Video Game Wallpapers, Fan Art & Hi-Res Artwork Thread of Eternal August

I came up with the idea to convert a shot from the amazing Super Famicom original box to vector files so I could print them or use them as a wallpapers, and I thought somebody here could like what I did. So here goes...

If you like them I can give you the vector files so you can make any size and color you want.

That is a great idea and made me remember about this "Sonic Dreamcast" logo I vectorized a couple years ago to create an Avatar out of an 90x90 GIF (if I remember correctly):

jyviybzEdOOk7.gif

The final Avatar is small, as you can see, but here's the Adobe Illustrator file I made so I could properly create it:

I hope somebody enjoys it. :D

It's awesome, I think I'll edit it as a wallpaper right now. Thanks!

The art can be found in many places but only with the logo, like a promo. We don't know when any press will want to release it without the logo.

No way is it worth the price he's asking. (especially in the age of press kits primarily being video - 24 gb is likely the equivalent of 20 or so videos, a couple hundred images and some music - I'd like to be wrong, but since he's not providing much info regarding what's actually on the CDs/DVDs/etc., it's rather uninteresting).
I will add character arts, sometimes you encounter PNG format, logos, lots of videos how you said, interviews, how we made the game, photos of dev. guys, etc.
There were some Ubisoft press kit on megaupload before it went down and I got only one art from Assassin's Creed I 25MB.tiff,
Press kits are not related to only just one specific game.

Each of those CD are having up to 5 to 7 games.

I give 5GB ... max.

I think you forgot to consider the date mate. It's 2005 we are talking about. It's the Pre HD era, and by then, it wasn't many or not that space consuming videos than nowadays. So it's full with juice. Maybe just not for you. But it's still something quite unique and rare.

Based on this, I'm going to assume it's your auction. So tell me, can you give me a rough estimation of how many images there are, and how many games? I'm just looking for a numeric estimation. If possible, how about how many are screenshots versus artwork?

I also forgot to mention, but:
If you've noticed in my Zenphoto galleries, some of them have TIFF folders with nothing in them. These folders indicate that I have TIFF files available for some of the artworks in that folder. These are available upon request. I use TIFF due to their widescale readability, lossless compression, and scalability relative to other file options. Though technically proprietary, the file format has not changed in 20 years, a lifetime in technological terms, and thus seems a good format for the purposes of preservation.

Dunno the point of this. 95% of that stuff is available on gamespress. The most peculiar artwork for each game ends up being cover art or marketing/internal, and that's passed by single PR upon request and specific arrangement about the intended use.

BTW: don't really like the commercial/exchange tones that sometime surface around here. I contribute as I can in community spirit since this thread has proven useful from time to time, so please don't make me reconsider my choice. I don't feel comfortable thinking my contributions may be used as some sort of "currency".

I don't either, though I contribute for purposes of preservation and to allow people to make use of the images for mash-ups and other forms of art. I apologize if I offended you, but the current PR industry sees these very much as a form of currency (Gamespress likely being the biggest offender). I'm simply trying to not deny that reality, as much as I may have disdain for it.

I haven't posted in this thread awhile but I just want to say thanks for blitz. omnibus and everyone else holding it down with assests. It's greatly appreciated.

CALLING ALL WALLPAPER MONSTERS!

I'm putting together the official OT for Lolipop Chainsaw, and I was wondering if anyone can help me find ANY high res art or press materials from the game at all. I know this stuff might be easier to find when we're closer to the launch date of that game, June 12th, but anything anyone could help with would be awesome!

I can offer credit to you in the OT when it goes up!

Hugs and kises!

Everything I've collected, which admittedly isn't much.

I'd request that you credit the artists whose work made the game possible, rather than myself.

There's got to be a misunderstanding here. I have no reason at all to be offended :)

I quoted you just to note that probably none of those disks contain anything worth mentioning. Rest of the post was not related to the quote. It's just that when a listing like that pops up, I can't help but feel that someone's misunderstanding the point (well, what I think is the point) of the work of those who contribute and keep this thread clean.

As for Gamespress, it's just a service that caters to professional need, not unlike Shutterstock or any other photo outlets. Even if I have my own archive, from time to time I use both myself.

Just to add to what blitz and esserius posted, not the highest of res but should be good enough for the OP. Good size pics of the side characters, bosses, and weapons =)

Speaking of artists, does anyone know who the character designer/lead artist is for Lollipop Chainsaw?

Haha I didnt even think to check wikipedia, thanks a ton. So the character designer is NekoshowguN and doing a bit of searching her art is badass. Now I really hope this game gets an artbook. The official Japan site even has some concept art of characters.

Does anyone have any Lost Planet artworks? Just started playing the game (late to the party, yeahh!) and loving the art direction, links are dead :-(

If your request is still available.

Does anyone know of a batch processor that will simply attempt to spit out every combination of a layer structure in PNG format?
