I got one today.. and yeah we weren't supposed to get it. The thing is: Konami shipped 300 :lol copies to EB Canada's warehouse. Only about 175 were for pre-orders still in the system as of late yesterday, the rest was divided and shipped to stores all accross Canada. So, EBs who'll get it will only get one. Start calling right now!

This is why I order shit like this from ebgames.com. I pre-ordered the LE from them and got it shipped to Canada no prob.

Looks like some employees didn't do their job well. There were about 175 pre-orders still in the system on this SKU.

Huh? This game is rare? I saw a whole bunch of copies when I was at EB yesterday? This is in Montreal too.

Edit: Oh nevermind, limited edition subsistence, not regular subsistence (didn't know there were 2 versions)

Oh hells yeah!

Just came back from EB with the last of 3 LE's they received. Had to call them to hold it for me while I quickly made my way over there.
Note: NOT at the EB I preordered at, they didn't get any at all.

Thanks Oneself for making me aware of the possibility of EB receiving them today.

BTW: Kelsey at Metrotown EB, Burnaby, Canada is damn cute.

Believe me, if I had gotten screwed out of my LE, I'd be raising a shitstorm too.
In a way, I did get screwed by having to call around and go to a different EB to luckily score an LE.
If the original EB doesn't give me back my $5 without returning Saga, I'll be fucking pissed off.

Ah damn, I just came back from local EB, no luck, they didn't have it. If any of you Canadian GAFers can buy an extra copy of this + Saga disc, and you feel like helping out a fellow MGS fan, I'd be happy to pay some extra for your effort, but not as much as this is going on ebay right now (I would give you $20 or so on top of retail+shipping price).

I really hope that the rumors of a second shipment next week are true. It's one thing for a game to sit on shelves for a year before gradually vanishing (like Valkyrie Profile), but quite another when it hits $100 the moment it lands in stores. I'd like to see everyone at least get a shot at this game.

No, I called the warehouse to be sure and obviously; store that got one in Québec were for pre-orders only (no french packaging). Don't worry, I would have told you.

But but, i DID pre-order :(
I cancelled it when i bought the other version this week and the sku for Limited was "discontinued" in the system. DAMN IT.

Yeah, nobody knew it was coming, they got 300 after the normal edition was out... so lots of people already cancelled their pre-orders and bought the other version . And I know that some place got only one copy for 2 pre-orders as well... so they're full of shit actually.

Gamestop told me that the second shipment next week was only to fulfill the remaining preorders from gamestop.com that weren't fulfilled.

I got my copy, but I hope you're right, it's fucked up to see this going for over a hundred bucks day 1.
