I'm dying for a SRPG to play on my Vita, or at least another good turn based JRPG. Who knows when FFX-2 will come out here.

The reason I never picked up Days of Ruin was because it removed a lot of what I loved from Dual Strike. They nuked the tone to make it more dark and gritty and stripped away a lot of the fun little modes that Dual Strike had, only really adding online play from what I heard (and I wasn't interested in online for that game).

Big fan of SRPGs. I want more SRPGs. Here's to hoping they make a comeback.

If we go that far I'll throw in Front Mission 3 PSX on the Vita too.

I figure the lack of SRPGs on Vita is partly due to the low numbers of hardware sold, but it's possible the higher resolution of the Vita is scaring off SRPG developers due to art assets costs.

On the 3DS, I have no idea beyond not wanting to deal with the dual screens or something.

I prefer Devil Survivor 2. True, that there aren't that many SRPGs.

I'm waiting for Devil Survivor 2 to be localized... I could buy the DS version but I want to wait since I loved Overclocked so much. I think there will be more SRPGs coming... I think Fire Emblem did quite well!

Well, we might see another Fire Emblem game.

Ya, 3DS does have more than Fire Emblem.

Even if it didn't though, Fire Emblem would arguably be good enough on its own to make 3DS a great "SRPG system" :)

I can't remember if Crimson Shroud (3DS) is a SRPG or bog std JRPG.

While not handheld if you like Advance Wars emulate Warsong, Langrisser 2, Der Langrisser and Langrisser 4 apart from Warsong you'l need to use a english patch.

Natural Doctrine and Disgaea 4 are coming for the Vita. There is a Neptunia spinoff too. However, they are only releasing in JP and we don't have any news regarding localization.

For 3DS, FE:A and the SMT remake should tide you over. I'm not sure if there are upcoming as I haven't checked.

Nobody mentioning Ghost recon for 3ds? That is one excellent game IMHO and it has strategy and rpg elements.

I just got a 3DS the other day and picked up Fire Emblem tonight. Man it is awesome and I've never really played SRPG's before (probably why I'm getting my ass kicked so far). My only regret is that there is no competitive multiplayer.
