I feel like FF15 is going to be met with disappointment once it is released, at least for the hardcore fans.

The long development time and the teasing is going to hurt the game. It has to be an incredibly amazing game for it to pull through with fans. If it just great, then its going to get slammed because of the anticipation.

Looks like E3 will be the next time we see anything major, then. Unless SE has another way that they will release info before then. But that's a really long time from now...

Any way you spin it, this is just embarrassing. I'm not too confident that the FFXV project is coming along even remotely well.

Horrible line-up, the only one that looks kinda interesting for me is Bravely Default. I remember when they said they were going to show info on FFXV more frequently.

I remember back when I got the PS3 in 08, I was going to buy at least 2 copies one for play, and for to keep it sealed because this game had the potential to be their best FF yet.(Still has imo)
Except, it never came out. FF 13 was not what I expected to be. Oh yeah my PS3 got YLOD while playing 13. When I thought versus would come out a sequel to 13 was announced, and another one.

I mean those lighting games were not necessary, and when they have games people want, they just don't release them in the way the majority wants(BBS on the PSN store for vita, Type-0 in the west) so they keep on pushing us those games.

Sequels to Dirge of Cerberus would have been welcomed! Not those 13's!(I loved Dirge of Cerberus, a shame that nothing for last gen came out regarding this)

They fired their boss so why do they keep doing this to us!

I think it's funny that a lot of the games they are showing are either already out (Dragon Quest X) or almost out (Bravely Default For The Sequel) but yet they don't show anything of Drakengard 3. Does SE not care at all about that game?

This has been the cycle of FF fans for over a decade now. Some things never change, some people never grow up and realize they're not kids anymore.

Well the truth is that they only started on FFXV in the end of 2011/beginning of 2012, so it still needs a lot of time in the oven. Nomura even commented how he thought his games were announced too early. SE is probably just trying to hit that 3-3.5 year turn around and get the game out for mid 2015. And it will deserve every bit of it, quite frankly. Square Enix have botched the release of this game just about as badly as you can.

The other cold truth of the matter is that it took 5 years for SE to decide whether or not to make this game a mainline FF or not. A competent company should be able to do that in a year max. "Hey I'm Versus 13 and I'm currently having an identity crisis. The big boys want to move up a rank and become a big Final Fantasy."
Fast Forward 5 years later:
"Versus 13, You have been promoted to FF15."
"Yay me, so when do I come out?"
".......Please be excited. You will come out soon."

lol, like I already said, they're extremely incompetent, and they have been plagued by management issues for forever (and the new CEO doesn't seem to be doing shit for those very problems). I've just given up being mad. I just can't feel anymore.

Seriously, Square's so out of touch in the mobile market it's ridiculous.

Also everyone bitching about not seeing XV or KH3 at this, hold off until E3. If we don't see anything then, then there'll be cause for concern. Neither's coming in 2014, that much is blatantly obvious.

Edit: Am I the only one who no longer has any faith in Nomura as a director? I'm excited for FFXV and KH3, and yet I can't help but believe they'll probably be bloated, heartless (no pun intended), melodramatic messes that further extinguish the love I have for these series which used to mean so much to me. Not shocked. I will be interested in KH 2.5 but there is a severe lack of non remakes...

They are probably just going to devolve into a mobile company this gen, and I am going to cease to care about them. The time is close. FF used to be my fave series, but it is becoming a joke, and I don't care at all for these lame endless re-releases. Played the games decades ago, looking for something new.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2 3DS only thing on the list that Im interested in.

Final Fantasy XV - 2015 Belief

FF15 and KH3 are two of my most anticipated games. It pains me to say they won't come out for a long, long time.

Sigh, want both of these games ASAP.
FFXV SHOULD be put next year, was hoping the end of 2014 if anything, but them not showing anything lately isn't giving me much hope...
KH3 I can understand if it's 2015/2016, but FFXV, that's been in development for YEARS, how many more years do they need!? Unless it's for "bumping up the quality" but surely it should be mostly done by now, it's insane!

I've not lost hope completely. FFVsXIII was at Jump Festa a couple of times even if it wasn't officially announced to be there and they did show the slightly revamped FFXV trailer at TGS even though it wasn't listed either. So... maybe a new trailer with 95% the old footage & some glimpses of new stuff.
