New Tales of the Tempest Video #1

Not sure how long it'll stay up. But it confirms there's animation for the opening song video at least.

"Coming soon?" No date?

Please don't let that mean what I think it does.

It has a date in June I think. "Coming soon" just means "Not coming this month".

They're trying to trick me again! >:O
I know none of the stuff in that intro is from in-game cutscenes. I won't be fooled.

I'm still bitter I never got to see the hand-drawn sword fights from ToS's intro. There was only like 4 minutes of anime in the whole game. When I got to Teth'alla I was like, "this world must be the 'world of high-quality anime cutscenes' described on the box, cuz it wasn't Sylvarant."
grrrr

ohyeah frothing demand bacon hotdogs blah blah blah etc.

Namco RPGs are teh love... <3
...and knowing that it is comming for Nintendo DS makes it even better.

How many of Namco "Tales" have been released anyway?
Tales of Fantasia, Tales of Destiny, Tales of Eternia, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Legendia,... am I missing any?

You've got all of the US released entries listed there (it's "Phantasia," by the way), but if you want an overall list, click here.

OMG! Who was the POTTY MOUTH in this thread?!?!?!?!

http://namco-ch.net/policy/info/20060405.php

It's TRUE! Tales of the Tempest is now delayed indefinitely to "some time in 2006". WTF!

I would translate the text but I'm having too much fun in the Nadesico arc of ACE2 atm. Sorry!

Only Tales can get away with character designs this ugly while still being on my most wanted list. It even looks like there's some kind of cutesy familiar with the main female character, which is... probably going to be sickening.

I'll hold out hope that this means either 1) they're adding another character (to hopefully bring the total number of character designs that I like in this game up to two), 2) they're starting to work on the translation for a US release, or 3) both.

2nd week of December...again? xd

It seems they were not planning this title to be so big...like they needed more time to add more characters, to upgrade graphics, to make anime scenes...hell, it was going to be released next week.

Anyway, looking forward it:)

I'm wondering something...could a DS game be in 2 cards?

Has there ever been a 2 cart game?

Sonic 3 plugged into the Sonic& Knuckles cart which plugged into the Genesis doesn't count. :P

I use to play game genie all the time. Just kinda randomly entering in numbers to see how itd make my games spaz out. Does that count?

I guess you could count Golden Sun 1/2 as a two cart game since you could enter a long ass password to transfer (nearly) all your data from GS1 to 2...

But really, I think TotT will be a one cart game. Most likely 1 Gig.

My eye twitched when I read your post. I hated having to put in that long ass password. One little mistake and you had to do it all over again.

theoretically you should be able to put your DS in sleep mode and have the necessary game data temporarily stored in the system RAM while you switch cards.

Dunno if the design of the hardware allows you to do that, but it should be possible.

Heh Theortically... Anybody take a card out while the game is in sleep mode? Curious what would happen (not enough to try it on my DS though.) But maybe in E3 Nintendo will announce new 8gb ds cards. I think a GigaByte would be enough for a full tales game. Not that it'll happen though.

Putting the DS in sleep mode and then taking out the game card is actually another method of simply turning the DS off. Yes, I tried it before. :P

I guess so, but it'd probably be quite a bit cheaper to just go for a single larger sized card.
