doing an Assassins Creed set during the travels of Marco Polo. It would span from Western Europe to India and parts of Russia. That is the key. Using different settings in one game but still making it work story wise. You could have ships at sea fighting off pirates, riding through dense jungles and ruins, riding elephants, climbing temples in India or running through colonized Europe.Originally Posted by fredrancour
History buffs: any periods of Russian history with good potential?
After that, however, I'd love to see a Feudal Japan setting. There's so much potential there, it's crazy. And that would probably be the first "true next-gen" AC game.

Somehow. I want a ton of depth with the PS4 game.
I did love the West Indies though.
OR! We could go to the Wild West with Old Man Connor who decided to walk the Earth... west.
Or, England during the Industrial Revolution.
St. Petersburg during Rasputin's reign. Maybe have you even assassinate (or try to, at least) kill Rasputin himself. Given all the crazy theories surrounding the guy, he seems like a natural focal point for one of these games.Originally Posted by fredrancour

Obviously stylized in The Last Blade, but you can imagine the colours!

This is actually mentioned in AC4.
I think they'd do it if they could make it not feel like Yet Another Ninja Game. This would probably involve using an Asian era/location not usually associated with ninjas.Originally Posted by Net_Wrecker

Heytham's story is pretty much entirely done in AC3 and Forsaken, the novel.London. Tell us the tale of Haytham, the worthy portagonist that was already 100 times better than his whiny son in the five minutes he appeared in
It's depressing. The entire Kenway Family saga is depressing. Plus, that time period would be too early for Victorian/Edwardian England, which would be way more interesting.
I think The Order 1886 will do the whole Victorian era England better.Originally Posted by NotTheGuyYouKill

ugh that's terrible. A secret son would work maybe?
