This is not the Ideal thread for this request, but it's the best "artwork" thread on GAF, so I'll try my chances.

Anybody has the cover (front and back) from Banjo Kazooie Platinum Hits?

I recently bought a used copy of Banjo from my countrie's ebay and it's the Platinum Hits version that came bundled with Viva Piñata in a console combo down here. So I have a Platinum Hits disc, but no official case or insert for it (it did came with a manual).

I was thinking about printing the original Banjo Kazooie DVD cover, but it's a Platinum Hit, so I tough about printing the Platinum Hit boxart, but I can't find it anywhere.

Anybody has it in high enough resolution?

There's no central "Let's Print Alternate/replacement covers" thread on GAF. There's a million different threads, but nobody made a mega thread like this one.

I'm not sure which are the differences, but there's apparently two Platinum Hits models out there? Meh. This is starting to be more work than it's worth.

I figured since no one has shared the art from the BTTF game from TellTale yet that I'd do the honors.

Images are all 1010x638. (They look good stretched as a desktop background, or you can have them centered if you're into that sort of thing)

Hi there everyone. This is my first post, and I hope it doesn't offend anyone due to some of the upcoming links... anyway,

I've been working on a rather sizable image gallery for some time, with the intention of keeping quality standards intact. The v1 of this gallery is still a WIP, and though it's searchable and taggable, it has a few problems that I would like to work out before releasing v2. The gallery's around 20GB in size and has a lot of the stuff that's available here. The gallery can be found below. The gallery is an academic project for purposes of preservation relating to video game artwork, particularly concept art. Generally, scans aren't part of the DB. The gallery is linked below.

http://ettugamer.com/gallery3/

bigdaddygamebot, some of the art for Tactics Ogre is in my database:
http://ettugamer.com/gallery3/index.php/T/tactics-ogre-wheel-of-fortune-2 (there's actually a couple of Tactics Ogre DBs here... I haven't merged everything I have in v1, something that will be implemented in v2 of the gallery)

If people like this, I'm curious as to what I can do to improve by the time the second version of the gallery is released. I really love what everyone's doing here, and thanks so much for spending your time to do so.

I have to say, that this is a damn fine job esserius! I have intended to do very similar to that. Obviously there are couple of desing issues with this site, but that's just the surface. As I can see, with a little user helping tweaking here and there, and it could be a very useable source to gaming materials. Just one question: are you keeping the original files as well? Or just the JPG's?

I do keep most PSD files and other various things on my computer, but if you're asking whether I intend to share those, the answer is probably not. They're typically much larger and don't provide a lot of extra content. I tend to break down PSD files into their respective layers anyway. I think that just providing the PNGs of most of the various layers is enough (and sadly it's something that I have to do by hand, because the range of PSDs that I find tend to vary greatly--each publisher has their own tricks for how they handle images, transparency, and other things).

And yeah, there's a lot of stuff to polish, to be honest. v2 will not only have roughly three times the files (actually it's probably about roughly five times the files, roughly three-four times the size), but it will also polish what I consider some of the rough edges of the way in which Gallery3 presents content.

I'm sure he has most of them just in JPG/PNG/BMP because after just looking around a bit (because is night & late and don't have time to look at everything), many of them are coming from here, if I'm correct. If I'm wrong, just tell me, I'm just curious only because other comment I can't find at the moment from how your webpages looks.

Yeah, due to the early iteration, much of the stuff in the database comes from here. However, as I have expanded my own searches and interests, as well as my access to various PR spaces, I have begun to build a collection of my own that is separate from the one here.

I've entire sets of dot hack artwork, and lots of Atlus stuff that I haven't uploaded (the v2 iteration will have all of this). I've also quite a few things from Sega and Paradox Interactive (Mount and Blade). Lots of Suikoden stuff as well. Much of this stuff simply doesn't exist on the internet, I assume, because people aren't actually looking at the PSD files. I'm finding more and more PSD files which contain multiple images that are used for a sort of "sorted" ordering (for example, 8 layers, each layer being a different expression, or 8 layers of backgrounds with different characters superimposed over them). It's kinda interesting.

I'm also a huge fan of Hyung-Tae Kim, so I have a plethora of stuff from the Korean games he's worked on (in general I have lots of Korean and Chinese artwork from games). Also have a lot of stuff from old websites that worked with Panzer Dragoon and some Skies of Arcadia stuff.

All of this is really touching the surface though, the repository I've been building is actually beginning to bulge my current harddrive. I consider this a good and bad thing, heh.

Just so everyone knows, I believe that A-F in the database are in more of the organizational structure that I currently envision, while G-Z are basically unorganized (if you're really curious, the v1 database was actually a messy merging of two older databases, which is why it looks so... well, messy--v2 will be an entirely new database, mostly for purposes of eventually creating a new DB that will not have the technical problems of v1--v2 also contains a lot of bugfixes that v1 is still ridden with).

To reduce the size of PSD files I'd suggest using GIMP with the (xcf)bz2 format. I'm not interested in keeping multi-layered pics, but I've tried it with a few of them and it seems to work pretty well (of course it's somewhat slow). Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have decent support outside of GIMP (xcf is its native image format), but it could be a decent choice for archival purpose.

Tremendous work guys... got access to the forums today and I wanted to make sure my appreciation was registered immediately.

I still have hope that UN Squadron will find its way on here at some point -- though I'm not totally sure how many images were ever available for the game. Perhaps a sequel some day, hopefully prior to the apocalypse.

It's really far from obsession, it's only shows that you never worked with these artworks in a professional way. If you want to admire your collection via your monitor - that's fine for me, but please don't judge others if they want more... Because if you ever want to print them out in a proper, larger size, you can be really pissed of, if you only can have the downgraded, noisy JPG as you intend to keep your files...

I could say that your work earned my deepest respect. I know how hard is to maintain that kind of massive assets. I still looking for a solution to make a proper database from my files as yours - but it will take an awful lot of time, and resource. And probably money. It would be nice to conserve it in a proper way, to keep it for the next generation as well :)

I really don't know how this topic will be in the next 5 years and what games based on posters & artworks will be 15 years from now on, plus of what I will have in time. That's the beauty of it. :)

I like this mind-time-travel thinking. Well is time to get back to reality and for today - below.

I wasn't judging at all, I was joking. I supposed it was clear, given the emoticon used.
