Saw a show where the kids were eating kid cuisine, so I asked my mom to buy some. To this day, I can channel the memory of my first bite into either pure disappointment or pure rage.

I am weak at least twice a week I get a craving for something I see in a commercial. I'm the perfect mark for food advertising. Happened earlier this week right here on GAF I didn't even need to see a domino's pizza and I wanted and got one for half off because of a thread.

I've never had, like, a store bought or professionally made one before. I did follow a recipe I found online though (I think it was on food.com) and it tasted fucking awful.

Also, hard boiled eggs thanks to Cowboy Bebop episode 24 "Hard Luck Woman". Now whenever I eat them they make me all wistful.

What is that? Looks like some cream of chicken hotpot with veggies.

To answer the thread topic, I searched and made kinpira after seeing it in Persona 4 Golden.

They are mediocre at best. Incidentally when the movie came out on DVD I traveled to Chicago on business and made it a priority to eat at a White Castle.

I as super drunk and it was still mediocre. I had it sober before I left and was not impressed.

I didn't eat much Italian food growing up, but rewatching The Sopranos a couple years ago put me on a binge where I was trying a lot of the pasta dishes they eat on the show. It was awesome.

You're doing it wrong.

If you guys are in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley, in SoCal) there is a nice hole in the wall place that makes pretty good place where you can get takoyaki. It's called Bento-Ya. I believe it is in Arcadia...or Rosemead. I forget.

I had a chocolate cornet thanks to lucky star.

I didn't actively seek it out though, a few japanese bakeries started to pop up around here and I saw it, if I hadn't seen the show I wouldn't have given it a try.

Anyway, I always found that strange considering that it was set in New York. I thought they had a lot of Arab immigrants and subsequently, Arab food in NYC. It would be like someone never having heard of hummus.

When I was little, we sang this christmas song at church that mentioned goat cheese in it. I wanted to try it, so my dad brought me some. It was absolutely awful.

Also, the 60s batman had this part where they were drinking buttermilk (it fit into the plot of the episode). Once again, I was dumb and little and wanted to try it. Once again, my dad got me some. Once again, it was awful.

When I was a kid I had the image sushi was the type of food fancy/posh people ate, you know, the parisian dream type. I avoided it for ages. It couldn't be further from the truth nowadays haha.

You really should give name of the food, because this looks delicious but I have zero clue what it is.
