Spoilers are defined as anything not meant to be revealed before the release of the game in Japan. Therefore, if you discover new information not contained in any trailers released thus far, not mentioned in any developer interviews, or not on any of the game's official websites, then please use the spoiler tags to mask them. Therefore, it's okay to mention something like Jill's death because it's something we're supposed to know about given its heavy presence in previous trailers and on the Japanese webpage. If something is in question, spoiler tag it. People who spoil something may be banned.

Resident Evil 5 features the same core gameplay as Resident Evil 4, with a few updates and modifications. Based on the default controls, shooting is done by stopping, holding R and then aiming with the control stick. Shooting enemies in the head or other weakspots yield the most damage; in some situations, they can be stunned and then finished off with a physical hit. The environments can be used against enemies, such as exploding barrels. Enemies grab Chris and Sheva to weaken them, but can also hit them physically and in some cases instant KO them or decapitate them. Items can be grabbed by breaking boxes and barrels in the game environments.

The game features local or online co-op with Chris and Sheva. They need to work together, either by fighting the same enemies, distracting them or covering each other. There are some places only Chris or Sheva can access that are required to beat the game. They can make commands to each other; in single player, these are necessary to direct the flow of the game and the partner character.

Resident Evil 5 features multiple control schemes, including one similar to the Gears of War games and one lifted from the original control pad versions of Resident Evil 4. Below are images of the controls in the PS3 version; the 360 controls are largely equivalent based on placement.

wk0f2q.jpg

Chris Redfield - Chris' size and strength make him a natural, if a bit slow fighter. If he stuns an enemy, he can punch them back, going as far as to cause their heads to explode. He can also push bookshelves faster than Sheva. Viewpoint-wise, Chris follows the Resident Evil 4 viewpoint.

Sheva Alomar - Sheva's advantage is speed and flexibility; like Ada, she can do backflip kicks to kill stunned enemies. She can also be boosted by Chris to reach higher areas. She doesn't possess nearly as much stamina as Chris, but her speed and thin profile can get her out of messy situations. Viewpoint-wise, she is controlled opposite of Chris, constantly on the right side of the screen.

25gyxoz.jpg

Here are the weapons listed in the Japanese BSAA website so far. Chris and Sheva also have combat knives that can be used when not aiming a gun.

2wbyjyv.png

M92F - Standard Handgun that uses the most common ammo in the game; while relatively weak, it can stun enemies in the right locations and reloads relatively quickly.

nbzwc8.png

AK74 - A rapid fire weapon that mows down multiple enemies at once and is also appropriate for boss fights. Ammo is relatively uncommon, but not impossible to find.

2572jdj.png

Vz61 - Another rapid fire weapon, it doesn't do as much damage to enemies as others do on a per-bullet basis, but its rapid fire nature allows for it to be suitable against groups of Majini.

20jiyrt.png

Ithaca - A Shotgun, it continues the Resident Evil tradition of being the weapon of choice against instantly pushing groups of enemies back as well as decapitating them. While a little weak from a distance, it can be helpful against bosses.

91eafn.png

S75 - A powerful Sniper Rifle, it is used to take careful aim at distant enemies, and comes in handy in Shanty Town when Chris and Sheva need to split up. Unsuitable for rapidly advancing enemies, but a good backup in case other weapons run out of ammo.

Below are the major characters appearing in Resident Evil 5.

kbem39.jpg

A survivor of the Spencer Mansion incident, Chris joined the battle against Umbrella right away after the S.T.A.R.S. were betrayed by Wesker and nearly annihilated by the B.O.W. Chris returned to action by saving Claire from the Ashfords, and then reunited with Jill to destroy Umbrella once and for all in 2003. Now, he's come to Africa on a certain mission as part of the B.S.A.A., and teams up with Sheva Alomar this time.

maigzd.jpg

Jill, after working with Barry Burton and Chris Redfield, survived the Mansion Incident, only to end up trapped in Raccoon City in the middle of the outbreak. She barely escaped Raccoon City alive with Carlos Oliveira after defeating Umbrella's Nemesis Tyrant designed to destroy her and other S.T.A.R.S. members. She reunited with Chris after he saves his sister. A few years later in 2003, she joined Chris to raid Umbrella's Russian headquarters, and managed to defeat Sergei Vladimir's Talos Project. In 2006, she apparently died in the middle of a mission.

2nlre5e.jpg

Sheva Alomar is an agent of the West African Branch of B.S.A.A. She teams up with Chris as they investigate the bizarre circumstances surrounding Kijuiju. She is not only quick in terms of movement, but can handle arms competently. She joined the B.S.A.A. because of her past history.

301lm9w.jpg

Albert Wesker was the Captain of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team, but joined Umbrella way back in the 70s with William Birkin. He betrayed Umbrella and received a mysterious virus from Birkin, and used it to fake his death and reincarnate into a mysterious, yet still somewhat human virus carrier. He's worked with Ada Wong to acquire the G-Virus and Las Plagas for an unknown organization, and holds a grudge against Chris and the other surviving S.T.A.R.S. members, and successfully defeated the last major known Umbrella officer, Sergei Vladimir. Now, he's come to Africa with sinister plans of his own.

6oes8g.jpg

A mysterious, masked figure with a female build. Who is her true identity?

2aircyw.jpg

A mysterious woman working with Wesker. In the trailers, she's seen attempting to form a partnership with Wesker, and she evidently has ties to TriCell. Together, what are they conspiring to do, and does Wesker accept her offer of partnership?

2nv8bnm.jpg

Irving is Chris and Sheva's initial target as they begin their mission, being suspected of dealing with black market bioweapons.

70du6p.jpg

Ozwell E. Spencer was one of the three original founders of Umbrella, and owner of the Spencer Estate. He had James Marcus, one of his partners, assassinated, but maintained constant trust of Birkin and Wesker. It is apparent, though still unconfirmed, that Sergei Vladimir evacuated Spencer from Raccoon City moments before its explosion. Now, Spencer has finally emerged, even though Umbrella has already been destroyed...

2m4u4w8.jpg

A woman held captive, she frantically calls for help. Chris and Sheva attempt to help her, but is it already too late?

Below are brief descriptions of the characters who've played major roles in the Resident Evil series, but do not make appearances in Resident Evil 5.

24681lj.jpg

" A member of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team, Rebecca is an expert in the manufacture and preparation of pharmaceuticals and serves as the team's medic. She is highly talented and graduated college at the young age of 18. Although she looks delicate, she is a woman of action and calm in the face of danger.

She lacks experience in actual combat, so she can appear childish at times and can sometimes hesitate when finding herself overwhelmed by an unknown situation." - Umbrella Chronicles Archives

2itr4tl.jpg

"Originally a Second Lieutenant in the U.S.M.C., he was sentenced to death for first-degree murder for his role in the death of 23 people. Billy is perceptive and can expertly handle any weapon. His body, hardened by marine training, is a match for any monster in battle. He is a cynical man of few words, but possesses a keen sense of justice and a deep passion for his duty." - Umbrella Chronicles Archive

2nhdpx2.jpg

"A member of S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team. He used to serve in the same military unit with Chris and employs his expert knowledge in firearms to adjust and supply the guns for the group. He is good-natured and compassionate, with a strong sense of duty. He deeply loves his wife Kathy and two daughters, Moira and Polly.

After escaping from the mansion, he took his family to Canada and returned alone to Raccoon City to rescue his friends and former comrades from S.T.A.R.S." - Umbrella Chronicles Archive

25p6yaq.jpg

"Agent for the U.S. Government. He [had] been sent to Europe on a solo mission to rescue the President's daughter, Ashley. Leon is one of the few people who survived the destruction of Raccoon City [ten] years ago." - Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition Manual, edited

2mgk0b5.jpg

"Claire's inquisitive nature makes her more than just an ordinary college student who loves riding motorcycles. She went to Raccoon City in search of her brother Chris, who was missing under mysterious circumstances. But almost immediately she became involved in a series of eerie incidents engineered by the Umbrella Corporation. Teaming up with rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy, Claire managed to escape the city. Three months later, she [headed] to Europe, following up on clues about Chris. However, she [was] soon caught by the Umbrella Corporation and transferred to the corporation's prison on an isolated island." - Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X Manual, edited

1676lno.jpg

A woman shrouded in mystery. She tells Leon that she has come to Raccoon City looking for her lover, but this is only cover. She is actually a spy who has come to retrieve a sample of the G-virus. She has undergone rigorous special training in firearms and acrobatics, making her a real pro. Ada is always calm and collected even in the most extreme circumstances.

She is cold and mysterious, but can show a feminine side from time to time. Whether she truly cares about anyone else or is just using her charms to manipulate people is never clear. Who is the real Ada Wong? Nobody knows." - Umbrella Chronicles Archive

30igor4.jpg

"A lonely, insecure 12-year-old, Sherry is quite mature for her age. She is very shy and when she speaks, she lacks self-confidence and always has the feeling she is lost. Her parents are too wrapped up in their work to heed the emotional needs of their child." - Resident Evil 2 Manual

30tp2yg.jpg

"He has carried out a large number of successful operations, many of which he was the only one to return alive from, earning HUNK the nickname "Grim Reaper." He is a member of Umbrella Special Forces and was the operative that single handedly retrieved the G-virus despite the rest of his unit being wiped out by the G creature that used to be William Birkin.

Cold, silent and devoid of emotion, he is a human machine. He has never shown his true nature, and even his true face is unknown." - Umbrella Chronicles Archive

15gedqf.jpg

"A young mercenary with Native American blood in his veins. He was active in anti-government guerilla operations in South America. After government forces wiped out his organization, he was scouted by Umbrella Corporation to join their U.B.C.S. special ops unit.

