In the first lap he is using it like excitetruck and having a torrid time. But in the 2nd and 3rd laps he uses it more like a proper wheel and it definitley controls better. This is pretty promising I think.

I hope they don't overdo it. I mean against freakin Ridley it makes sense, but my most hated thing about Prime games is the "3-4 second charge before you shoot worth crap" thing, or how if you get hit at all you lose it. But then I guess Samus is a girl so maybe she's a real wussy one without the suit and that's why she can't keep her gun out after getting hit for 10 damage. Either way, all it does is slow down the gameplay and force you into coward tactics, not exciting.PantherLotus said:

Also, I've been saying for a while that Wii Sports looks a lot better than people have been giving it credit for. Trees look amazing, especially in Tennis (SpeedTree for Wii am confirmed?), textures and shadows (not to mention lighting) are great, but most of all, it's the whole art style that makes the whole game work. By the way, notice the aliasing in those Wii Sports pics (look where the stands meet the grass)- I'm calling no bullshots, and I'm impressed.

The game has excellent textures. Way better than anything I've played outside of XBOX 360. Some cool graphical effects here and there. Outside of the Mii which is simple by design, the game looks pretty nice and has a cool soundtrack as well. I think it's by Mr. K Totata (Wave Race 64 style).
Yah Yah! Nintendo spoke about the game being available and demoed it New York. No release date though

On the awesome note, I think we can all assume that the Wii will be most successful (at least in Japan) if they can position it as a download station/info transfer/recharge dock/(insert anything that the iPod does on your home CPU and you get the idea) for the DS. Pokemon would be the first prong of that attack, and it might very well be a huge hit.

I actually saw Monster Trucks 4x4 in motion and it looks pretty decent actually.
