Well I am surprised, I figured they'd just keep trucking out expansion while trying to work on the fixes at the same time leading to more issues. It's what they did with BF3 anyways, although that game wasn't in that crashing state BF4 is in. It is funny to note however that BF3 bugs still exist in BF4.
Free China Rising to all and 50% off Premium would go a long way to making people happy, even if its just a one or two week promotion.

Good. Once this game is fixed I'll pick it up. My brother has been having tons of issues on the PS4 version to the point where he's playing CoD Ghosts and he isn't even enjoying that.
This was the retail game that was keeping me excited for the PS4 until next year. Glad I didn't buy it although it's doubtful I'll find a better deal than the ones that were already available prior to this week.

Im sure their statement can't be read into much. I am certain they have already been mostly moved onto other projects well before BF4 even shipped. They are not halting these projects, designers and artists cannot help fix the technical problems of BF4.

EA missed a golden opportunity by releasing BF4 in the current state. From early indications it seems like on PS4/X1, BF4 is selling almost as many copies as COD:Ghosts, so they had the chance to take the marketshare from the start and then word of mouth would spread for late adopters.
It's how it worked last gen with COD4 too but they released a broken game while Activision launched a very safe COD game that actually works.
And it's not hard to imagine that DICE simply doesn't have the manpower to manage a 5 platform release with 2 of the SKUs being launch games.

They need to fix that netcode, the network stability (less rubberbanding and lag please), the sound glitches (I'll go through a whole game with virtually no sound on Lancang Dam/Golmud Railway), server crashes (especially for PC people), invisible walls on maps, disappearing servers and add rent-a-server, joining a squad before a game, server queues, different server rotations, infantry-only and 200% ticket servers for consoles, then you may move on DICE.
Oh and they should compensate all the users by giving us some free weapons, camos and a few map remakes (preferably of BF 2). That'll do, pig.

Pretty sure that phrase is only in the context of Battlefield team, who would presumably go into the early stage's of Battlefield 5 now, and ME and Star Wars are still going on. Though I suspect the other teams might lend some engineers.

Its a bit of a lie. I imagine their core engineering team is trying to fix the issues, but artists and designers are already working on whats coming next because they don't have anything to work on with these fixes. Half truth I guess.
EA needs a reboot.
So are these mainly console issues? Because the only problems I had were Video card related, once those got patched everything fine.