He is an expert in heavy weaponry and vehicle operation, making him a valuable asset. He is warm-hearted and is known to joke around. Perhaps as a result of being raised amidst violence, he is brave and always willing to throw himself in the middle of danger." - Umbrella Chronicles Archive

2h2i8hw.jpg

"Though young and often reckless, Steve is a good kid at heart. He carries hard feelings towards his family, but his reasons remain wrapped in mystery. He was captured along with his father and held in the Umbrella prison on an isolated island. During a raid by an unknown organization, he escaped in the uproar. Steve [met] up with Claire as the adventure [on Rockfort Island] began." - Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X Manual, edited

s4cu90.jpg

"A U.S. Government agent, Hunnigan is Leon's support during his missions in Europe and Harvardville. She works behind the scenes to ensure Leon always possesses the correct information and provides him with ways to go about his mission."

2le2b0w.jpg

"Luis says he's a former cop, like Leon. Yet there's more to this mysterious Spaniard than meets the eye. There's even a rumor that his grandfather once lived in the area." - Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition Manual

28b72ad.jpg

"Daughter of the President of the United States. She was kidnapped by a mysterious group on the way home from her college in Massachusetts. Allegedly she [had] been spotted in a village in Europe, but there had been no sight of her [until she was rescued by Leon]!" - Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition Manual, edited

290q8zl.jpg

"A member of the police force who assists Leon in his mission in 2005. Her brother, Curtis, lost his family in the Raccoon City incident. On one of her missions, Angela recklessly dove into a river to save someone in need, nearly costing the lives of three other police officers."

xlxhma.jpg

"The eight ordinary civilian survivors of Raccoon City in Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 were Yoko Suzuki, Kevin Ryman, Alyssa Ashcroft, Cindy Lennox, George Hamilton, Jim Chapman, Mark Wilkins and David King."

mt2vxg.jpg

"The Gun Survivor series' main protagonists were Ark Thompson, who came to Sheena Island to investigate Umbrella's activities there. In Gun Survivor 4, Bruce MacGavin of the U.S. Government and Fong Ling of the Chinese Government pursue Morpheus Duvall, a terrorist with certain demands."

James Marcus
Games: Biohazard 0, Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles (Train Derailment)

Games: Biohazard CODE: Veronica
Description: Edward was one of the original founders of Umbrella, but Alexander was a highly incompetent officer; his "children" eventually used the T-Veronica Virus to mutate him into Nosferatu, who Claire kills. Alexia spent 15 years in cryogenesis to cope with the T-Veronica Virus, while Alfred spent time on Rockfort Island dealing with Umbrella's prisoners and pretending to be his twin sister. The Redfields ultimately put an end to the Ashford family in CODE: Veronica.

Morpheus Duvall
Games: Gun Survivor 4
Description: A former French Umbrella employee, Duvall was blamed for the outbreak in the Spencer Estate and fired. To exact revenge, he stole the T- and G-Virus and hijacked the Spencer Rain cruise ship, demanding that the American and Chinese governments yield to his desires; otherwise, he infects the world with the T-Virus. After he mutates into the electric female Tyrant, he is stopped by Bruce and Fong Ling.

Sergei Vladimir
Games: Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles
Description: A former colonel who joined Umbrella after the fall of the Soviet Union, he engineered the Talos project for Umbrella. Being its senior officer just beneath Spencer, he smuggled Talos as well as crucial Umbrella data out of Raccoon City before it was destroyed. He was rivals with Wesker throughout the chronology, and was defeated at the hands of Wesker in the midst of Chris and Jill's invasion of Umbrella's Russian HQ in February 2003.

Los Illuminados
Osmund Saddler, Bitores Mendez, Ramon Salazar
Games: Biohazard 4
Description: A cult of people in rural Spain who possessed the Las Plagas, which mutated living things into aggressive creatures that were distinctly not zombies. They all meet their end thanks to Leon and Ada.

Krauser
Games: Biohazard 4
Description: A former partner of Leon's, he faked his death in a car crash in 2002 and returned, working with Wesker, apparently believing in Wesker's cause. An expert with knives, Krauser somehow became the victim of the Las Plagas, causing him to mutate. Leon ultimately weakens Krauser, while Ada finishes him off.

Curtis Miller
Games: Biohazard Degeneration
Description: He lost his family in Raccoon City, and took on a mission under the company, Terra Save, to expose the U.S. government's role in the tragedy. He infects people with the T-Virus in Harvardville's airport, and then destroys WillPharma's HQ after infecting himself with the G-Virus. Leon barely kills Curtis after causing it to fall into a deep pit.

Fredrick Downing
Games: Biohazard Degeneration
Description: A dealer of the T-Virus and related bioweapons on the black market, willing to instigate T-Virus outbreaks to show clients (aka terrorists) the potential of the viruses as weapons. He worked for WillPharma until he was arrested by Leon, Claire and Angela.

Briefly described below are the various viruses and bioweapons featured in the Resident Evil series so far:

Progenitor Virus

Also known as the Mother Virus and the Primogenitor Virus, it was discovered by the three Umbrella founders, Ozwell E. Spencer, James Marcus and Edward Ashford. While able to mutate organisms, mutations were often uncontrollable, opening up the virus for modification and further experimentation. The Progenitor Virus forms the foundation of much of Umbrella's later viral research.

T-Virus

Created by Dr. James Marcus, one of the original founders of Umbrella, in 1978 after he combined the Progenitor Virus with the DNA of a leech. It is a mutagenic toxin that transforms humans into zombies. It also infects other organisms, including plants and animals, causing most, if not all the infected, to become aggressive and instinctive. At least three separate cures, antidotes and the like have been seen in the series; there was the vaccine Jill received in RE3, the Daylight created by the Outbreak crew in File #1, and the cure made by Linda of the Umbrella Corporation in Outbreak File #2.

G-Virus

William Birkin discovered this virus in Lisa Trevor's body after continuous experiments on her body (see Wesker's Report II). Far more dangerous than the T-Virus, hosts mutate into enormous and aggressive creatures bent on reproducing as a survival instinct. William Birkin and Curtis Miller are the only two people known to have injected themselves with the G-Virus, while RPD Chief Brian Irons was a failed target of Birkin for embryo fertilization; Sherry Birkin was successfully implanted. A cure called DEVIL exists, given to Sherry by Claire in RE2.

NE-T Virus

Mentioned first in RE3, the NE-T-Virus is tied to the creation of Nemesis, the aggressive and order-obeying Tyrant that stalked Jill Valentine in Raccoon City. Presumably, its properties allow for Tyrant hosts to become more aggressive and follow complex orders.

T-Veronica Virus

Created by Alexia Ashford by combining the Progenitor Virus with the genes of a queen ant, it is also an unstable virus unless subdued and controlled by a long period of gryogenic rest. Alexia Ashford was the only person to cope with the virus successfully, while Alexander Ashford and Steve Burnside mutated uncontrollably. It is the only virus in the series aside from Wesker's that allows the host to remain visibly human and retain clear human thought. Another distinct feature is the virus' ability for the main host (the queen) to control other beings' will, thanks no doubt to the virus' origins in ants.

TG-Virus

Seen only in Dead Aim, Morpheus Duvall somehow combined the T- and G-Viruses into one virus that mutates the host into a Tyrant that is impervious to normal gunfire while emitting electricity as a defense mechanism. It took special weaponry to break through it. It mutates in a fashion similar to the G-Types, becoming big masses that move slowly.

Las Plagas

Discovered underneath Salazar's castle in Spain by Osmund Saddler, the Las Plagas infects humans and other organisms. Different and apparently unrelated to Umbrella's research, it yielded creations from El Gigante and Del Lago to Verdugo and apparently even Jack Krauser's blade-wielding arm. According to Ada Wong's hypothesis, hots can be controlled by supersonic waves emitted from the staff Osmund Saddler wielded. Its mutations can be suppressed with medication, but a cure comes only with laser treatment.

Resident Evil 5 takes place 10 years after the first game in the series chronology, Resident Evil Zero. The series' story has become complicated over the years, as side stories and spin offs complicate the canon. However, as far as Resident Evil 5 is concerned, it is the latest game in the main series, which itself is comprised of the core games Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil (the GameCube remake version), Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X, Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 4.

There are also side stories in the series, that focus on "behind-the-scenes" aspects of the plot line. These games are Resident Evil Outbreak, Resident Evil Outbreak File #2, Resident Evil Survivor, Resident Evil Survivor 2: CODE: Veronica and Resident Evil Dead Aim. These games have a bearing on the plot, but are not crucial to the main plot encompassing Wesker, the Redfields, Jill, Leon, Rebecca, and others.

The series began as a relatively isolated incident in the forest outside Raccoon City. Over the years, it became a struggle of a small group of fighters against a man named Albert Wesker. Resident Evil 5 looks to finally bring this epic struggle to an end, perhaps paving way for another.

July 23, 1998

For two months, the Midwestern American town, Raccoon City, had experienced gruesome murders within its vicinity. Some of the murders occurred in Raccoon Forest just outside town in the Arklay Mountains. A smaller number occurred in the town itself. Yet, the perpetrators were still at large.

al43o6.jpg
207n9c8.jpg

The Raccoon City Police Department (RPD) decided to send its local terrorism countermeasure force to investigate the murders. That team was the Special Tactics and Rescue Service, S.T.A.R.S., divided up into two teams, the Bravo Team and the Alpha Team. On the night of July 23, 1998, Bravo Team flies its chopper into Raccoon Forest, intent on solving the murder cases once and for all...

