You're right, after I posted I thought about it again and was pretty sure I was wrong. The faceplate looks alright although I wish there were more out right now. Has the big N annouced any plan to sell any faceplates? I saw some 3rd party ones at Gamestop the other day but man were they ugly.

They (Nintendo) actually used to sell all 6 official faceplates via their online store. I ordered and received the 3 that didn't come with my hardware. Now, I hear, they only sell silver and black.
