Would it be OK if I made a temporary MC thread and copy paste Gematsu stuff? Then, one with the data, formatting and everything makes the real thread?

Lots of SCE (actually PS1/PS2) once strong IPs are in severe decline for some quite time.
Minna no Golf is another example.

Sony's only shining spot in the last few years was publishing Minecraft for Sony consoles.
Yeah Sony Japan is in a miserable condition. Like think Microsoft situation where they rely on a old IPs and don't seem to have the leadership or talent to make memorable new ones that woulf appeal to the market.The only saving grace is that Ps4 is doing very well wordlwide so it's getting AAA support by default.

Good thing other people of the community are on it, otherwise I was taking a look to write something similar for new MC threads.
Switch doesn't stand a chance against 3DS anymore, Nintendo's stock management is a complete joke.

We'll see after next week, it's a major release, any have sales data for previous mario releases.

I don't think it would have anyway. While handhelds are still popular in Japan, mobile gaming is even more so than one year ago, two years ago etc. Unless they are riding on a long wave of "something" (brilliant marketing, some special trend or something along those lines), they will never reach those numbers. Sure, initial hype can give an initial advantage but it doesn't do much for longevity.

We are already in the middle of october. Nintendo wouldn't be that dumb to let te stock problem perdure on the holidays.

I think after next week, switch will bem doing good for a while. At least until january.

2 millions Switch in 2 weeks?

Switch will be over 2 million next week with SMO launch.
Should sell over 1.5 million more throughout November and December. On average it's going to sell >166K p/w in the nine weeks that make up November and December.

It's always been pretty clear that 40-50% of the annual stock will be concentrated in Q4.

Is the report about Nintendo upping their Switch production to 2 million units per month true? That should alleviate the shortages lol

I'm thinking you used LTD of combined platforms in some places but individual skus elsewhere

For week 42 -
PS4 | 25.075 + 5.029.257 != 5.454.508
but rather
PS4 | 25.075 + 5.029.257 = 5.054.332

PSV | 3.535 + 5.533.679 != 5.722.665
but rather
PSV | 3.535 + 5.533.679 = 5.537.214

Well if I missed any one, I am sorry. Been trying to get as many of you as I can. But still keep sending my PMs, especially if I missed you.

Lots of SCE (actually PS1/PS2) once strong IPs are in severe decline for some quite time.
Minna no Golf is another example.

Sony's only shining spot in the last few years was publishing Minecraft for Sony consoles.
Honestly, its not just Sony on the decline, but most publishers have seen decline in a lot of franchises like Square Enix w/ Star Ocean/FF/DQ/etc., Namco Bandai w/ Tales, Ace Combat, etc., Koei Tecmo w/ Musou, and more. Its why Sony really made PS4 more western focused since that is where the money is. But I still appreciate any games their Japanese branch puts out as always.:)

Sony first-party has been in a decline for a long time, and I don’t know about the other franchises, but regarding DQ, there wouldn’t have been a decline if it hadn’t launched so late in the 3DS’ life cycle. The game came out months after its successor launched. The 3DS version was a victim of being an afterthought to the PS4 version, but both versions are tremendous successes. There’s no problem with the franchise. It’s nothing in comparison to Sony’s previously highly-successful IPs getting close to irrelevancy.

BoilersFan23's right, it's not just SIE's first party titles. Even behemoths such as Monster Hunter and Yo-kai Watch series on 3DS saw declining sales.