At the same time, a young man in a robe sits atop a cliff in the middle of Raccoon Forest. As he gazes down on a train passing through, the luxury train itself, the Ecliptic Express, carrying passengers, is suddenly attacked by mysterious, slimy leech creatures. These leeches pour into the train from the ceiling and cling onto the helpless passengers as they're overtaken. The conductors are overwhelmed as well, and the train comes to a stop.

The Bravo Team chopper is now over Raccoon Forest. Suddenly, mysterious engine failure causes the chopper to crash; however, everyone is safe. The members of the Bravo Team, Captain Enrico Marini, Kenneth Sullivan, Edward Dewey, Richard Aiken, Forrest Speyer, and the rookie, Rebecca Chambers, leave the chopper to survey the area. Kevin Dooley, the pilot, stays behind to keep guard.

Bravo Team quickly locates an overturned MP vehicle. As they investigate, they discover two dead bodies and a clipboard containing information regarding Billy Coen, an ex-Leutenant who was being transported to a certain Ragathon Base for execution. Billy is nowhere to be seen, prompting Bravo Team to do a search of the area for Billy. Rebecca wanders off, and stumbles upon the train. She steps inside, not realizing just what's in store.

Inside the train, Rebecca discovers the zombies for the first time. She manages to kill and avoid them before finally running into Billy, who managed to escape arrest. She tries to arrest Billy, but being the rookie, Rebecca is powerless to enforce the law against him. As Billy runs off, Edward is thrown into the train from outside through a window, and dies after warning Rebecca of the presence of monsters in the forest. As Rebecca continues on, Enrico, via radio, sends Rebecca more information regarding Billy: Billy was responsible for the murder of 23 people, and was institutionalized.

Billy reappears and asks Rebecca to work with him to increase their chances of surviving the zombie outbreak. Rebecca refuses, but soon changes her mind after she encounters a mysterious zombie composed entirely of leeches that nearly overpowers her. Billy saves Rebecca, finally earning some, though not all, of her trust. At the same time, from the train's window, they witness the leeches gather onto the cliff with the young robed man standing atop it, smiling at them.

The train begins moving again, so Billy and Rebecca opt to stop it via cooperation. As Rebecca and Billy investigate the train, a distance away, two men, one named Albert Wesker, and the other William Birkin, sit idly as they monitor the situation on the train. Wesker and Birkin want the train destroyed, and instruct their team to do so; however, suddenly Wesker and Birkin witness the leeches as they overpower their soldiers.

Soon enough, Billy and Rebecca manage to stop the train, as it crashes into a mysterious tunnel. They survive and recover, only to stumble into a mysterious mansion-like structure, the Umbrella Research Center (URC), owned by the pharmaceutical enterprise, Umbrella Inc., a powerful force in the local Raccoon City economy as well as throughout the world.

As Billy and Rebecca begin exploring, a recording by the old director, Dr. Marcus, plays. Elsewhere, Birkin wonders why the Umbrella-engineeered T-Virus, the ultimate cause of the zombie outbreak as everyone discovers soon enough, was spilled. The young man in the robe, in a different location, makes video contact with Wesker and Birkin. The leeches recreate Dr. Marcus in front of the robed man, shocking Birkin. The young man accuses Wesker and Birkin in helping with the murder of Dr. Marcus, and laughs maniacally.

Billy and Rebecca investigate URC for a few hours, discovering files that explain the situation they're in. The URC, just like the train, is filled with zombies and all kinds of monsters. At the same time, Wesker decides that it is time he leaves Umbrella for other opportunities, and decides to lead the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team into the Spencer Mansion, also in Raccoon Forest (using the disappearance of the Bravo Team as a pretense) in order to gather combat data for the Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.W.), the official name for the zombies and creatures running loose. Birkin can't leave Umbrella just yet; he needs more time to complete his current pet project, the G-Virus. Wesker lets Birkin stay; Birkin decides to destroy the robed man as well as the URC by blowing it up.

At one point, Rebecca nearly falls into a sewer below the URC, but Billy saves her in time. Rebecca realizes that Billy couldn't possibly be an evil killer, and gets Billy to explain his story. A year earlier, he and several others were dispatched to an African jungle to intervene in a civil war, but because the information was faulty, instead they discovered a peaceful village. Despite there being no army base, some of the soldiers had died of heat exhaustion and enemy fire; the captain of the unit orders Billy and his comrades to kill the villagers. Billy disagrees and attempts to stop the murders, but is knocked out. Billy was accused and convicted, with his only option, assuming he survives, is to keep on the run.

Rebecca and Billy escape the URC and explore Dr. Marcus' laboratory, uncovering more information regarding the history of Umbrella and the original virus, the Progenitor Virus. They're temporarily separated; while alone, Rebecca sees Enrico again, who directs Rebecca to meet the rest of the Bravo Team at the Spencer Mansion. Enrico goes ahead, while Rebecca, at her insistence, reunites with Billy after encountering the Proto-Tyrant, a humanoid-shaped creature with strength far beyond that of the zombies. Billy and Rebecca take it down when it continues chasing them, and continue onward.

They eventually make it to an abandoned facility, where they finally meet the robed man in person. Turns out, the robed man is Dr. Marcus himself, who was assassinated by Wesker and Birkin under the orders of Ozwell E. Spencer, the other founder of Umbrella along with Marcus himself. Marcus managed to return thanks to the power of the leeches, which brought him back to life with new powers. Marcus mutates into the Queen Leech and attempts to murder Billy and Rebecca, just as Birkin finally sets off the URC's bomb, with only a few minutes left to go.

ru4a3p.jpg
90t2cm.jpg

Rebecca and Billy hold off Marcus long enough for the URC to begin exploding; Rebecca finds a magnum strong enough to send the Queen Leech into the explosion; Billy fires the last shot. Billy and Rebecca escape into Raccoon Forest at last. Rebecca decides to let Billy run off, taking his dogtag as proof that he, officially, is dead. Billy thanks Rebecca as she heads off towards the Spencer Mansion in the distance. Billy heads the other way, and has not been seen since...

With Bravo Team missing and the case of the Raccoon City murders still unsolved, Captain Albert Wesker assembles the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team, comprised of Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, Joseph Frost and Brad Vickers. They manage to make it to where the Bravo Team chopper crashed the day before, only to discover the dead body of Kevin Dooley. The Alpha Team continues their search of the forest area, only to be attacked by zombie dogs. The zombie dogs manage to maul Forest to death, and nearly succeed in killing Chris and Jill, before Wesker saves them. They attempt to escape back to the chopper, but Brad flees the scene with it, living up to his nickname, Chickenheart. With no other place to regroup, the Alpha Team runs for the Spencer Mansion nearby, locking the zombie dogs out.

As they make it in, they hear gunfire from the distance, prompting Wesker to send the Alpha Team members further into the mansion to investigate. However, the Alpha Team soon discovers that the mansion is filled with zombies and other creatures. Wesker mysteriously disappears in the confusion, and the dead bodies of Bravo Team members Kenneth Sullivan, Richard Aiken and Forest Speyer are soon discovered; Richard Aiken managed to survive long enough with Rebecca.

Running lose on the estate grounds is a particularly brutal creature, Lisa Trevor, daughter of the Spencer Mansion's architect, shackled and hunchbacked after years of gruesome experimentation at the hands of the estate's scientists. The S.T.A.R.S. can barely hurt the thing with their strongest weapoms, so they do their best to avoid it.

2qssc93.jpg

As the Alpha Team explores the mansion and the rest of the estate (which includes a dormitory and some underground tunnels), they run into Rebecca Chambers, who managed to make it to the mansion after her ordeal from the day before. As they explore, diaries and memos written by the inhabitants reveal more clues about what exactly went on in the mansion for many years as an Umbrella-operated property. Umbrella has experimented with viral research for the purpose of creating B.O.W. for military purposes, when something went wrong the the mansion inhabitants became zombies and their experiments, from mutant plants to giant snakes and bees broke loose. Unquestionably, the zombies and other B.O.W. were responsible for the murders of the innocent people. The Alpha Team manages to locate Wesker again, who instructs the Alpha Team to continue finding a way off the mansion. Alpha Team and Rebecca find Enrico in the tunnels, who discovered the presence of a traitor amongst the S.T.A.R.S. Unfortunately, that traitor murders Enrico and runs off before the Alpha Team can discover his identity.

Lisa returns, threatening the S.T.A.R.S., but the Alpha Team manages to shoot it into a pit, apparently killing it.

Alpha Team and Rebecca discover a hidden laboratory beneath the estate filled with more clues about the mansion. Eventually, they find Wesker again, and discover him to be the traitor working with Umbrella. Wesker unleashes the Tyrant on Alpha Team with the intention of testing its combat ability on the S.T.A.R.S., but it turns on and kills Wesker first. Alpha Team and Rebecca take it down, but before they could celebrate, the estate's self-destruct sequence is initiated, giving them only a few minutes to escape. They manage to establish contact with Brad, who attempts to save Alpha Team and Rebecca on the rooftop of the estate. The Tyrant returns for a rematch, but Brad drops a rocket launcher onto the rooftop, which manages to destroy the Tyrant for good. The S.T.A.R.S. (Chris, Jill, Barry, Rebecca and Brad) make their escape, as the mansion explodes, having survived the nightmare...

September 29 - 30, 1998

No one, the people or the RPD, believed that there were really zombies and other creatures in Raccoon Forest. While the investigation of the Spencer Mansion incident itself was closed, Umbrella continued to operate and conduct its illegal and dangerous research. By September 1998, more people in Raccoon were being attacked by mysterious, aggressive "people." And eventually, zombies appeared by the hoards and overwhelmed the entire city (as seen in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis).

