Tekken: Dark Resurrection PSP screens (direct feed screens)
#1
These came from the Famitsu thread, but I thought it was big enough to deserve its own thread since some might not click on that thread. Credit goes to duckroll for the pics

@Anyanka: Why put it on PS2 now when its at the end of it's life (and likely by the time it would have come out it would have possibly been after PS3 arrived)? It couldn't very well go on the PS3, as it wouldn't be out for a while then (and they already have another Tekken for that, it seems).
PSP was the natural choice for when it's supposed to come out, and there is a lack of 3d fighters on PSP at the moment, so its got an open field to play in. |

I knew something was up Namco's PSP sleeve when they went on public record talking about expect futute Namco PSP titles to look a whole lot better than Ridge Racers, which to date is still one of the most impressive PSP titles, graphically.

Well there's Mortal Kombat Deception: Unchained..... Ok yeah, no competition. They could release it on PS2 as a GH or something. I just want it at home and I don't want to play on a tiny screen with crappy controls. Portable fighters are weak. I guess it's a cool novelty and better than nothing but I want the real thing. |

You're clever. :) |

Why can't they release it for PS2 and PSP? Why can't they put DR on PS2 and some special tag game or Devil Within crap on PSP? It's going to be obnoxious playing DR at the arcade then regular 5 on PS2. It was already annoying how 5.1 was arcade only.
I don't want TTT2 on PS3 or anything like that. I don't doubt they'll be another Tekken on PS3. What I want is the same game on console and arcade. |

But yeah, looking at the current gaming industry, who knows..... |

Wow, that looks incredible. The scans are pretty blury but you can tell that it's going to look great.
This is a very smart move by Namco. To say that Tekken 5 PS2 didn't meet sales expectations is an understatement. Tekken 5 is the lowest selling Tekken since Tekken 1. Why risk putting this out on the PS2 just to have it sell worse even at a budget $20 price? Can't wait for this. |

Holy Shit! I want to see some better scans or official screens but Tekken PSP looks amazing. I would have been satisfied with an enhanced port of Tekken 3 or Tekken Tag but Namco went all out with DR and not a port of Tekken 5. I can now play my favorite 3D fighter series anytime now on a portable
![]() To those who are asking for online, forget it. No Japanese developer has made an online PSP title yet and I don't see that changing until probably the end of this year. |
