Maybe it would be a better idea to have a bi-monthly thread instead? This one is only 3 pages long, the previous one was 4...

Anyway, should we continue using this one, until a senior member starts the new one (or maybe it's already up and I'm just blind)?

I donno. The original thread seemed too heavy to bear after the crash of "la.gg", and is passed to a monthly release ... which after two months seems to be dropped in turn. Frankly I find hard to grasp the logic of it all.

Monthly threads are kind of tedious. I mean: it makes sense for something popular like MarkMan's Pick-up thread, but I don't see any point to apply this to our thread since people don't post very often in here. Not too fond of bi-monthly threads either for basically the very same reason. These threads should last a little longer than that; perhaps a new one for each quarter of the year. I don't think they'll get too crowded / unorganized that way.

I'm not sure it will solve the problem (who will create the thread, which will summary), but why not after all.

We continue to use that one until October before moving to the quarterly version?
