Back from the dead with a new set of Uncharted 3 cover art.

I made a few versions, with small differences. With and without ESRB or Naughty Dog logos, the Uncharted logo behind or ahead of Drake's head, and a clear version without the black banners. Hope you guys like 'em. Click the previews for a bigger preview.

Very awesome. Just waiting for that PS3 version. Since the AC collection of prints will be my first foray in this here awesomeness, I have to ask what the best paper to use is. Well I did print out an alt for Infamous 2 back when but the photo paper I used was too thick.

The best is double-sided Glossy, about 80lb. 80lb is actually a bit on the thin side (slighty) so I think if you can get one slightly heavier than that it'd be good. 80lb is very, very close though.

I got grudge sucked!
In a moment of severe dementia I sold my copy of Valkyrie Profile for the PS1, it was complete and in wonderful condition. I regretted it and found a copy for a modest $50. Problem is, its the discs only (which are actually in very good condition), but no case no instruction booklet, no nothin'

I've got one of those "slim" double CD cases (same size as a standard CD jewel).

Anyone want to cook up a custom cover for VP1, PS1 CD case? THe back cover would be the hardest part as I like having the game name on both spines.

Dunno if it'd belong in the OP, but GameStop gave me a blank PS3 case free of charge and I didn't even make a purchase that time (I had gone in earlier that day to nab a code for Journey for a friend though). Speaking of which, it's probably difficult since it's just a digital download, but are there any good covers for Journey out there?

EDIT: fuck it, made it myself:

Here are my contributions, a couple have already been done, but I altered them in a couple of ways. Everyone else though, the covers you have posted are great!

Battlefield 3:

Crysis 2:

Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD:

Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

RAGE:

Enjoy!

With the recent "10 out of 10" Batman game just released...wait, it does say Arkham City somewhere on that cover doesn't it? Well, to get rid of that eyesore, I have a clean cover for it. Found a great Batman/Harley pic for the cover, works with the new dlc. I actually made this about a year ago when AC first came out, forgot all about it though.

It's my first upload, would someone mind double checking the dimensions for me?

I’m going to want to start printing some of these out soon, but alas, my printer is shit (passed down from my dad when he upgraded) and from memory is a real ink-guzzler. HP ink ain’t cheap!

Can anyone recommend a good affordable printer (preferably with built in scanner, Wi-Fi would be a plus too).

Failing that, if anyone can recommend somewhere UK based that are willing to print these out at a reasonable price, that would be appreciated too.

Any chance you want to do that for PS3? ;)

I meant to post these all a year ago when I found this thread, but I wasn't accepted into the site until earlier this year.

PS3
I redesigned many of the old style "Spider-Man" font covers from my own collection and updated them to the new style. A couple of these were already posted, but I tweaked or fixed something with them. They all have proper icons on the back (players, hard drive space, ect), BLUS and UPC codes.

007 Quantum of Solace (New PS3 style)

Assassin's Creed (New PS3 style)

Call of Duty: World at War (New PS3 style)

Demon's Souls (New PS3 style)

Dragon Age : Origins (New PS3 style)

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition (Redesign)

Eternal Sonata (New PS3 style)

Ghostbusters (New PS3 style)

Grand Theft Auto 4 (New PS3 style)

Metal Gear Solid 4 (New PS3 style and CE artwork)

Spider-Man 3 (New PS3 style and CE artwork)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (New PS3 style)

Wolfenstein (New PS3 style)

PS2
I used to play this game on PC, but was fortunate to buy a PS2 Vana'deil Collection disc off ebay for $12 (they were being sold for like $80 since they're rare). I even played it on my backwards compatible PS3 for a while. Since I did not have a case or cover, I redesigned the cover to look more like a proper entry in the series. Now my Final Fantasy collection on my shelf doesn't have a gap between Final Fantasy X and XII.

Final Fantasy XI

PS1
In addition, I did some updates to some PS1 game covers fit for a PS2/DVD size case. You can buy 4-disc DVD cases on amazon or ebay (cheapest).

Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VIII

Final Fantasy IX

The Legend of Dragoon

I can't take full credit for the FF7 one; I found the artwork and touched it up. If I work on any more I will post them.

Also, does anyone know why my transparent PNGs have black backgrounds? They are transparent when I save them from PS but when I upload them to mediafire, they look like this

If I were to guess I think it's a mediafire problem. Try another host, like abload.de

@noiseman
Definitely something wrong with mediafire, I had to host all my 3D box images on my photobucket account instead.

@Fudgepuppy
Your best off going to Kinkos or someplace that does printing where you can take a usb with you and do it yourself. I used to upload them on Staples printing website and then picked them up later, but I got a couple complaints about some copyright bullshit and they wouldn't print them.

Oh yeah, and get a nice big ruler and a paper knife to cut them; I don't recommend scissors.

Here's something that I made for myself and thought I'd share. It's the exact same dimensions as a scanned NTSC version of the cover so it should be as simple as print and replace.

This was especially necessary for me because the game cover for my sealed copy was packed outside of the sleeve somehow and got all wrinkled lol.

Uncompressed TIF version

Here's what the uncompressed TIF version looks like printed: http://h11.abload.de/img/3323plj33.jpg. The picture doesn't do it justice but the print quality from the Staples was really awesome. Cost me 50 cents here in Canada. The paper I used was Double-Sided Glossy, 80lb Text (as opposed to Cover paper).

I'm Bumping this thread with a plea. I have 2 reasons.
1) I really want this thread to have a greater push from the community at large, much like how we did at the start of this thread and the PS3 cover thread that preceded it. This thread kinda comes and goes in waves and it would be nice to see it live consistently. With talent we have here with the new game releases that has come recently and future releases, its a shame if this thread looses steam or goes all together.

2)

This made me think. Since Club Nintendo had there Game Card Case, I wonder if anyone is willing or can think of some cool Ideas for more custom covers to use with the cases. To see what cool ideas people may come up with.
Nintendo already made some nice ones. Lets see what The Gaf community Can come up with!
Edit: Something off the order of one of Club Nintendo of Japans would be neat

Is it for some reason a bannable offense to post some of my printable VGBoxart stuff here? I don't know if it's self promotion, I just figured people would like to see some good box art, but as a junior I'm a bit freaked out.

Absolutely. I'm going to get to work on some designs right now. It would be great if someone with template experience to make us a 3DS template.

Posting your covers is exactly what this thread is for, so go ahead. Try to relax. ;)

What's the best blu-ray movie cover template out there? I've been going through Google, but nothing's really worked for me.

Is there a certain kind of Paper that's best to use when printing out these covers or is it a specialist printer I need? Am in the process of replacing my crappy fat PAL DS cases with sleeker blank 3DS ones and would like to print out some of the awesome covers I've seen here. :D

This thread is awesome, just so you know.

I just had an idea for a Ikaruga cover (GameCube version):

Download the PSD

Everyone else in here is doing an AWESOME job. Really creative people in here :)

Still, may I suggest that people save their images as JPG or TIF/TIFF in CMYK mode?
If I print PNGs they come out way more ugly (PNG only supports RGB color mode) than when they're translated to (or done in) CMYK.

Still, stuff looks awesome. A big thumbs up from me to everyone in this thread!

EDIT:

Sadly I don't know US specifications for this kind of paper, but I'd recommend 120g/m² coated paper.
It's shiny and pretty much what is used for official cover art, I guess.

You may want to use a color laser printer.
I use a OKI C5650, all the stuff comes out beautifully, just like intended.

Thanks for the covers guys, just got the complete assassins creed series so will be pimping out my boxes with these awesome covers.

Just going through my collection now trying to find some replacements for the boring standard covers.

Cheeky question though.

Any chance someone can make me a generic xbox 360 cover for my games that I get from lovefilm? I keep misplacing the discs in there crappy little plastic wallets so would love to use a spare box to put them in.

THanks!
