I'm honestly not surprised. I got the impression that it was still a very long way away when they showed the E3 video. And to be honest I would not be surprised if this turns into a Duke Nukem kind of thing. Now that would completely fuck SE over, and perhaps we would see some true core change.

As long as both get a PC release, its whatever. I've waited this long, I can wait longer.

I understand, though, there is a lot of things Nomura has to do right now so it's understandable that he's trying to focus on KH 3 and FF XV so that have a speedy development and don't reach development hell.

FFVI was made of pixelated sprites, those are high-res graphics trying to imitate the pixelated style. Makes no sense, and most of the times is ugly as hell; they should have just remade the game like they did with III and IV on DS. Here everything looks clean-cut, generic, cheap and washed out.

I'm not a fan of iOS ports, but it actually doesn't look that bad. The smooth cut looks kinda nice. Would've still prefer a full-on 3DS remake though.
