Gotta knock this game off so I can play the 3DS Zelda.
First of all, I forgot how small the screens were on this thing. I think I've seen bigger postage stamps.
Second, my hand keeps cramping on the d-pad. Owowow.
Third, F that worm boss in the tower. I have fallen off the platform so many times and still haven't beaten it.

That single boss on its own almost sours the game for me. The combat is painstaking as it is, but that boss just exacerbates the tiny fighter's sword and FIFTY FOOT BOUNCE OFF from that guy.Gotta knock this game off so I can play the 3DS Zelda.

lol
Fuck Moldorm.
Since you're playing the GBA version with the smaller FOV, it must be even more frustrating.

I'm surprised anyone hates the DS Phat dpad. The DS Lite's was garbage tho.
The DS Phat d-pad is the best. DS Lite started the awful tradition of super wobbly loose feeling d-pads on Nintendo handhelds, a tradition that continues to this day; my 3DS d-pad feels like it'll come off.
Even though I had already 100%ed Link to the Past I happily bought it again on the GBA and 100%ed it again.
I also played quite a bit of Four Swords with my brother. We both unlocked everything.

Was hoping for a thread talking about a classic Zelda game, but instead got bitching about the obvious.
My favorite Zelda game... I'll be getting A Link Between Worlds for the holidays as a gift.
That worm boss was annoying to me as well, but you'll take it down with time. There's another boss you'll really hate lol. Do you have a Wii or Wii U? Perhaps you can play it on the VC so you don't have to use the DS since it's not comfortable for you.

I wish they would release this on 3ds virtual console, seems like an obvious release on the same day as LBW but that didnt happen
The trick with Moldorm is you have to be aggressive and constantly rushing towards him. You'll have to take a few hits in the process, but hiding only prolongs the battle and makes falling that much more irritating.
Wow I never had trouble with Moldorm, surprised to hear that from people.
It's always interesting to compare stuff like that in older games from before the Internet age. I'm sure there are a ton of Zelda bosses I struggled with that other people found to be a cakewalk.

I do have a Wii, but don't know that I'd want to buy it and then replay through all that I played already.Originally Posted by Think Different

Cramping may just be me - I have problems with all the handhelds.
The DS Lite's D-pad was absolute garbage. My first ones crapped out on me and I had to get a new DS Lite. I miss the D-pad of the Phat DS.
If only my fingers weren't so damn fat >:

I replayed it recently on the Shield...looked gorgeous. Not sure I could stomach playing the whole thing on my DS Lite.
The worm boss is one of my favorite bosses in any game ever. Hitting him is so satisfying. The sound effect is great.
Finally beat the bastard with a little persistence and some help from youtube.
Man this game took up soooo many hours of my childhood. Playing ALBW makes me remember just how much I love this game. I could spend hours just going around the overworld killing stuff and exploring.
Still has the best world of any Zelda to this day.

Remember the prototype? Was disappointed we didn't get it, but was blown away on my day one purchase playing Super Mario 64 in my hands.