Leon S. Kennedy, on the night of the 29th, drives into Raccoon City for his new job at the RPD. At the same time, Claire Redfield motorbikes into town. However, they find no one amongst the dark, empty town, except for the zombies. Leon and Claire meet by chance, after Leon saves Claire from one of the zombies at a diner. Leon decides that the RPD building would be safer than the streets, and uses an abandoned police vehicle to get there. Claire and Leon formally introduce each other, as Claire reveals to Leon that she's in town searching for Chris, her brother (from the Spencer Mansion incident, of course).

30ade2f.jpg

Unfortunately, en route to the RPD, they get into a car accident and are separated, but they survive and make their way to the RPD separately. Claire heads for the front entrance, while Leon enters through back; in the front entrance, Claire encounters Brad Vickers, who has since become a zombie. As luck would have it, the zombies have overrun the inside of RPD as well. Claire is briefed on the situation by Marvin Branagh, a surviving, but dying rapidly police officer. Meanwhile, a helicopter drops a green-colored Tyrant named Mr. X into the RPD, landing in front of Leon, who is able to stun the creature but otherwise can only run from it. Throughout Leon's exploration of the RPD, Mr. X shows up several times to attempt to kill him, only for Leon to escape.

Claire and Leon are soon reunited, by decide to split up as they look for survivors as well as a way out. Claire meets Chief Brian Irons of the RPD as well as the dead body of the mayor's daughter. Irons is clearly mentally unstable, and Claire discovers even more details about his workings with Umbrella later on. Claire also runs into a young girl named Sherry, who she vows to protect. However, Sherry says she's in the RPD because her mother told her to take sanctuary there, and she's currently avoiding a monster apparently out to get her. Claire discovers a secret passageway in Iron's office, meeting him again after hearing him scream in pain (a creature injects an offspring directly into Iron's mouth). Irons tells Claire of the G-Virus, created by Birkin, the creature running around the RPD and stalking Sherry. Suddenly, a G-Parasite erupts from Iron's body, growing into a gigantic larva-like creature. Claire kills it, and then takes Sherry with her into the sewers.

2j6ab90.jpg

At the same time, in the RPD basement, Leon runs into a mysterious woman named Ada, who says she's in town looking for her boyfriend, Jon. Leon and Ada meet a reporter locked behind bars named Ben, who Ada believes may know about Jon. However, Ben knows nothing about that, and instructs Ada and Leon to escape into the sewers. As Ada explores the sewers, she discovers the pendant Sherry was wearing around her neck with a picture of her family; Ada decides to hold onto it. After they unlock the sewer door, the mutated Birkin makes his way into Ben's cell and fatally injures him before Leon and Ada can save him. Ben divulges the details on Chief Iron's involvement with Umbrella. Ada and Leon finally move into the sewers.

2zsw7ck.jpg

Claire is separated from Sherry immediately when they arrive in the sewers. Sherry wanders deep into the sewers, where she runs into her mutated father, who implants a G-infant into her. Claire continues her search, running into Annette Birkin. Claire tells Annette that Sherry's lost in the sewers, frightening Annette. Annette proceeds to explain Umbrella's attack on Birkin and their attempt to steal the G-Virus. A team led by Hunk snuck into Birkin's lab and assassinated him to steal his G-Virus, but Birkin held onto one sample; he injected himself with it and became the monster now running around. Annette thinks Birkin is now looking to infect Sherry, prompting them to split up and find her as soon as possible.

Claire manages to find Sherry first, and is forced to fight Birkin as they proceed deep into his lab via a giant train elevator (Rebecca explored this area in RE0, and so does the Outbreak crew). After defeating Birkin, Claire discovers that Sherry's been infected with the G-Virus as Annette feared, and upon arriving in Birkin's lab, vows to find the cure.

291np7l.jpg

Annette's search has her run into Ada and Leon; she manages to shoot Leon in the shoulder, knocking him out. Ada catches up to Annette, who tells Ada that Jon became a zombie in the Spencer Mansion and died. Annette then notices Sherry's pendant around Ada's neck, and tries to get it back; however, Ada manages to push Annette into a sewer. Ada reunites with Leon later and takes care of his wound; they both proceed into Birkin's lab; Mr. X appears, but Leon escapes him again. Ada's seriously injured inside the elevator car by a mutating Birkin, who Leon also manages to defeat. Leon and Ada are separated before they can properly enter the lab. Leon explores the lab, and runs into Annette, who tries to tell Leon that Ada is an agent out to steal the G-Virus. Before Annette can kill Leon, Mr. X chases her a way; Leon escapes into the lab's power room.

9ru2vk.jpg

In the lab, Claire meets Annette again. Unfortunately, Birkin too is nearby, and he causes the ceiling to fall on her, fatally injuring her. Annette gives Claire instructions on how to create DEVIL, the cure for the G-Virus. Claire runs around the lab as she attempts to assemble the cure.

altcep.jpg

As all this goes on, the leader of the Umbrella team who attacked Birkin, Hunk, awakens from unconsciousness in the sewer. He contacts his team to meet him at the roof of the RPD. Hunk dashes through the RPD, making it to the roof and escaping Raccoon City via chopper.

Back in the lab's power room, Mr. X returns, this time cornering Leon. However, Ada returns, attacking Mr. X with her Handgun in order to draw its attention away from Leon. However, Ada is severely injured, managing to distract Mr. X long enough to shoot it in the face, causing it to fall into a pool of lava. Leon rushes to Ada's aid, but after one kiss, Ada dies in Leon's arms. Suddenly, the lab's self-destruct sequence is initiated.

2wn2zuu.jpg

Leon has no choice to continue; he receives a call from Claire to retrieve Sherry from her resting area as she completes the DEVIL. Leon does so and heads to the escape trains on the bottom floor of the lab. Claire finishes the DEVIL, but runs into Birkin as she nears the final elevator she needs to board to get to the escape train. Birkin continues to mutate, but Claire manages to put it down again.

In the train platform area, Leon restores the power in order to allow the train to run. However, Mr. X returns, this time mutated after its lava bath into a muscular creature with giant claws. Leon is nearly killed, when a woman on a platform above, whose is silhouetted by the lack of light, drops Leon a rocket launcher. Leon thinks the woman is Ada, but he refocuses on Mr. X, destroying it for good with the rocket launcher.

2u4359s.jpg

Leon reaches the train and gets it moving; Claire manages to make it as the lab begins to explode. Claire gives Sherry the DEVIL, which manages to cure Sherry of her G-Virus infection. Leon is pleased to see Sherry and Claire okay; he heads to the front of the train and says goodbye to Ada. Suddenly, the train shakes violently. Leon explores the back of the train, only to find a still-mutating Birkin. Leon attacks the creature, but it's no good: it keeps expanding. The train detects Birkin as a biohazard threat and initiates the self-destruct sequence.

Leon tells Claire to stop the train, but the door to the control room is locked. Sherry is small enough to make it into the room and stops the train. All three make it out of the train, and dash for the end of the train tunnel as Birkin is consumed inside the train's explosion. Leon, Claire and Sherry have survived the Raccoon City incident, and move forward. Claire vows to find Chris, while Leon says that it's up to them to take out Umbrella.

xdf3gx.jpg

As the main scenarios occured, one of the members of Umbrella's Alpha Team force that attacked William Birkin, Hunk, awakens in the sewers from unconscioussness. He radios his helicopter to retrieve him at the RPD rooftop, saying that the mission to retrieve the G-Virus was accomplished.

Hunk races through the RPD, dodging and killing the various monsters that continue to infest the precinct. Even Mr. X manages to be around and detects Hunk's sample of the G-Virus. Hunk gets by Mr. X and makes it to the rooftop, where he is rescued by his helicopter.

September 28 and October 1, 1998

While her partners left Raccoon City to pursue Umbrella, Jill stayed in Raccoon City to continue her research, planning to catch up with them. However, the T-Virus spread to Raccoon City, engulfing its citizens and turning them into zombies. The police force, and an Umbrella-dispatched force called the UBCS (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Squad) attempt to kill all the zombies with physical force, but are quickly overwhelmed. Before Leon and Claire's adventure in RE2, Jill spends a day attempting to escape Raccoon City, only to find her attempts thwarted by a killing machine out to get her and her alone.

28kli1g.jpg

Jill shoots her way through the back alleys of Raccoon City on September 28. She runs into Brad Vickers, who is also attempting to escape. Brad warns Jill of a creature that is out to kill S.T.A.R.S. members. Jill makes it to the RPD's entrance, where she encounters Brad again. This time, Nemesis, a very aggressive Tyrant-like creature, drops in and manages to kill Brad. Jill attempts to attack it, but it seems almost invincible. Jill spends the rest of her tenure in Raccoon City dodging the Nemesis. She gathers supplies in the RPD and heads back into the streets.

Jill runs into a small group of survivors of the UBCS: Carlos Oliveira, a regular soldier, Nicholai Ginovaef, another regular level soldier, and a fatally-injured Lieutenant Mikhail Victor. Jill questions their involvement with Umbrella, but after they tell Jill that they're just hired hands in town to assist with the outbreak, Jill decides to work with them. After running around town gathering supplies, they repower a trolley car that they use to ride into the Clock Tower, where a rescue chopper is to meet them. However, Nicholai is apparently killed before they can get the trolley going. As they ride toward the Clock Tower, Nemesis attempts to stop the ride, but Mikhail sacrifices his life to evict Nemesis from the cable car.

r85wci.jpg

The cable car crashes into the Clock Tower. Jill and Carlos, the only survivors left, manage to ring the bell, bringing the rescue chopper. Unfortunately, Nemesis is still alive, and uses a rocket launcher to destroy the chopper. Nemesis then infects Jill with the T-Virus. With help from Carlos, Jill manages to finally knock Nemesis out, but her infection overtakes her as she falls unconscious.

