Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty are "low"

As wrong as Famitsu download tracking may be, we can't make any definitive assessment because we only get very little information.

A download game may have sold 190,000 units between jan and nov 2014 without ever appearing in the charts.

The numbers you quoted is not total software, it is only the fiscal year. PS4 total tie-ratio is 2.4 according to Dengeki. Xbox One is 2.6.

In any case, it shouldn't be a surprise, Xbox 360 had a better tie ratio than the PS3 until 2014. =P

Yeah but this is Japan, so FY = LTD since it released this year.
Unless I'm missing something.

edit: or do you mean, from April to December? But in that case why was the 2013 figure 0? It should include Feb-Mar numbers then.

I am pleased to say that I contributed +1 to those New 3DS sales and those Yokai Watch Shinuchi sales on Monday.

Being in Japan over the last week or so, I've realised just how popular Yokai Watch is. It's insane that I'm seeing it almost as much as Pokemon, if not more. Merchandise sections in every 7/11, every souvenir store, every toy store, ads all over TV and the Metro.

Hell I was walking past a Mochi shop and one of the staff was wearing a funny Jibanyan hat and the kids were loving it. From my experience, it seems to be as popular as Pokemon at the moment, or at least close. I just wonder how long it will take Level 5 to fuck this one up like they did LBX and Inazuma Eleven.

Congrats on PS4 for passing 1 million too! Pretty decent and I imagine there should be a decent upswing this year with releases like Bloodborne, Type 0 and DQ Musou.

Guys, for all of you "celebrating" PS4 over 1,000,000 in Japan (at least for Famitsu), you know it's still behind PS3 at the same time after release, right?

Also, don't know why people is surprised by Vita sales: Week 1 is usually more favourable to Sony hardware.

Yeah, I think 3DS sales will be remarkably low this year, maybe a similar percentage drop as last year.

1 million is the first "real" milestone for any system i'd say. Someone also said that the PS4 would wouldnt reach 1 million within 2014 (or holiday season, but i guess its hard to know exactly how much of week 1 sales that were done in 2014), so maybe some of the comments in this thread are related to that.

Wtf One of the trackers is messing up terribly and I'm going to go with Famitsu.

It makes you wonder how flawed the data is from NPD when there is only one tracker.

So

MC had Vita at 43k last week, but now it says it sold 57, being stable this week with 58. Is this a mistake, or could they have revised last week's numbers? Famitsu has Vita at 55k from 40k.

MC has the Wii U at 30, with last week at 43, while Famitsu has it at 43k, with last week's number at 48k. On the opposite, MC has PS4 at 42k from 33k, while Famitus has it at 35k from 30k

These discrepancies are curious. I'd say that we can extrapolate in any case that PS4 and Vita were able to increase in a good way, while Nintendo consoles dropped, even if not significantly (mixing the data), as usual for the first week of the year. The element I'm more curious about is MC last week Vita's number.
