Well looks like I'm leaving at 330 tomorrow instead of 4. The 40min drive to Troy will do me under though.
I can't leave till 4 and I have to drive from A2. -_-

Ride bike, man. Who drives around DC? 😕I wish I could show four hours early. But work schedule plus DC traffic makes that impossible. Hopefully two-ish does the trick!
Enjoy your hell on i96I can't leave till 4 and I have to drive from A2. -_-
There's no way I would stand in line for more than an hour for a movie. Crazy talk. Even an hour is pushing it. If a new Superman movie was coming out and that sumbitch was getting 10/10 reviews across the board from everybody and their sweet ol' mama I still wouldn't wait over an hour in line to see it.

For the record I don't think this movie will beat Ultron, but if any non-Avengers movie would it's Civil War
Hoping the positive WOM pushes it through
icespide I just called the Cinemark, the guy recommended 3-4 hours early since the theater it'll be screening in only has 295 seats.
I might try to get there 5 hours early now, fuck
BronsonLee, I'm telling all my Philly friends to go get in line now just to spite you

What's this strange concept of "lines" for movies? I just book tickets and pick my seats weeks in advance if I give a shit.

The thought of assigned seatings for movies is bonkers to me. It's been general admission my entire life for every theater I've ever been to.
I got in line for the Force Awakens 7 PM opening night first showing at 5 AM.

What's up with buying tickets in advance? Is there only one theater in your area? I've never had a problem getting whatever seat I wanted on the day of release, especially for big movies since theaters will usually clear out all their screens of other movies. What's this strange concept of "lines" for movies? I just recently found an AMC near me that does reserved seating. Tried it out for BvS. Every seat was a recliner. Every seat. And those seats went all the way back. You could lay down and watch the movie. Some kids had blankets and pillows. Never again will I go to my normal theater. Bought CW tickets for that same theater the second they went on sale.

Would two hours early be an optimal time to show up at the theater?
Everyone should find their own theater that has assigned seating. Even if it's 20 minutes away, it is incredibly worth it.If you don't go to a Movie Tavern or Alamo Drafthouse to watch movies you fucking up
Lol Americans.
Sometimes, america feels backwards as fuck.Lol Americans.

I've never lived in a small town and it would make more sense that I would be used to packed theaters if I had. I don't care either way, I just don't get the point. I've never had to wait any length of time for good seats since, as I said, most theaters will clear out other screens for big movies.Do you live in a small town or something? Populated areas sell out showings for popular movies no problem. So unless you want to wait in line for over 1 hour, buying tickets in advance is the way to go.
Also, what's the downside? It baffles me that you wonder why someone would want to buy a ticket in advance really.
I'm guilty of going to a closer theater too because their rewards program is free. AMC tax isn't worth the convience though.I'm a hypocrite, I go to the AMC five minutes away since no cool theaters are near me
Also shut up duck ya damn fowl
I recently started going to a theater that lets you book seats in advance, and the chairs are full on recliners, where you can literally lean it far enough back to where you are laying down watching the movies, and there is only one row on each level with a half wall dividing you from the rows above and below you.
Its a mind blowing game changer.
sameAmerican here, my screening for CW has reserved seating...

True, I at least want the notes. And I'm gonna go on a studying blitz this weekend, regardless.Don't jeopardize your education for a movie.

Are you me?
Yeah, ever since I moved to Columbus and found the theaters that have reserved seating with leather recliners and serve food/alcohol during the movie, I can't go back to a regular theater.