Jill wakes up on October 1, after Claire and Leon have escaped town. Jill tells Carlos she's infected, which prompts Carlos to explore the nearby hospital for the cure. Carlos runs into Nicholai, who Carlos realizes is working with Umbrella to collect combat data at the expense of the lives of the UBCS soldiers. One of the soldiers Nicholai attempted to kill, Tyrell Patrick, attempts to blow Nicholai up, but Nicholai escapes, while Carlos finds the cure.

2e3o0fp.jpg

Carlos heads back to the Clock Tower, running into Nemesis on his way. But Carlos makes it back and gives Jill the cure, revitalizing her. Jill and Carlos make it to the Dead Factory, where they witness Nicholai escape with the helicopter that had been stationed there for escape purposes. Nemesis returns, but Jill manages to fight back this time, leaving Nemesis to become swallowed by the factory's disposal machinery. Carlos and Jill then discover that Raccoon City is set to be destroyed, in totality, by the U.S. government at sunrise, so they have little time to escape. Carlos discovers that another helicopter has flown into Raccoon City looking for Jill. Carlos attempts to contact it, while Jill makes her way outside to meet the chopper.

A mutated Nemesis returns, but with the help of both a mysteriously-planted machine cannon in the factory's final room and a random Magnum she finds on the ground, Jill manages to, once and for all, kill Nemesis. Jill and Carlos meet the chopper that was looking for her; it turns out it's piloted by Barry Burton. Barry flies Jill and Carlos out of town before the missiles touch down and wipe the city off the map. Jill vows to get her revenge on Umbrella.

December 27, 1998

After surviving Raccoon City, Claire leaves Sherry with Leon and runs off to Paris to continue her search for Chris. In December 1998, she somehow manages to infiltrate Umbrella's Paris lab facility, and is discovered, which causes Umbrella's security personnel to chase her with machine guns, and, desperate to kill or capture her, send a helicopter with a gatling gun to attempt to kill her from outside the tall building. While she makes a gallant effort to avoid capture, she is taken prisoner by Umbrella. She spends 10 days being transported, and finally is brought to Rockfort Island, an Umbrella base on an island somewhere near South America. On the 30th, Claire regains consciousness in a prison cell, as she hears and feels the walls shake and gunfire going off on the surface. When things calm down, a wounded man walks into the room. Claire uses her lighter to illuminate the room, and sees Rodrigo Juan Raval, the man who captured her in Paris. Rodrigo frees Claire from the cell, letting her go because he feels the place is finished. Rodrigo decides to rest in the cell, awaiting his death

1180evp.jpg
2zez9f8.jpg

Claire explores the rest of the prison complex; the island was attacked, and zombies have appeared. She meets Steve Burnside, another prisoner who managed to survive the attack. She attempts to work with him, but is turned off by his solo-leaning attitude. Claire finds a computer, and on Steve's sarcastic advice, uses it to contact Leon, who in turn is able to contact Chris regarding Claire's situation. Steve is perturbed at Claire's naivety, telling her not to rely on people before running away from her. Claire escapes the prison and makes it to the Palace, where she finds and saves Steve from a booby trap. Claire also finally meets Alfred Ashford, the commander of the base and grandson to one of the original founders of Umbrella, Edward. Alfred believes the island was attacked by Claire's people, and Alfred therefore wishes to murder Claire.

Claire escapes from Alfred's presence and finds an underwater airport with a seaplane that could be used for escape. Unfortunately, it needs three keys to operate, so Claire's got to find them. She backtracks to the base's military training facility, where Alfred chases her into a maze-like trap filled with zombies and other B.O.W. She reunited with Steve, who manages to save her from dying. Suddenly, Steve witnesses a zombie that was once a person he knew - his father. It's about to murder Claire, when Steve kills it first. This causes Steve to sob uncontrollably, making Claire sympathetic. Claire finds two of the keys for the seaplane, as well as medicine that will stop Rodrigo's bleeding. Claire returns to the prison, and gives it to Rodrigo along with her lighter. Rodrigo, impressed with Claire's kindness, gives her a lockpick in return. Claire explores the rest of the prison, a center for gruesome torture experiments, before returning to Alfred's palace.

30daxhl.jpg
2r53tld.jpg

As Claire opens the palace's door, a mysterious voice calls out to her. It's Albert Wesker, who actually attacked the island, and he's still vengeful at Chris and the S.T.A.R.S. for wrecking his plans at the Spencer Estate. Wesker abuses Claire for a bit, but receives a phone call from his soldiers. Wesker decides to let Claire draw Chris straight to him.

25g4hlc.jpg

Claire makes it to Alfred's private house, where she witnesses a conversation between Alfred and his twin sister, Alexia, before they head off. Claire finds the last key the seaplane needs to operate, but before she could escape, Alexia ambushes her. Steve rushes in and saves Claire, but they soon discover that Alexia is actually Alfred in a woman's dress, speaking in a female voice. Alfred runs off, hugely embarrassed, and sets off the self-destruct sequence for the island. Steve and Claire run back to the seaplane and insert the three keys; while running, they witness three seaplanes fly over the island carrying other survivors. Claire needs to raise a bridge in front of the plane before it could take off, prompting Claire to run back around the island. At the same time, Alfred unleashes a Tyrant to attack Claire. Claire manages to stun the Tyrant long enough to run passed it. Returning to the seaplane, Claire and Steve finally fly off the exploding island.

The Tyrant has made it to the plane's hangar, but Claire manages to shoot it enough to wound it, weakening it enough to use a crate launcher to push it off the plane and down into the sea below (exploding in midair). Alfred, who escapes the island in a harrier jet, manages to take control of Claire's plane, sending it to the Ashford base in Antarctica. Unable to do anything, Steve and Claire stay in the plane and rest. While sleeping, Steve attempts to kiss Claire, who moves out of the way unknowingly.

2l97954.jpg

December 28, 1998

The plane finally crashes into the Ashford's South Pole facility, where the T-Virus has also been spilled. After exploring a bit of the base, including witnessing an imprisoned blind B.O.W. and the discovery of a nearby Australian research base, Claire sees Alfred again. However, this time, Steve manages to shoot Alfred in the stomach, causing him to fall into a pit. Claire and Steve drill their way out of the base, and attempt to escape, when the blind B.O.W., Nosferatu, actually Alfred's father Alexander, impedes Claire and Steve's escape. Claire manages to kill the creature with a few bullets to its exposed heart, allowing them to finally drive away from the base. However, Alfred lives long enough to unlock Alexia from her long sleep. As Alfred dies, Alexia witnesses Steve and Claire driving away on a monitor, and uses the power of the T-Veronica Virus, now infused into her, to unleash a gigantic tentacle to attack the vehicle and pull it back to the base.

December 29, 1998

Back on Rockfort Island, Chris has received Leon's message and has arrived to rescue Claire. He scales the island's cliffs, but unfortunately drops his supply bag into the ocean. Continuing, Chris sees Rodrigo, who tells Chris that Claire managed to escape the island. But suddenly, a Gulp Worm swallow Rodrigo whole; Chris manages to kill it, but Rodrigo can't be saved. Rodrigo returns Claire's lighter to Chris and dies, leaving Chris to continue his search of the partially-destroyed island. Wesker sees Chris and confronts him, surprising Chris. Wesker tells Chris that Claire is being held prisoner in the Antarctic by Alexia. Before Wesker, with his superhuman abilities, could kill Chris, Alexia appears on a monitor and laughs, prompting Wesker to chase her to Antarctica.

29bhils.jpg
atrl09.jpg

Chris finds a plane and flies straight to Antarctica, where he soon finds Claire. Claire is fine and happy to be reunited with her brother, but she is concerned about Steve, who is soon heard yelling from nearby. The Redfields are temporarily separated, leaving Claire to find Steve alone in the prison Nosferatu occupied. Unfortunately, Alexia injected the T-Veronica Virus into Steve, causing him to mutate into a giant monster. Claire runs away, and is captured by one of Alexia's tentacles. Steve nearly finishes Claire off with an axe, but Steve's emotions pull through, and he slices the tentacle, which retaliates by slamming him into the prison's concrete wall. Steve reverts back to human form, but soon dies, his last words confessing his love for Claire, leaving her sobbing...

fpb69y.jpg

Chris witnesses a confrontation between Alexia and Wesker. Wesker tries to fight Alexia, but Alexia mutates and throws blood that erupts into fire. Wesker discovers Chris, who he lets fight Alexia as he runs off. Chris shoots Alexia, putting her down. Unfortunately, she rises and follows Chris. Chris finds a crying Claire behind a locked door, which can be only opened if the self-destruct sequence is activated. Chris manages to do just that, freeing Claire. However, Alexia returns to confront the Redfields. Claire runs off for the plane, while Chris utilizes a linear launcher to finally vaporize Alexia.

Chris moves to escape, but Wesker's captured Claire. Wesker takes Claire to a subterranean submarine dock, while Chris follows close behind. Wesker releases Claire and informs the Redfields that he's acquiring the T-Veronica/Alexia virus by taking Steve's body. Chris tells Claire to return to the plane, while he stays behind to finish Wesker off. Claire tells Chris not to die on her and runs off. Chris attempts to fight Wesker to avenge the death of his comrades, but Wesker's superpowers are just too much for Chris or any ordinary human to handle. Wesker nearly kills Chris, but Chris manages to drop a ton of steel beams onto Wesker. Unfortunately, the plan doesn't work and Wesker survives. However, an explosion separates the two, wounding Wesker's face. Wesker laughs and decides to let Chris go, saving their confrontation for another day.

