I don't see them. The game is very frontloaded.
I've noticed that sometimes when people say "____ has some legs" here what they really mean is "Wow, a game I liked didn't crash out of the top 10 or top 30 after one week."

It's kind of a figurative pair of legs compared to other games they like completely dying, like most more Western appealing games tend to in Japan.

I can't imagine why every single PSP Go owner wouldn't be buying P3P on PSN. It's a big title. We can probably add at least 43k to the total. I'm sure people who bought the package game also bought it on PSN as well, just for faster loading. Persona fans are real collectors. I think we can add 50k to the total so far to account for PSN sales. That's a low estimate even.
I got the import via PSN because it was faster ;P

Maybe he just meant Bayonetta has great legs.

thedrill blog gave a second pair of numbers this week which 99% are the exact Media Create numbers. Too bad they gave no early hardware leak but if this pattern continues and Media Create doesn't prevent them from doing it again (yeah, right...) I can live with that.
We even get seperate sales for Pokemon HG/SS and Inazuma Eleven 2.

I don't think RE Portable will really need that factor to look impressive.

What's strange is that Capcom says the game will really make use of the PSPgo.

Which is very worrying given the non-factor it's going be.

Wow @ the hardware gap between PS3 and Wii. Nintendo should've known that being too complacent was practically begging for Sony to wedge their foot in the door. Only time will tell if the trend continues, but the PS3's price drop/new sku bump seems to be outliving everyone's initial expectations.

Yeah it'll definitely reach 1 million now but man what a painfully slow crawl to 1 million it's been.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

The DS old persons edition.... I can't imagine Japan would go for a less portable system in a big way.
DSi LL is for people who struggle with the relatively small DSL or DSi screens (mostly older people), for a better experience when playing at home, and that other people can see what you're doing much easier by having the bigger screens, but mostly, the much wider viewing angle.

Call me crazy, but, I honestly think that the PS3 will become the defacto system over there. Third party games keep selling in high numbers where as on the Wii, well, unless your Capcom or Square you're not getting sales.

Sony's plan of making the regular PSP look like a fuckin steal next to the Go must be working for them.

Pokemon Co.? I always thought Pokemon was owned and published by Nintendo.

It's a subsiderary of Nintendo. Sort of how GE owns Universal and NBC and publishes under those names and not GE.

It depends how you mean the ''high numbers''.

Well, the de facto 'system' is the DS.

As for home console, the PS3 still has a-ways to go.

Well it seems as of late that most third party PS3 games are selling 100k+.

You mean titles like PES, or Tekken 6 or Bayonetta? Games that have had a huge amount of effort/money/promotion put into them, or are big brands? Funny that...

So much for a resurgence of PSPgo sales in the second week, haha.

Steins;Gate is really hanging in there! I've noticed that it's been getting a lot of praise in the otaku community, and there's a fair amount of "personal dedication" for it, the same kind of stuff you'd see for iDOLM@STER and Love Plus. Wonder how long it can hold out, I guess not having a PC version probably helps...

Yeah it's a way off from saying that. Hopefully PS3 has some consistency in 2010 to keep up the pace. Anybody got a solid idea of the 2010 lineup?

Obviously GT5, Yakuza 4, maybe Versus XIII and Metal Gear Rising (possible but not likely)... What else is there?

Sorry, was referring to consoles. The DS of course is the de facto system. But the PS3 looks to be doing quite well now in Japan.

Using Famitsu figures, there's still 60k to go. At 5k a week it would take another 12 weeks, so we'd have to be looking at a couple of great holiday weeks (say a pair of 15-20k weeks?) to make it, but it is just about within reach.

I guess the question is, can Sony keep their momentum long enough for a development movement to start occurring

I'm still hoping Capcom has a PS3 Monster Hunter in the works

EDIT:
Maybe the purple dildo will spur some sales too, if they launch it with some good software.

Yeah if it is stable at 5K now I imagine it will see a decent increase in December like many Wii games do. If it doesn't reach it by the end of the year it will be close.

A PS3 Monster Hunter makes no sense when Capcom can make much, much more money with Wii Monster Hunter 3 G.

Not to mention the PSP port hasn't even been announced yet. There is much milking yet to be done in this little cycle.
