Homefront 2 test footage appears to have been posted online last August, but it has only just been brought to our attention. The video shows a user driving a remote-controlled car device around an unfinished environment, then cycling through some Crytek-branded menus.

Send to Pyongyang if old.

Why does this exist?

Didn't the first one sell poorly?

It sold over a million. THQ had some silly expectations.

Poorly enough for Crytek to grab it at a bargain price. I'm interested to see how it comes together.

It sold decently, not a big hit. But crytek acquired the ip so they must want to use it and build on it.

Anyways, nothing too interesting in this footage. I wonder what it looks like now.

Well since Crytek already have a good stock of virtual Koreans, this is likely a solid procurement for them.

People at VG24/7 are clearly not reading enough GAF like all the other news outlets.

As I said the last time, I was offered an early build but passed on it due to it being a bit of a mess, as you can see.

It sold a million, but the original studio was shut down. THQ contracted Crytek to make a sequel. When THQ shut down, Crytek bought the ip, presumably so that the work they did on Homefront 2 wouldn't be lost.

But they have to report things just in case they're true.