Chris and Claire have returned to the harrier jet, which Chris pilots and flies away from the base as it finally explodes. Claire is happy to be reunited with Chris, but Chris tells her that they must take Umbrella down once and for all.

July 23, 1998

While Rebecca and Billy worked together to escape from James Marcus' leeches, Albert Wesker was at work behind the scenes in the Arklay Forest, readying his plan to betray Umbrella and sell his soul to a new organization. After leaving Birkin behind to destroy the URC, Wesker begins in the area right above Birkin's lab, with the cargo elevator, where he kills many of the B.O.W. running around. Soon enough, after wandering through the URC, he makes it to the train wreck beneath the Umbrella Research Center, where he finds Sergei Vladimir, a former colonel from Russia and now one of Umbrella's top executives. He is in command of a Tyrant that much resembles Mr. X with a special visor. Sergei has the Tyrant, known as Ivan, battle Wesker. Wesker manages to survive its onslaught, which leads Sergei to retreat with Ivan to battle another day.

Wesker lives, and proceeds with his plan to lure the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team into the Spencer Mansion.

July 24, 1998

After escaping from Marcus, parting ways with Billy and making it to the Spencer Mansion, Rebecca spends much of the day resting in the dormitory behind the main mansion. She runs into fellow member Richard Aiken, who she works with to find the other S.T.A.R.S. in the mansion while battling zombies. From a window in the mansion, Rebecca sees Sergei and his Tyrants walking with a mysterious container. Rebecca and Richard move on, and they're able to kill a lot of B.O.W., until they witness the Yawn, a giant snake. The Yawn is about to devour Rebecca, when Richard dives in and takes the hit for Rebecca. This leaves Richard seriously wounded, but the Alpha Team arrives in time to save both of them from the snake. Richard is eventually killed, but Rebecca and the Alpha Team members manage to continue their search of the mansion.

Later on, before confronting the S.T.A.R.S. in the laboratory, Wesker injects himself a virus provided by Birkin, which will resurrect Wesker with superhuman powers upon his death. After Chris and Jill meet Wesker in the lab, Wesker then lets the Tyrant attack him, leaving him dead temporarily. Wesker comes back to life with his superhuman powers, and makes his escape from the laboratory. He returns to the main hall of the Mansion, but Lisa Trevor, who survived the fall at the hands of the Alpha Team, returns to get her revenge on Wesker, stalking him. However, after a fierce battle, Wesker manages to put Lisa down with the heavy chandelier, leaving her trapped long enough for her to be consumed by the explosion.

Wesker has been resurrected, and is no longer human, leaving him to pursue a new mission in life, a path of world domination, and a desire for revenge on the S.T.A.R.S. for destroying the Tyrant.

Ada Wong, wounded but now bandaged up and partially recovered after her saving Leon from Mr. X, begins her final escape from Raccoon City, at the same time Carlos and Jill are undergoing theirs. She is to meet up with a contact at the Apple Inn (where the Outbreak crew was days before). When Ada arrives, she sees the contact dead, apparently having committed suicide. She sees Wesker on a monitor, telling Ada that the man killed himself after losing the will to live; furthermore, Ada's helping Leon will have consequences for their organization. Ada shows Wesker a sample of the G-Virus from Birkin's body. Wesker is impressed, and fiddles with a button that releases a lock on a storage container next to Ada, which holds a grappling gun, a tool she will need to escape. Wesker tells Ada that there's only one helicopter out of town, with an Umbrella officer being transported on board, so she better be quick.

Ada heads out into the streets, killing zombies and using the grappling gun to transport herself to the highway above the streets. She witnesses the helicopter, but before she can cling onto it, a mutated Mr. X jumps in and attacks her. Ada is able to kill it, and times her grapple gun just right to cling onto the helicopter, which is transporting a giant container below it. In the cockpit is Sergei and another mysterious man, discussing their plans for the future after the destruction of Raccoon City, as well as Sergei's transportation of a container containing something very important to Umbrella. Sergei mentions to the officer that Umbrella will rise from the ashes again. Ada clings to the chopper tightly, looking at the container as Raccoon City is blown up.

February 2003

After Raccoon City was destroyed, and Chris finally rescued Claire, Chris and Jill reunited and formed an anti-Biohazard containment unit. At the same time, Umbrella's stock price fell drastically and an investigation was launched with regards to its role in the Raccoon City outbreak. Umbrella managed to delay the hearings as much as it could, meaning that the only way it was to be destroyed for sure was through direct involvement from Chris and Jill, as well as initiatives by Wesker himself.

2ekukuv.jpg

Meanwhile, Sergei has gathered everything he needs for the final development and deployment Talos, supposedly the most powerful bioweapon ever created. In Umbrella's main stronghold in Russia, Sergei has unleashed the T-Virus upon the entire lab, leading Chris and Jill to lead their unit straight to the base for a direct attack. Meanwhile, Wesker has also showed up, taking advantage of Chris and Jill's invasion of the base and the ensuing confusion. As Wesker looks at the base from a distance, he prepares to finally end Umbrella himself once and for all.

Chris and Jill land on the base with plenty of back up, but many of their comrades are soon killed. With plenty of experience between the two of them, Chris and Jill fight the endless amounts of zombies, zombie dogs, hunters, lickers and other creatures that have overrun the base. Slowly but surely, Chris and Jill dig deeper into the base, reaching a gigantic elevator that takes them deep down below ground. Meanwhile, Wesker gets in from a different area and eventually makes his way into the depths of the base as well, killing a number of B.O.W. in the process. Sergei eventually confronts Wesker again, and sends his Ivan after him. But Wesker is able to use his superpowers and weapons to kill the two Ivan once and for all, leaving him to go after Sergei directly.

1413vh4.jpg
206bluf.jpg

Chris and Jill make it to the final area of the lab, where Sergei unleashes Talos. Talos is probably the most powerful B.O.W. they've ever faced, mutating consistently and unleashing devastating attacks, including rockets. However, their tenacity and combat experience finally allow them to finally defeat it, leaving Chris and Jill victorious. At the same time, Wesker finally confronts Sergei, who mutates into another powerful B.O.W. Wesker struggles in his battle with Sergei, but manages to finish him off once and for all. Wesker takes a set of disks that Sergei had possessed, containing data on the Talos as well as all of Umbrella's sensitive information.

xlmq1c.jpg

After their battle, Chris and Jill stand outside the base, proud of their achievement. Little do they know, however, that it was really Wesker's initiatives against Sergei that brought Umbrella down, and not their own. Still, with this victory, Chris reminds Jill that Wesker's still out there, ready to strike again...

2004

In the six years since Leon escaped Raccoon City, he's become an agent for the American government, working directly for the new president, Graham. After separating from Claire, Leon met with the U.S. government and accepted their offer to recruit him. Also, the Umbrella Corporation has finally ceased to exist thanks to the collapse of Umbrella's stock and suspension of operations by the American government (and, of course, thanks to Chris and Jill, and Wesker's efforts in Russia the year before). Now, Leon's in a rural part of Spain in pursuit of Ashley, the president's daughter, who was kidnapped by an unknown group of people. Leon eventually arrives at the entrance of the trail leading straight to the village where she's supposedly being kept. With two Spaniard cops watching him from a distance, Leon makes contact with Ingrid Hunnigan, who will be partnering up with and advising Leon for the duration of his mission.

Leon heads into the nearest cabin, where he soon discovers that its inhabitant has become an aggressive creature that wields a small axe; it attacks him, but Leon, with his superior training, easily kills it. After witnessing a truck slam into the police car, Leon contacts Hunnigan again, informing her of the hostile local as well as his intention to resume the mission. Hunnigan tells Leon to continue his mission. Leon makes it deeper into the village and encounters more of the hostile humans. In the main village, Leon is surrounded, and one of them wields a chainsaw in an attempt to decapitate Leon. Leon, now an experienced fighter, holds out long enough for a church bell to ring mysteriously, prompting the villagers to run off.

2nvxbt3.jpg

Leon searches the rest of the village, running into a man named Luis Sera, who says he's an officer from Madrid. Their meeting is cut short by Bitores Mendez, the tall, trenchcoat-wearing village chief, who captures the two. While unconscious, a mysterious robed figure injects Leon with a mysterious substance, saying he'll become "one of them." Later, Leon and Luis nearly assassinated, but manage to escape, Luis running off on his own. Leon runs into Mendez again, and is nearly killed, when a woman in red saves Leon at the last minute before running off. After a long search through the village and endless encounters with villagers and even more deadly creatures, such as Del Lago and El Gigante, Leon finds Ashley in a church and frees her. Saddler shows up to stop them and explains what Leon and Ashley have been infected with (the plaga), but Leon and Ashley escape.

The two are nearly out of the village when they are surrounded by what are now known as the ganado. Leon's usual method of decapitating them backfires when the plaga rise in place of the heads. They run into Luis in a cabin, and team up to fend off the ganado. After chasing them away, Luis runs off, saying he "forgot something." Leon and Ashley make it to a mysterious cabin, where Mendez shows up again. After Leon explodes a barrel near Mendez, Mendez mutates into a deadlier creature, but Leon kills him.

