Maybe piracy affects the sales a bit, but i wonder if the lack of career mode in the game is also hurting the sales of GT PSP. The game doesnt have a career mode as far as i know at least. Is this the first Gran Turismo game without an career mode?

I know diff install bases, and 'demo' vs 'real' game, but I think it did just fine.

About the sells of GT PSP, more than piracy, and even more than the fact that a lot of people buys it in digital form, the low sells is because is a portable GT.

Other games may not be affected going to a portable device, but GT is a simulator. A lot of people play it in a big screen and with steering wheel. So a lot of GT fans don't buy the game, and they wait for the home console version. I don't think that, for example, GT Advance had the same sells as the home console GTs.

Probably is the Pokemon effect (that all DS gamers are buying the same games) but lately i se A LOT of PSP games in the Top 30.

Trinity Universe BOMBED really hard :(

There are probably still 2-3 years left of this console generation, so if Nintendo wants to keep the Wii sales higher, then they need to "save" the Wii. But ye, "saving the Wii" is probably not exactly the same as "saving the PS3", i agree.

I think that this is a good point, it might be that GT is one game/franchice that doesnt traslate that well to a portable system. GT PSP didnt sell very bad the first week though, at least in my opinion, but it sold noticeably less than what the main console GT games sold at least. But it might be that people in general prefer more to play Gran Turismo on a big screen indeed as you say, i agree :)


And ye, maybe digital download did affect the sales as well as mentioned, but i dont know how much the overall sales were affected by this though. I wish that someone tracked how much digital download games sold so we knew for sure how much GT PSP sold over digital download :)

Interesting, i wonder why Media Create started to combine these HG and SS. Is this the first time that MC do this? It might be a pity that we now dont get to see if HG or SS will sell the most, but on the positive side, if they are combined, then that means that we will get numbers for 1 more game in the Top 10 (if HG and SS werent combined, then these 2 games might have taken up 2 spots in the Top 10, and then one game would have been "pushed out" of the Top 10 if you know what i mean) :)
