Gone Home? Really?

This game got tons of praise but the story isn't as good as some say it is.

Blood Dragon was pretty decent, but make sure to pick up Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, too.

Nothing exceptional about Gone Home. It relies on unfounded horror atmosphere and reuses item searching from 90s ,early 2000s REs and SHs.

All this in addition to cringeworthy teen diary story.

Tearaway was wonderful. It sucks that so many people don't own Vitas. One of the best games I've played this new generation, no joke.

Not a bad list. I'd give GTA V #1 simply for its incredible quality, detail and scale with unmatched ambition and a world thats stunningly detailed for current gen consoles. I prefer RPG's so its not necessarily my favorite, but I think on technical merit its a clear #1.

Its somewhat unfair since the development budget is rumored to be the highest of all time for ANY videogame, so many times the cost of say TLOS so its not a level playing field for developers, but as a consumer it is (same $60 price for most of these games)

And swap force is awesome if you play on hard not normal. Fantastic game and it runs good on any console but is even better on PS4 (and xbone I imagine). Can get crazy expensive if you arent selective and/or take advantage of deals.

#1 & #3 are deserving of Top 3, so it's not all bad.

Imagine the gameplay breakthroughs of Assassin’s Creed III in a bigger sandbox, playing as a buccaneer scraping by during the early 18th century so-called Golden Age of Piracy and all of that rendered in exquisite detail.

They literally did not even try with that sentence. It reads like things I write when I'm using my phone's notepad while on the toilet.

Animal Crossing and Gone Home surprised me but the list isn't really in order and could use some other games. Like the recent Super Mario 3D World.

Well obviously, but they want those clicks. If they had any sense, they'd hold it off until a couple of months into next year, to properly evaluate the really late '13 releases.

Gunslinger is probably my GOTY, that game was pure fun. That or Gunpoint...which is also missing from this list sadly.

With Tearaway, Mario, and Zelda all absent, I have to assume this was put together beforehand. I'm sure at the absolute minimum one of them would have made it.

Even so, pretty shitty they would omit all of them. Now Time just looks to lazy to bother writing a couple more paragraphs.

Can't say I disagree with their Number 1.

Get the fuck out of here, Asscreed doesn't deserve to be on that list let alone a second spot. GTAV does not deserve the top spot either.

Seems random, although numbered. Remember guy's this is mostly for casuals.

This seems like a pretty good list to me, though apparently if you don't have the exact games in the exact places that some people in this thread want, then it's a terrible list.

Pikmin 3 is the only game I would have on that list. But I guess I can't say really as the only other two I played on that list were BI and TLOU, both which were very disappointing to me.

How is ACIV number 2?

I'm not sure I'd put it on top 10 but better than TLOU and possibly 3D World if it was taking into account is silly

I haven't played half of those. Nice to see Skylanders on a top 10 list, though.

Get used to GTA V being #1. it had the highest budget of any video game released in 2013 and it shows. Its rumored to be what $250-270 million something like that.

Imagine your favorite game with that budget...