2iw6i6d.jpg

Leon and Ashley make it to the castle, which is owned by another one of Saddler's minions, Salazar, who vows to kill Leon and capture Ashley. Leon and Ashley explore the castle, and run into Luis, who prepared an antidote but dropped it. As Luis finds the antidote, Ashley is soon captured by Saddler. Leon also loses contact with Hunnigan for the duration of the mission. Leon also runs into that woman in red, who turns out to be none other than Ada Wong. However, Leon seems to have already found out that she survived Raccoon City and has been working with Wesker. Leon tries to question Ada, but Ada runs off. Leon explores the rest of the castle, and Luis shows up with the Las Plagas sample, but is killed by Saddler, who takes the sample for himself. Luis tells Leon that he was a researcher for Saddler working undercover; he commands Leon to retrieve the sample before dying.

ms2mpc.jpg

Leon manages to reunite with Ashley, but Salazar soon captures her again, intending to perform a mysterious "ritual" on her. Meanwhile, Saddler sends off another minion of his, a man named Krauser, to capture Ashley. Leon battles more gruesome creatures, including Salazar himself, who mutates into a giant creature with massive tentacles and a cocooned body. Leon succeeds in killing him before meeting up with Ada, who awaits Leon on a speedboat to an island fortress in the distance.

33keo2e.jpg

Ada goes her own way, leaving Leon to explore the island. Leon eventually rescues Ashley, but in good fashion, Saddler captures her again, this time by actually taking direct control of her. Leon follows them, but Krauser shows up attempting to assassinate Leon with a knife. Leon recognizes Krauser, a former comrade, having assumed he died two years in a crash. Leon realizes that Krauser was the one who kidnapped Ashley in order to buy Saddler's trust. Krauser also makes a passing mention about Umbrella, surprising Leon. Krauser nearly kills Leon, but Ada stops Krauser's offensive. Krauser runs off, vowing to kill them both. Ada heads off, and Leon continues exploring the island. After killing another stronger Plaga creature called "It", Krauser returns, mutates and tries to kill Leon, but Leon manages to win that battle.

o59us6.jpg

The U.S. government has sent a helicopter piloted by a certain Mike to assist Leon, killing many ganado that stand in his way. However, one ganado with a rocket launcher downs the chopper, infuriating Leon. Leon continues and has a momentary lapse of judgment as he begins to be controlled by the plaga, attacking Ada, who shows up to see if Leon's alright. Ada manages to stop Leon long enough for Leon to take Luis' pills. Leon and Ada decide to find Ashley before stopping the infection. Leon finally finds Ashley in Saddler's control. Leon tries to free Ashley, but Saddler proves to be too powerful for Leon. Ada shows up, and distracts Saddler long enough for Leon to escape with Ashley to a laboratory that happens to contain the machine that can eradicate their infection. They succeed in killing the Plaga from inside of them, and attempt to make their final escape.

f0atlt.jpg

Leon, in a construction area, senses something to be amiss and leaves Ashley to investigate. Leon finds Saddler, who has captured Ada. Leon frees her, angering Saddler. Saddler mutates into the biggest and baddest Plaga yet, a creature resembling a spider. Ada runs off at Leon's command, and Leon attempts to battle the creature. Leon uses all his ammo to fight it, but it isn't until Ada shows up with a rocket launcher (just like 6 years ago) that Leon is able to take Saddler out once and for all. Leon finally retrieves the Plaga sample, but Ada holds a gun to Leon's head, prompting Leon to turn the sample over. Ada tosses a jet ski key to Leon and presses a button that will blow up the island in a few minutes. Ada flies off in a chopper, leaving Leon to escape the island with Ashley via the jet ski. Ashley falls over board, but Leon saves her. Mission accomplished. After Leon turns down Ashley's offer for "overtime," Ashley asks Leon who that woman was. Leon refuses to give her a straight answer. After the mission, Leon contacts Hunnigan again, reporting the success of his mission and then asking for her number...

11b6dew.jpg

As Leon went on a ganado-killing spree, Ada was behind the scenes with her own motives. Keeping in close contact with Wesker via a video transmitter, Ada's objective is to retrieve Saddler's Plaga Sample, which can be done by meeting with Luis. In the village, Ada sees the ganado attacking Leon. Under Wesker's orders, Ada is to ring the church bell to calm the villagers down, which she does. Later, she sees Leon and Luis captured, prompting her to rescue them both. Ada saves Leon from Mendez in the cabin, and runs through the village only to be captured. She escapes a sacrifice ritual attempt, running into Luis as he leaves the cabin where he and Leon battle the ganado. Luis tells Ada he's on his way to retrieve the sample, and runs off.

1ya6vm.jpg
2ih6vwk.jpg

Ada goes to the castle next, attempting to ambush Leon, but Ada is forced to run away. Ada communicates with Wesker again, who tells Ada to kill Leon. Ada runs through the castle behind Leon to retrieve the sample, but Saddler kills Luis and takes the sample for himself; Ada was too late. After taking Leon to the island, Ada meets with Krauser, who doesn't trust Ada. Ada runs off after Wesker orders Krauser to kill Leon once and for all, retrieving a bunch of non-master Plaga samples riddled through the island (for some reason changing her outfits between the red dress and the jump suit back and forth in the process). Next, Ada saves Leon from Krauser's assault. Later, Ada runs into Krauser after his battle with Leon, weakened but still able to fight. Ada promptly finishes off Krauser for good, and then heads off to save Leon and Ashley from Saddler. As the two escape, Ada is left to fight Saddler. She momentarily knocks him out, and takes the sample, but Saddler captures her. After Leon frees Ada, Ada uses her grappling gun to seize a rocket launcher, which allows Leon to destroy Saddler. After Ada takes the sample, she escapes in the chopper, leaving Leon with the jet ski.

atupl1.jpg

Ada has accomplished her mission, but it turns out she was only pretending to work for Wesker, instead turning the Plaga over to the organization, rather than Wesker. Ada questions Wesker's future motives, noting that Wesker could turn up at another pharmaceutical corporation called "S." Ada speculates what Wesker's intentions are, noting that "the battle" is just beginning...

Leon and Claire are reunited after a long time following a zombie outbreak that occurs inside an airport in Harvardville, an American town. Claire has since become a member of Terra Save, a humanitarian organization that aides in recovery from T-Virus incidents. This T-Virus outbreak occurs at the hands of a terrorist working for Terra Save named Curtis Miller, bitter at the American government for apparently hiding the truth about Raccoon City. An officer named Angela, assigned to rescue civilians at the airport, works with Leon as he arrives and infiltrates the airport. With his experience, Leon is able to fend off the zombies and rescue Claire, Rani, niece of a Terra Save member, and Senator Ron Davis, a corrupt government employee who knows more about the incident than he lets on. The virus incident at the airport is contained by a SWAT team.

Claire also meets a Fredrick Downing of WilPharma, an organization that claims to have developed a T-Virus antidote that it couldn't use due to Terra Save's interference and accusation of their corruptness. Claire feels guilty about this development, but Leon offers some advice for her and the path she took following her rescue from the Ashfords. Fredrick takes Claire to WilPharma's headquarters to show Claire information on the T-Virus. Leon and Angela decide to look for Curtis after his involvement in the outbreak is suspected.

Meanwhile, Curtis Miller sets his home ablaze, before Leon and Angela arrive. Curtis heads for the WilPharma headquarters, where he explodes a bomb and injects himself with the G-Virus. Fredrick disappears, and Claire contacts Leon, who rushes over to the headquarters with Angela after they find Curtis' house ablaze. Angela reveals her relationship with Curtis at the same time, being his younger sister. Angela tells Leon about the death of Curtis' wife and daughter in Raccoon City.

A SWAT team attempts to kill the mutating Curtis G-Type, but they're all wiped out. Meanwhile, the headquarters' failsafe system activates, giving Leon and Angela a few minutes to reach a safe area of the lab before they're killed by an explosion. After a long struggle, Leon shoots the G-Type straight in the face, causing it to fall into an exploding pit that is sealed thanks to Claire, who has been in the control room of the base the whole time attempting to aide Leon. Leon, Claire and Angela recoup outside the lab, and proceed to capture Fredrick, who turns out to have been corrupt. Ron Davis also resigns, but is soon mysteriously killed as his computer containing information on the outbreak is slowly erased. A newspaper article states that a company named Tricell has offered to purchase WilPharma; Tricell investigates the wreckage of the lab, finding something amidst the wreckage that they deem to be important. Leon, Claire and Angela go their separate ways once again...

An Umbrella worker named Linda attempts to escape Raccoon City, but returns to one of its labs to reclaim a potential cure for the T-Virus. The survivors have also arrived, but a mysterious lockdown forces them to escape through a back way. Hunters have invaded the lab, but another scientist named Carter unleashes a Mr. X to kill the Hunters. Mr. X turns on the survivors, killing Carter. The survivors evacuate to the streets, rescue Linda, who can recreate the T-Virus cure, and kill a mysterious creature named Nyx. They barely escape via truck before the city is blown up by multiple missiles.

In November of 1998, Ark Thompson, an agent for the American government, is dispatched to Sheena Island, owned by Umbrella. Sheena Island functions very much like a tight-knit Raccoon City, with its various parts all operating together to serve Umbrella's needs.

The story begins with a helicopter crashing mysteriously. One man, in a white suit, falls from it, while the pilot survives the crash and manages to stumble onto his feet. He doesn't know his name and cannot remember anything. He walks forward and sees the body of the man in the white suit, with a dogtag in his hand. It says Ark Thompson, and the man concludes that the dead man must be Ark Thompson.

