I guess it depends how the people on the panel vote but some would rather recognize the other games that fall in the same category as the goty so that they get at least some awards, instead of the goty winning everything. I guess the thinking there is that they are already going to win the game of the year they don't need best Action game too. And in this case, I think GTA was a better action game than the Last of Us but not a better game overall. Also for the platform winners people tend to vote for the best exclusives.

For sure not online only. I think it would be cool when wandering the wasteland to randomly find other people. Not overly populated but a occasional occurrence where you can trade, help each other out on quests, and if you decide to be in a PVP selection, kill others but risk being labeled an outlaw that also affects the way NPCs interact with you. No MMO, I don't want to run into tons of others players, up to 5 an hour sounds good.
