I sure as hell hope this isn't a ranked list, and just 10 games in a random order.
Because Jesus Fucking Christ.
As a sixth grade computer teacher, I tell my students if a list has no order of preference or importance, you use bullets, not numbers.......I see my students aren't writing for Time......
I'm out
Meh, the only one I really disagreed with being on that list is SkyScammers, but I think it is more so the order of the list. Pokemon X and Y are fantastic, but they don't do anything really groundbreaking or new. I say that as a massive fan of them, but they definitely deserve to be on the list though.Really? The only one I would disagree with is Skylanders but I haven't played it so I can't really comment on it.
The order of the list seems a bit random as well.

With that said... awful list. Where in the world is ALBW or Super Mario 3D? I'm pleasantly surprised at the amount of Nintendo games, but they picked the wrong ones here.
And Skylanders - I understand the appeal, but it's more of a long-running gadget gimmick than a game.
I fail to see anything unpopular about that opinion. AC 4 was decent, but there are much better games this year. And if you're talking about Animal Crossing, what other 20 games would you rank ahead of it?Unpopular opinion: AC is boring and doesn't deserve to be in the top 20.
10. Skylanders: SwapForce
9. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
8. Bioshock: Infinte
7. Pikmin 3
6. The Last of Us
5. Animal Crossing: New Leaf
4. Gone Home
3. Pokemon X & Y
2. Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag
1. GTA V
Seems random, although numbered. Remember guy's this is mostly for casuals.
Not really understanding all the negativity about it. Take into account that this is Time. A mainstream, non-gaming related news source. They're going to go with the big high profile games. And GTA 5 was the biggest game in the non-gaming news media this year.
I'm actually surprised that Gone Home made that high on a list like this. Pleasantly surprised though.
Listen to their description of Gone Home.Originally Posted by BinaryPork2737

Does this sound like the description of Gone Home by somebody who played the "game?"Originally Posted by Time

The game’s empty, ever-groaning manor provides the suspense, which you relieve by moving from room to room, turning on the lights, examining every corner for clues and gradually becoming familiar with your new home. You might even call it therapeutic.
These are all probably good games, even if you don't like all of them in this exact order. These lists are the worst, though. It's just a reason to argue.
Also, what's up with Skylanders hate? You guys realize that game is awesome, right?