The agent moves on, and encounters zombies and other creatures attempting to stop him, so the T-Virus has been leaked. Meanwhile, Umbrella sends a masked clean up crew to rid the island of B.O.W., and they go after the man as well. The agent moves forward and witnesses a short guy named Andy, who calls the man Vincent, and a murderer. Files throughout the island talk of Vincent's experimentation on boys from around the world to create Tyrants. The island is riddled with the same Mr. X Tyrant that stalked Leon in Raccoon City.

The man also runs into two children named Lott and Lily, who run away from him. Eventually, "Vincent" catches up to the children and discovers the truth; "Vincent" is actually Ark Thompson, a detective sent by Leon S. Kennedy to investigate the island and find out more about Vincent Goldman, the real Vincent Goldman, the man in the white suit, who managed to survive his fall and unleashes another Tyrant, with claws, to take out Ark, Lott and Lily. Ark manages to take it down after the Tyrant kills Vincent, and they all escape in a helicopter before the island is blown up.

In September of 2002, a sample of the T-Virus and G-Virus is stolen from Umbrella's laboratory in Paris by Morpheus Duvall. Days later, he hijacks the Spencer Rain in the middle of the sea. This is part of his revenge plot against Umbrella for blaming him for the Spencer Mansion and Raccoon City incidents. He unleashes the T-Virus on the ship.

The U.S. government sends Bruce MacGavin to take care of Morpheus, and Bruce lands on the ship, finding Morpheus right away. The Chinese government sends Fong Ling to take out Morpheus as well. As Bruce and Fong Ling separately confront Morpheus, there's an explosion, severely injuring him.

Bruce and Fong Ling search the Spencer Rain for Morpheus, encountering zombies and other mutates B.O.W., including modified Tyrants, infesting the ship.
To save his dying self, Morpheus injects himself with the mixture of the T- and G-Virus to make himself into a Tyrant with electrical properties. Fong Ling and Bruce are unable to defeat it, putting them on the run.

Eventually, the ship crashes into yet another island owned by Umbrella, complete with a research laboratory. It's there where they discover Morpheus' plot to unleash the T-Virus into the world via missiles if he is not granted an African kingdom to become his paradise. The Chinese government capitulates to Morpheus' demands and attempt to assassinate Fong Ling, but Bruce saves her. Eventually, the two find a weapon powerful enough to defeat Morpheus and bypass his natural shield against weapons. Morpheus mutates into a huge blob resembling William Birkin, but Bruce ultimate shoots it to death before the place explodes.

Bruce asks Fong Ling to come to America with him, but Fong Ling remains loyal to China. The two finish their mission as they are rescued.

WESKER'S REPORT

My name is Albert Wesker. I aspired to become a leading researcher at Umbrella Inc. A pharmaceutical enterprise who covertly conduction Bio Organic Weapons, better known as B.O.W., for development. But at the leader development training ground situated in Raccoon City, I met a brilliant and talented researcher who decided to take a different path; William Birkin. In time I shifted my position to S.T.A.R.S., a special forces unit of the Raccoon Police Department. Umbrella, for crisis management reasons of their illegal Bio Organic Weapons development, had many of it's people working in the police department. I became the leader of S.T.A.R.S. and conducted all sorts of intelligence activities for Umbrella. As I continued to serve I devised my own plans and waited for the right moment to execute them. Then at last, opportunity knocked.

The freak murder incidents that occurred in the forest near the mansion started it all. The mansion was Umbrella's secret BOW laboratory and it was clear that the in development T-Virus was the cause of the murder. Initially, Umbrella instructed me secretively to keep S.T.A.R.S. out of the case, but with the heightened emotions of the citizens S.T.A.R.S. had no choice but to move in. That was when my next order was given. Dispatch S.T.A.R.S. to the mansion, dispose of them, then report the situation to headquarters so that their combat with the B.O.W. could be used for data analysis allowing Umbrella a comprehensive portrait of the B.O.W.'s combat abilities. From the 2 S.T.A.R.S. teams I first pitched in the Bravo Team. As expected, the top elite of S.T.A.R.S. gave all they had and became useful sample data. Then following, I geared up the Alpha Team to "search and rescue" the lost Bravo Team. The members of the Alpha Team also proved their worth and as expected many died.

There were 5 Survivors from the initial 11 S.T.A.R.S. members. From the Alpha Team were Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Barry Burton. And from the Bravo Team were Rebecca Chambers and Enrico Marini. It was time to begin executing my plans. In the midst of the whole affair I could take Umbrella's ultimate Bio-Organic Weapon, the Tyrant, and join forces with an opposing corporation of Umbrella. To buy into that opposing corporation I would need the actual combat data of the Tyrant. The surviving privileged members of S.T.A.R.S. were just the perfect bait. I decided to have one of them play the Judas and draw them to the Tyrant. That Judas was Barry. Barry was the strong truth and justice kind and cherished his family more than anything. His type is easy to manipulate. I just took that most important thing away from him. My only miscalculation was the high potential of Chris and Jill. But with the family man Barry playing Judas the scheme went as planned. Then the winds turned unexpectedly.

I had to eliminate Enrico who found out what was behind it all. I used Barry to get to him. After I successfully got rid of that nuisance I awaited the sample specimen that Barry would bring to me in the Tyrants room. I injected the virus I obtained from Birkin in advance. If I made Umbrella believe I was dead, it made it far more convenient to sell myself to the opposing corporation. According to Birkin the virus had profound effects. It would put my body in a state of temporary "death." It would then bring me back to life with super human powers. Therefore I unleashed an awesome Tyrant from its slumber and let it attack me. As my consciousness faded away I was certain that the whole scheme would end in success. Never did I imagine that S.T.A.R.S. could slay the evil creation. I lost the Tyrant and the plan I devised which cost me my humanity ended in failure. Now anything and anyone who stood in my way would be terminated. It's been that way for a long time and it always will be. At all costs I had to make S.T.A.R.S pay.

Two months had passed since the mansion incident. To regain everything I had lost in my new organization, I joined hands with Ada Wong, a female agent who was also sent to spy on Umbrella. I knew in my bones that the key developer was William Birkin, but what he didn't know was that Umbrella did not play games... with anyone. Eventually, Birkin would be assassinated, and the G-Virus would be in the hands of Umbrella. But the salvage team led by Hunk was ahead of us. By the time they got to Birkin, he'd already injected himself with the G-Virus... he became his own creation, and decimated them. Soon after, the T-Virus carried by rats spread throughout Raccoon City, and Umbrella faced its worst scenario. The good citizens became zombies, and the city had headed for its devastating fate. Humans were no match against zombies. In the chaos, Umbrella Europe applied a new type B.O.W., called "Nemesis". The Nemesis would hunt down and destroy the surviving member of S.T.A.R.S., Jill. It became imperative that our organization would also obtain the Nemesis data.

To cover up the whole affair, Umbrella jettisoned a Tyrant to take care of Leon and Claire, who were trying to unveil their secrets. Then, a new revelation. Birkin used to hide the findings of his studies in his daughter Sherry's pendant. It was very possible that the G-Virus was there. While Umbrella was busy with their cover up, we had to capture Sherry before they did. I sent Ada undercover to seek the location of Sherry. I, the "dead man" on the other hand, had to work in the shadows. A spy's obligation and priority is in the mission, to carry out the mission like a machine without any emotional interference. But through her interaction and involvement with Leon S. Kennedy, there'd been an affection growing inside her. My instincts sensed danger, something had to be done, quickly. My instincts did not disappoint me. Even though Ada almost had her hands on the G-Virus, which Leon had acquired from Sherry, that affection of hers drove her to her death. But she was still of some use. I had to save her life. My people hurried to retrieve the G-Virus that Leon threw away. But Hunk, the only survivor of Umbrella's salvage team, was there before us.

Our only option left was to bring back Birkin, the monster, as the sample specimen and have him finish off Leon and Claire in order to obtain his combat data. Although Birkin lost the battle to Leon and Claire, we succeeded in gathering samples of the G-Virus from his dead body. In the morning the government bombed Raccoon City in an attempt to stop for the viral outbreak. This was, of course, their feigned reason. Later, Claire left for Europe to find her lost brother Chris, and Leon joined forces with a underground anti-Umbrella organization. Sherry is safe in our hands. I would never underestimate Birkin. There's something about this little girl...

Wesker's Report II chronologically precedes the first report, and is addressed to Ada Wong. It details the various people who worked at Umbrella, as well as the discovery and research on various viruses. It also delves into Wesker's motives. It was originally written in Japan and accompanied the REmake version of Resident Evil. It was translated by Capcom Europe, but that version had quite a few errors. The one linked to here is hosted by Resident Evil Fan.

Click on the titles to access Wesker's Report II. There's too much text to contain it all in one post.

Versus Mode

Hi Resident Evil Fans!

We are happy to announce that the wait for new Resident Evil 5 content is almost over! The new online multiplayer Versus mode will be available to download on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7, 2009. For 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE, or $4.99 on the PlayStation Network, Resident Evil fans will be able to go up against each other for the most terrifying Versus mode to date.

Versus allows up to four players to match wits in online battles across two very different game types. Slayer’s Rule is a point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis. In Survivor’s Rule, players hunt the most dangerous game, each other! Players can begin the hunt as Chris, Sheva or other secret characters, and choose from either one-on-one or two-versus-two team matches for either of the two gameplay styles.

Holy. Shit. Nice work, guys. I wasn't expecting such an "epic" thread. 0_o

2 more weeks, baby. Two more weeks. My game boner is so hard right now.

If anyone wants to get some co-op action happening (360 version), my GT is "Rez Mistle". Feel free to add me, I don't have nearly enough people from GAF on my friend's list..
