I haven't seen this topic in a while.
Post screenshots of the ugliest or worst performing games you can think of from this period of gaming. I left off PC games because there's such a wide variation of reasons why certain PC games look better than others, and there would be too many one-guy indie games popping up. Same with Android/mobile, too much variation.
You can name PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PSP, 3DS, Vita. You can even name Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One if you're so inclined.
So what constitutes ugly?
Well, low resolution textures, no anisotropic filtering, no anti-aliasing, terrible art design, low polygon characters and backgrounds, and probably some other things I'm forgetting.
Obviously low framerate would make for a low performing game. There are also visual imperfections that sting the eyeballs, such as environments popping up a few feet away from the player character, though this could go under either heading.
Let's have some good examples of bad graphics.
People are playing that on their uber expensive tablets and phones.
Edit: Didn't realize the thread was just for consoles. Not like it looks great there either.

The general flow of battle is generally better than this may suggest, but it's rare to see either platform hold a stable 30FPS - and the 360 usually takes the higher ground.
Forced Unleashed Wii version.
Must have played at a constant 20fps, crashed often and even managed to dip below 20 frequently.
I still completed and enjoyed it though. I actually liked the game underneath all the crap that much.
Also my xbox would heat my room when I played it.
Nothing comes close.
Oops, just saw the no shovelware warning. So nevermind the Zoo published titles.

It's like Xenoblade's incredibly unattractive cousin!

As we were slowly making our way out of an elevator and into a confined room frequented by just two enemy personnel, frame-rates took a dive down to a sustained 14FPS on the PS3 and 16FPS on the 360 before exiting the immediate area, in which case we were still looking at sub-30FPS performance on both consoles.
Goddamn, that's straight PS1 level graphics right there. Maybe the textures are filtered slightly better, but otherwise that wouldn't look far out of place on PS1.Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga for the Wii was also dealt a critical hit with the ugly-stick.

Nah, you're mis-remembering PSX polycounts and texture sizes. This looks like an average to ugly game from the early Dreamcast/PS2 era.Goddamn, that's straight PS1 level graphics right there. Maybe the textures are filtered slightly better, but otherwise that wouldn't look far out of place on PS1.

The drab color palette isn't doing it any favors, though. Apparently it's so bad that you need to adjust your display's brightness to make out anything at all.

Bad ports made worse by the fact that it needs to be played on a DSi to improve performance (and they still run worse than the original games), yet SEGA refused to warn anyone about that.
Basically any CoD game sine MW1. Pokemon X and Y. I don't know why I am saying this, as the game wasn't super ugly, but it did perform and look as if it could have been done on the DS. I expected much better technically from a 3DS game, but at least the game is the best Pokemon game since gen 3, and got me back into the series.
South Park Tenorman's Revenge on XBLA. Do not buy it, it is a piece of shit. Has worse platforming than Mario did 25 years ago. Unacceptable and completely disgusting abuse of the South Park name....again. Oh, and Killzone HD. Still the same crap game from 2004, they didn't even fix it (at least it has trophies now). Broken, messy game and a laughable effort. At least the story was a redeeming factor which made it an alright game, and at least the Killzone games since have been amazing.
Oh yes, I agree with King Kong on DS. Worse controls than the damn Kinect. Filthy game.
No. they're not.Not exactly ugly, more like AAA ugly.
This is Resistance: Fall of man. Late 2006 game on PS3. Those textures and models are something from PS2 era.
Sure it's far from being the prettiest game, but I remember being impressed(compared to PS2) with the enemy models etc. when I first played it.
Yeah, I was reaching a bit, but for something that came out on a console released in the last decade, that's shockingly bad. That King Kong DS game is still winning overall though.Nah, you're mis-remembering PSX polycounts and texture sizes. This looks like an average to ugly game from the early Dreamcast/PS2 era.

Shaun White Skateboarding on the wii was also pretty bad. Low poly models and environments, the textures and lighting could get really drab looking, and even for a wii game the jaggies looked pretty bad. I guess this one stood out to me more since its predecessor Shaun White Snowboarding was actually quite a looker. Id post a screenshot but its hard to find one thats not a ubi bullshot

Literally visual diarrhea
Dragons Dogma was pretty bad too. Framerate would drop into the single digits if there were a lot of enemies on screen (btw this happens a lot in Dragon's Dogma ).
I don't think you can call it shovel ware, because whoever made it was obviously trying to appeal to the hardcore, but time and ineptitude definitely took a toll.
