Pulp Fiction
Snatch
I could watch either of these any day, any time, and have a great time quoting 90% either as they play

Harry Potter
These aren’t my favourite films ever, but they’re easy watching and I’ve seen them all plenty of times

TV
Avatar: The Last Airbender
The only show I can safely say I’ve seen from start to finish more than once

Scrubs
Parks & Rec
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Rick and Morty
Shows I’ve rewatched part way because they’re great, but I’ve forgotten to pick up where I left off when I stopped

It's mostly junk films, but some gems in there. Honestly, stupid movies are sometimes the most rewatchable for me, because they contain enough action that I can just turn my brain off and enjoy the spectacle.

Dumb fun:
Den of Thieves - I can watch Merrimen unload that SAW all day.
Man of Steel - The Smallville fight is pure mayhem.
Pacific Rim - The battle in Tokya is immense.
Kong Skull Island - The first time they encounter Kong is just insane.

Gems:
Snatch - Endless shenanigans in this film.
Pulp Fiction - Zed's dead.
Big Lebowski - STFU Donny!
Lucky Number Slevin - Like the other gems, the dialogue is just amazing.

If I don't want to think, give me lots of shit exploding or getting shot the fuck up. If I have to think, I want witty banter.
Haha, yees, it’s the bad movies that are the most fun to watch over and over again! :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The lack of Bond, James Bond in this thread is disturbing

I often have a TV series running in the background while I work. I've seen them so many times I practically have them memorized, so I can concentrate on something else and still know what's going on.

  • Mad Men
  • Sopranos
  • Seinfeld

Coffee Prince ❤️ It's a cheesy K-drama but for some reason I always go back watching it. Don't think it would be considered good from an objective viewpoint but it never fails to make me happy

For T.V. I never get tired of: Sanford & Son, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, M.A.S.H., X-Files, Beavis & Butthead, King of this Hill, anything Tex Avery, Keenan & Kel, Star Trek: TNG, and the Three Stooges (except the Joe Besser episodes).

Movies: Twister, Alien, Aliens, Alien3, Terminator (1984), Lethal Weapon 1-3, most Stephen King film adaptations, Rocky 1-5, Rambo 1-3, Cobra (although I wish to see the uncut...), Bladerunner, Jurassic Park (the original), Stars Wars 1977, Dark Star, the Fog the Thing , and any John Carpenter movie pre-Scream.

I know Rocky 5 wasn't what an audience or Stallone wanted for the 5th installment. But it has it's moments that are enjoyable. Couldn't stand Tommy Gunn; so it was fun getting to see him bested.

I think Stallone was originally going to have Rocky die due to brain injuries at the end of Rocky 5. This was quickly written out before production.

Exacly, and i feel like the Rocky movies is one of few franchise's that's good all the way even though there's so many movies! Of cours some are better than others but i really love Rocky. 💓
Haha, and yes Tommy was so annoying, but I think he was needed! It was fun and satysfing to see him defeated! :messenger_bicep:

When I first was about to see the first one I didn't think i would like it, sense I usually don't like "action movies" or with a lot of fighting. But I was blown away, I got so invested in the movies and Rocky's life. Still big favorites!

To go through all the interesting production and preproduction events of the first Rocky would take another thread altogether. I feel the story was more about Stallone fighting to show he had a persona other than an extra (which he was often billed as prior to Rocky) and was able to meet the heavy punches of Hollywood production companies. The fact that he signed such a crazy deal to lose all just to play Rocky in a script he authored was a fight. Fight 2 was Chartoff-Winkler putting their home mortgages on their line just to lift the film.

Rocky 5 is something altogether different from everything else in the franchise. Weird soundtrack, losing everything, real-life injuries forcing early retirement similar to real athletes, and the background humor was great. Too bad this was like 1 of only 2 films Sage acted in with his Dad. Daylight (I think that was the name) was the other in 1996.

Yes, that needs it's own thread. So much to say. I feel the same, the first Rocky was something important to Stallone, it was personal.

Modern Family remains one of the funniest shows ever made. Surprised they got away with so much off-brand humour up until the end of their run in 2019.
