What's worse is, is that with how much they got just for selling copies to retailers, they'll make a game next year with the same shitty quality and same shitty problems.Yes Activision dig yourself a nice deep grave.
Preach.Battlefield Premium is not highway robbery, it's actually a great deal.
It is a shame the game was launched in a broken state, but the game is totally legit once they fix all the bugs/crashes. Puts Ghosts to absolute shame in the gameplay/map department. And every other way, too.
I think the state that BF4 launched in is going to be what keeps the series from overtaking CoD.
Extinction is really good, but unfortunately it's scaled in such a way that as far as I can tell it's almost impossible for a two man team (or at least my two man team) to clear the second area. I believe it's really designed for 4 people and anything less just isn't feasible.
Haven't touched the SP yet as I hear it's not very good, but I will someday just for the spectacle of it all.
Actually the Knack defense DOES work here so long as Call of Duty: Ghosts is the best-selling title on not one but FIVE different platforms and that it continues to sell above and beyond any other title on the market despite what should be horrendous word-of-mouth.Originally Posted by Derrick01
Sorry Activision but the Knack defense isn't going to work here.
So long as consumers keep swallowing, Activision is perfectly justified to continue to pour shit down their throats.
"See, they appreciate it. They keep coming back for more!"
Week Later... Holy fuck this game is trash. I can't play for more than 10 minutes without getting angry. I want my money back.

I know this is a pure "your mileage may vary thing", but from my experience, it matters.
I'm in a WoW guild, and when the CoD craze started, a bunch of us starting playing together on domination, and it would be a yearly thing. Usually we have until April before hacks take over making the game too frustrating to play/bother with, but even then, I've always had over 200 hours in each installment(Ghosts being 400 hours), while my friend has had close to 800 with the last one(usually almost always doubles my playtime).
Yeah, he quit too.
That probably sounds funny given it's a yearly franchise, but Blops2 felt like they gave a damn with their design.
This one feels "B-team mail-in". Sorry if any of you worked on it, but this shit is bland.
I'm happy with the game on PS4, it looked like ASS on my PS3 but i bought it to keep me busy while the PS4 launched.
Yeah. They're too big with too many random paths and rooms, and no flow whatsoever.Originally Posted by CronoShot

Why are there 5 doors leading into every room?
The maps are the worst thing about this year's CoD. Which is a shame because even though the lag compensation is still as bad as ever, the hit detection is much better than BO2.
Yeah, when Activision charges $15 for a map-pack, $50 for BF Premium seems like a damn gift from the heavens.Originally Posted by SolidSnakeUS
Agreed. BF3's Premium is worth it, mainly because it's not just maps, but modes, guns, weapons and a bunch of new stuff in general.
BF Premium is infinitely superior to Call of Duty Season Pass.
Then you have the option of, "oh you mean the same people who bullshitted the gaming world with fraudulent non-reality based Battlefield 4 reviews? Those are the people we should cater to?"
or this one which is always a classy respone, "Appease the critics? I think Jay-Z said it best with, "N**** you broke, what the f*** you gon' tell me?""
I very much agree, and despite how much I find Ghosts underwhelming, I'm quite looking forward to Treyarch's next effort. Ever since IW got diluted after Modern Warfare 2, their games seem to have lost that creative spark that lets them innovate. Broken as it may have been, Modern Warfare 2 introduced more series staples than you can shake a stick at.Originally Posted by gregor7777

I agree with both of you; and personally, the game hasn't been the same after 4, just shit upon shit every year.I'm one of the biggest Call of Duty fans there are. I've been with the series since the very first one on PC and I consider 4 to be one of the best games ever made. I've bought and played them all.
Ghosts is an embarrassment to the name of Infinity Ward.
Bring on Titanfall.
Even with how terrible BF4 has been so far, Ghost is on a different level of bad when it comes to actual gameplay.
Edit: Stonehaven and Siege, i hate thos maps. Chasm is also abysmal.
Was pretty much done with the game when I was killed twice in the same killcam by the same person. Spawns are total garbage when they don't have to be. The maps are large, why the hell are people just killed spawning around the next corner?I'm finding it fun but the maps and spawns are really bad.
Battlefield 4's current state may be a buggy piece of shit, but there's a decent game through all of it. Ghosts may not be as buggy as BF4, but there's nothing they can do to fix the horrible gameplay.Originally Posted by Mooreberg
The game would have to be really bad to be worse than Crashfield 4.
Problems include about 5 garbage maps, The span systems suck. Last time I played I was killed the second I spawned. I saw the replay and I could actually see myself spawning and being killed.
Maybe these can be fixed with a decent maps and updates.
..
aww shit.
I wonder how many simply "don't know better" (as in they don't really look at other games period), how many just get it as a social thing, and how many really do like this plenty even if they had played other games (or simply can't bring themselves to care about them)? There's always a lot of things people would possibly really like if they broadened their horizons, but I do think CoD's success at this point has a lot of inertia behind it. Nevermind how many disappointed customers there may be, just because a game sold a million doesn't mean you had a million people who liked it, not like we can choose to play the game THEN pay if we like it afterall without very generous demos or trials anyway.Actually the Knack defense DOES work here so long as Call of Duty: Ghosts is the best-selling title on not one but FIVE different platforms and that it continues to sell above and beyond any other title on the market despite what should be horrendous word-of-mouth.

Well, sales of future CoDs would probably dictate how many REALLY liked it, at least enough to keep buying it. The base that likes it but also would come to a place like this certainly sounds disappointed though, and critical scores didn't even dip THAT low, averaging around 70s rather than diving below the mid point in scoring.
At this point I'm just hoping that Titanfall isn't complete garbage on 360, because there's jack shit else going on right now on lastgen consoles now in terms of competitive shooters.
Seriously.Standby for Titanfall.

All the doubters that said Titanfall will never become a big thing are probably reconsidering their words.
The other titans have fallen, crushed by their own weight and as evidenced in this thread, by their own arrogance.
Respawn could not be in a better position to take the crown.
I've seen some that say "They need work", but nothing mirroring the fan response, as they so put it.
BF4 has more of a lasting chance to be better than COD this time around though. BF4 still has a sizable community, pretty large in fact and very vocal. Those who usually play BF games usually stick with them. Especially with them coming out saying that they will put on hold all other projects to get it fixed definitely sends the right message, one that hasn't been done yet by IW (especially in fixing spawns and overall game performance).BF4 is a great game and would put Ghosts to shame if it worked as intended. They had a golden chance
COD is a yearly installment, though. Activision could give a shit less about lasting chances!Originally Posted by SolidSnakeUS

But in terms of between the two games, BF4 has a much higher chance of getting itself righted in time.COD is a yearly installment, though. Activision could give a shit less about lasting chances!
As I stated in a previous post in this thread, Activision made enough just from retailers that they can make the same shitty game next year.
