American actor Christopher Evan Welch, best known amongst older gamers for playing Tails in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, passed away December 2, 2013 in Los Angeles at the age of 31.

In 1993, when he was 11, played Sonic's famous two-tailed sidekick for the series' 65 episodes. Despite its age, the show keeps getting rerun in the US and around the world. The most recent run in English was on This TV from 2010 to 2011.

Man, that's horrible. My heart goes out to his family. Tails was outrageously cute, and one of my favorite video game characters of all time, even though I was on the Mario side back in the old Mario vs. Sonic days.

used to watch reruns of this every morning before going to school 7:30 in the morning....school meaning college. That's how good it was. I wasn't watching cartoons much during that age, but some reason this show kept my attention..lol.
