But seriously, I really thought they'd fix the PC version this week with the patch. Nope, didn't happen.
The level designers and artists do have stuff to fix. There are invisible walls and geometry in BF4 maps that cause awesome WTF moments where you unload an entire magazine into a dude, only to realize that it's all been block by an invisible barrier as you see a bunch of sparks or puffs of smoke where you should be getting hit markers.Im sure their statement can't be read into much. I am certain they have already been mostly moved onto other projects well before BF4 even shipped. They are not halting these projects, designers and artists cannot help fix the technical problems of BF4.
Sure they are proritzing fixes, but the statement cant be taken at face value. It doesnt make sense to.
On the newest China Rising, the one map I think it's called Dragon's Teeth has a large mountain in the middle that people can get on top of, only, when you get up there, everyone is floating 10 feet above the actual geometry and there are random spots where you fall down under the geometry and the invisible wall issues crops up here as well on other mountains. It's super painfully obvious and rears it's ugly head easily on Obliteration where everyone just parachutes onto it.
They have stuff they can fix too, it's not just the programmers.
Ugh, just means even less development time for Battlefield 5 since EA has probably already locked it for October 2015.

What are the issues? Seriously i'm curious. I've been pretty lucky so far, besides stupid punkbuster. I have no idea why any game uses that shit.
WTF lol

Between this and Sim City EA should be fucking mortified at their launches recently. Unfortunately, they're laughing all the way to the bank. Not that I guess I'm helping much since I keep buying them.
Well, I was trying, one more time, to play BF4 on PS4... and the lag was bad (to the point of being a slide-show when Charlie was taken out on Hainan Resort map), the audio glitched out, and the game crashed back to the PS4 dashboard with the lovely error code/report function. This all happened just a few mins ago. EA is a fucking joke.Originally Posted by Doc Holliday

At least then we would know that you're actually trying.
Th BF series of shooters has been my favorite since the beginning. They get it fixed and I will buy a PS4 version of it.
I think that free premium for every customer that has bought any SKU of the game up to the point where the servers are stable and the single player is fixed.Originally Posted by Naminator
What honestly pisses me off is the fact that DICE actually believes that saying a few pretty words and giving us a fucking SCOPE along with a week of double experience is somehow an adequate way to fix their damaged reputation. Fuck you DICE! Do something REAL do something that takes effort, something that actually SHOWS us that even give a shit about your customers. How about a fixing the game and then giving us few free maps redesigned from Bad Company 2?
At least then we would know that you're actually trying.
Not only is it a show of goodwill, but it's also going to be a big financial hit against them which is exactly what they deserve.
When you have no cheat protection stuff like this happens:Originally Posted by Doc Holliday

Andrew Wilson - Today we have an announcement to make. Due to Unforeseen circumstances we have decided to delay Star wars Battlefront until the summer of 2020. We know you all will be disappointed by this news but trust us, It will be worth it.But...Battlefront =(.
Yours sincerely
C.E.O Andrew Wilson.
On top of that, teammates are as dumb as rocks most of the time so the game is just an infuriating experience both ways. A real damn shame since I actually love the weapon selection and equipment, but it would be nice to use them without the game freezing up for starters, and secondly I shouldn't have to play like a tryhard to carry the whole damn team to victory all the damn time for objective-based gametypes.
Sad what's going on, and it all seems to be EA's doing...
Soooo stupid to even support current gen consoles if your gonna give away the next gen version to early adopters for an extra $10...
Ill never understand why they still think a campaign is a good idea...
Probably also EA's idea..
They should have just kept Bad Company a console exclusive as much as it would suck for some PC players, and maintain the mainline Battlefield series a PC exclusive WITHOUT a single player campaign..(Though the test range is the coolest thing they've done in a while!)
It would create a nice balanced ecosystem, and they would still be able to expand their user base while keeping the integrity of their games intact, catering to both groups.
It would also be easier to manage development.
A solid complete Battlefield title (with video/mod tools) will keep the PC community happy for years, while console players who don't have as many pre set expectations can still get their Battlefield fix, though less constrained by a pre existing communities expectations of what "Battlefield" should be means to me. (Though it seems that people have a hard time translating what they want into clear words)
That would give DICE the chance to experiment and attempt to innovate and then transferring what will work to the mainline series.
EDIT: Lets hope we hear no mention of a sequel anytime soon, kinda hurt last time..
Aside from all the issues in Battlefield 4, playing on PC with friends has been a blast!! for the most part..
Even dealing with crashing a good 4-5 times in the same round on a more than capable system.
There is a great game waiting to be polished here.
It sucks that they deliver how they do but there lies great potential!!
Do we really think BF5 would release around then? I don't think it'll hit until 2016. Remember Battlefront is the next game coming out and I doubt it'll be out in 2014. This means they would be releasing Battlefront and BF5 in the same year, no way.Ugh, just means even less development time for Battlefield 5 since EA has probably already locked it for October 2015.
