Theres definitely a few games i want on that list...not many though.
PSP needs more games like Field commander and less games like Syphon filter, by which i mean it needs more true handheld games, high on strategy low on action. Trying to play all the twitch gameplay games like pursuit force and PES on the go is a bloody nightmare. |

These games look very strong, but as is the problem with PSP, they are (with a few exceptions) more or less the same type of game we've see for the past few years from the PS2 (and not AAA PS2 titles at that imo).
But you know I guess its those kind of games, in their numbers, which get a system into people's hands. I am interested in the RPGs mainly because they're about the story and can be enjoyed and re-lived as stories usually are. Also being from the UK I got shafted on games like Valkyrie Profile. Personally I want Initial D Street Stage and DJ Max more than any game in this thread, bar perhaps Valkyrie Profile. Anyone happen to have info on Initial D? Like what the Limited Edition pack will include? |

There is GTA:LC and some great racing games on PSP, but most other games turned out to be mostly in the 70-85% ratings, if at all. Last edited by quetz67 : 01-04-2006 at 02:28 PM. |

My biggest gripe is there isn't any AAA flagship ORIGNAL titles for the PSP(not sequels, or remakes). Sure there are original titles (mainly niche or so-so titles), but nothing that is selling systems or a number 1 reason for people to go out and buy the PSP. Once the PSP gains this all the concerns and most of the grumblings about the system will diminsh.

Based on Andy's lists so far (I get the feeling something might be missing from both... or maybe I just wish there were even *more* fun to be had on both machines)
DS - Likely to buy: New Super Mario Bros Metroid Prime Hunters Rub Rabbits Super Monkey Ball: Touch & Roll Final Fantasy III Brain Training Worms DS - Maybe buy: Children of Mana Tales of Tempest Resident Evil: Deadly Silence PSP - Likely to buy: Loco Roco Every Extend Extra Me and My Katamari Splinter Cell: Essentials Lemmings PSP - Maybe buy: Exit Practical Intelligence Quotient Tales of Eternia FFVII: Crisis Core As this is the PSP version of the thread I'd qualify all of this by saying that there's a certain kind of game I want on a handheld. Loco Roco, Katamari or Super Monkey Ball embody handheld perfection for me! I'm interested in Every Extend because of the "Q?" connection, Splinter Cell looks too cool, and though I would have loved Lemmings on the NDS, its gonna be great on PSP instead. Exit looks alright, but I have a feeling it'll wear on my patience a bit like Abe's Odysee did. Practical Intelligence reminds me a bit of Intelligent Qube on the PlayStation, which I loved. It looks like it may actually be tougher... I'm watching it closely from here on in. Tales of Eternia just depends on what I hear about the game. I enjoyed parts of other recent Tales games, but not others. FFVII: Crisis Core is a wildcard for me. I've gone off the main RPG series in a big way (I don't have the patience)... but this might promise to be different. |

"Extreme" Ghouls and Ghosts ? Good god, Capcom...
But overall, a pretty cool list. There's quite a few games that I want in there. Alas, they'll have to wait for a year or two. PSP is still too expensive at the moment. :( |

My God. This is going to be "the handheld year" or something?
There's enough "looks to be great" games in this thread to justify buying a PSP... (but damn i still have a PS2, GC and DS to buy games for and there's also coming, expecially DS...) |
