I recently went to my friends house to check out his wii. I was generally impressed. It was larger than I expected though.

Anyone play these titles? Kingdom Rush is arguably the best tower defense game ever. Great towers, great balance. The sequel is Frontiers and boy, does it not feel anywhere near as good. For fucks sake, they give you a mage tower that hits hard, super vast AND creates zombies with each ground unit kill, which acts as an amazing barrier to any enemies getting to the exits.

What a shame, so I still play the original.

Hmm, I thought Frontiers was more great KR goodness but to each their own I guess.

I love Tower Defense games and it's up there with Defense Grid. Love the KR series.

I liked them both a ton. Got every star (or 95% -- I forget) but I'm not really a hardcore player so I just build stuff that seems cool and they are both excellent for that.

I love them both. I think frontiers has more interesting towers and enemies, though it's probably a bit on the easy side compared to KR, which can get pretty brutal, specially the challenges.

Love these two games. The last level in Frontiers is completely unfair though. Took me so many tries to finally beat. Archer towers for life though.

Blackbird fly! Seriously, that tower coupled with the totem tower is ridonk. But still, I found it too easy :(

I don't like that I have to pay for new heroes in frontiers. I just stick with the default dude. Really like the change in towers though compared to KR just for the sake of being different. Haven't gotten very far in frontiers though.

Loved Kingdom Rush. Been waiting for Kingdom Rush Frontiers to appear online.

Looking forward to buying KR on Steam for the Blackburn campaign.

The best games you can play on any mobile device. Superb games, and oddly enough, the only good TD games IMO :P

That's the one thing I give them props for, changing up the towers. But still, in the older game, I would have to use a good mix of towers usually, particularly mixing up the archers and mage towers. In this game, damn I abuse the machine gun archer tower and the necro mage tower like a motherfucker.

I also really don't dig the feel of the artillery. I mean, I like the robot, but the AOE, super short range tower I'm not a fan.

Again, props to them. I almost with they make a sequel for both styles.

I'm a little annoyed at the lack of content for both titles online at least (I don't have KRF on mobile..my phone probably wouldn't handle it, i'll get it when I upgrade). I want to give them my money. Already bought the premium KR online...want more shit already.

I play these on long trips on the subway and it feels like I'm time traveling. I start it up and before I know it an hour has passed and I've arrived at my destination. Game never gets old. It's weird lol

They should bring these games to handhelds. It would be perfect for Vita and 3DS. Is there a pc version of Frontiers like the first one? I cannot play Frontiers on my phone.

My most played mobile games, love em both though the original is more of a challenge.

For anyone looking for a new TD fix on mobiles I recommend Tower Dwellers, it's the best ''clone'' I've played.

https://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/id72...&affId=2049622

It's a premium game with no IAP, and it's a slightly different TD than you are used to.

Love both of them.
Still a shame that, at least Frontiers, doesn't have cloud saves.
They are good to play on the iPhone, but when at home I'd love to be able to switch to the iPad.

Those might be my favorite ios games! I just beat frontiers a little while ago, I loved that just as much as the first personally. Feels very designed for touch too, controls were super responsive and easy to learn.

Bought kingdom rush because I loved the Kongregate version. I will not purchase Frontiers because:

1. No universal app, I don't like paying double for the same app (putting HD on the end of an apps title for a tablet is complete bullshit)

2. Microtransactions. Didn't like how they nickel and dimed you in KR, and they do the same thing in KRF.

I'm sure there will be microtransactions for the PC version as well, whenever it gets out of beta.

You don't need any microtransactions to beat every level. Even the bonus levels are free...

Currently playing KR right now and boy is it hard to stop playing. It's definitely one of the more addictive games on my tablet, and perhaps iOS in general.
