Wow. That was the worse possible place to collide with the wall. Ouch.
The full speed towards the end really puts it into perspective.

That's a nope.
Damn, the slow motion makes this look 10 times worse. They're lucky to be alive.
Could have been worse.

Reason: Death is worse
Is it supposed to be funny, because I found the track selection hilarious?
I thought this was gonna be about diving into water. I'll never forget that dude that split his face in half and lived. Crazy stuff.
Of all the places to hit....
Oooooooof. That sucks. One of the many reasons I don't jump off of really high places and let the wind carry me around.
fuck. seeing his head fall into his crotch when he hit the ground is probably what caused the spinal damage?
wow, at least he's alive
Damn, the normal speed is worse than the slow-mo. Also, dat ironic music.
Ooooooh, cringed so hard at that first wall slam. Of all the places to hit first, it had to be a rock that wanted to split him in half. Ow.
Could you please shut up about the child I kidnapped?

Bet he wins America's Funnies Home Videos though. So there's that.
my buddy was cliff diving in 2008 a year after high school graduation and hit the water at a weird angle and he died on site.
autopsy revealed the impact of the water turned his organs into pretty much mush.

wow..crazy! hands and feet are sweating from watching that.
Wow, that first hit looks like it knocked him out cold. Jeez man.
that's base jumping, not cliff diving...
That's a bingo. Dude collided with that huge jutting flake right off the bat. I don't know much about base jumping, but did he start properly? Seems like he didn't get enough clearance, that he was boned before the chute even opened, would that be a fair assessment?that's base jumping, not cliff diving...
Edit: thank the mods for the title change.
what a dumbass
reference to Jeb Corliss I thinkIs it supposed to be funny, because I found the track selection hilarious?

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Hope he fully recovers.

Seems very lucky the chute stayed open rather than tearing or collapsing. Let's say his parachute caught on that spur instead. How do you even rescue somebody dangling like that so close to the cliff face?
Scary shit. Could have been so much worse
Lucky escape for him. That's really crazy. PEACE.
holy crap
Good thing he had a parachute!
Vending machine rules. You keep throwing cliff divers at him until he comes down.Originally Posted by Palmer_v1

It seems the rocks slowed him down a bit, despite how hurt he was getting, imagine if he the parachute didnt stay open or if he just plopped straight down.
Looked like he owed that wall money.
Wow that first smack into the rocks. Honestly thought that Enya's "Who Can Say" was going to be the music to the vid
Seeking those thrills.
Watching and seeing the sharp rock sticking out, I thought nah he won't hit that. Sure enough he glided right into it. Damn, of all the places to hit. But at least he will get to jump again.

I recently went to my friends house to check out his wii. I was generally impressed. It was larger than I expected though.

He probably cannot wait to base jump again. These guys are freaks.
And this is exactly why I never do anything dangerous like base jumping.

See, it's not really the risk of death that frightens me when it comes to acts like these...it's the risk of horribly disfiguring, maiming, or paralyzing yourself and living a life with terrible chronic pain that scares me more. There are cases where I'd rather die than survive.
