Hi Gaf...I've been playing my pokemon red on pokemon stadium 2 and I sold my copy of silver when I was younger, so I bought 1 on Amazon and it arrived today.

So I plug in to the transfer pack...boot up ps 2 and it keeps saying "save error. Leaving your n64 turned on, detach the gb game pak, then re-attach it."

I do that and nothing. I play it on my gameboy for 20 min, save it a few times and play on the gameboy again, save is still there, works great

So I put in the gameboy pak, turn on ps 2. And the same thing happens, same message comes up

I've used both of my paks and neither works

Any suggestions?

The gen 2 Pokemon games have problems with saves so you probably bought a corrupted game, sorry bro

I am using it with pokemon stadium 2

It sounds like your save is fine, and it's the transfer pack that's the problem. Detach and re-attach the transfer pack, the game in the transfer pack and the stadium game too just to be safe. Blow in 'em all while you're at it. Those transfer packs are a bit more temperamental than you'd think.
