After a grueling session of arguing back and forth, the votes kept coming in. People shifting from one side to another. However, things looked grim for CzarTim. Until, finally, he realized what he had to do. He began convincing his fellow students, quickly and surely. He made an argument against Crab, one so logical that all the students began to come around. They all turned to Crab. There was no other logical choice. The vote came in unanimously – Crab was going to be punished.

So, once more, the execution began as it always does. Dragged into the adjacent room and tied to a gurney, Crab struggled to release himself. Monokuma appeared, in typical nurse garments, with a cartoonishly large syringe. He jabbed Crab with the syringe. He began to pull back on it, slowly, draining all the blood from Crab. The syringe even began to rip the organs from Crab’s body, and finally it started to rip pieces of his flesh out as well. The physics of this torture device didn’t make much sense, but what was left over was a skeleton and shreds of what the boy used to be.

Behind the students who had gathered to watch, there came a cackling and maniacal laughter. It was coming from CzarTim. He pointed and laughed. “I’m sorry, I can’t hold it in. That was just too good,” he proclaimed. As the students all turned to look at him, his demeanor had completely changed. He was unhinged and the look in his eyes was unsettling. It was obvious what was happening.

CzarTim is a Remnant of Despair.

Shocked, everyone turned to each other, wondering how you could have all been deceived so perfectly. You had executed another one of your brothers – this time, on the word of a mad man. Monokuma arrived and ushered the students back to their rooms, giving them much to consider during the night.

As a neutral observer, this is how I see it.

Crab was a long-suspected member of Despair. Evil as he seemed, plotting and seemingly vicious, he attempted to get rid of poor innocent Czar, after already sacrificing another member of Hope the previous day.

What he hadn't accounted for, was that Czar, the hero of this story, had a trump card left. Our valiant fighter for justice used his power to beat Crab. Unfortunately as it turned out, Crab had not been evil, it had only seemed so to someone as good and pure in his heart as Czar.

So Crab died and Czar lived.

As you walked out the door, you expected the death message to spring forth, as it had in the previous days. But, it never came. Oddly enough, you and the other students shuffled into the courtroom again like in the previous days. As you gathered into the elevator to make your descent, more students trickled in, until finally&#8230; every student from the previous day was accounted for.

No one died last night.

Things to think about:

1. Unless Sawneeks and Czar are BOTH Despair, it seems unlikely that Vivioggi/Kalor/Zipped are Despair. They all 3 pushed Czar into the coffin in the final stretch, when they could easily have voted Sawneeks out.
I do not think Czar wanted to use his ability on D3. He had no choice because Zipped made it a majority vote for him. Actually, even if Sawneeks is Despair I truly believe that Despair wanted to keep Czar around to use his ability later on. So I find it unlikely that Kalor/Vivi and possibly Zipped are Despair in either scenario.

2. We seriously need to reanalyze what AB/Pau/Czar talked about. Their discussion was centred around N1.

AB claims he saw Czar and was suspicious. He has his weird broken line post as evidence. If this is a gambit with Czar, it is elaborate. I'm inclined to believe Hope though. I don't know if we can afford to vote out AB to test this.
Czar claims he was one-shot cop and spotted AB. He used his "AB NS" post as evidence. However it was clearly seeded early on because he knew he was caught on N1 and needed some sort of cover if AB ever spoke up about it. Again, this is why I lean Hope on AB. Or this is an elaborate Despair gambit in which case ffs they deserve the win.

We KNOW Czar's claim is false. What is interesting is what we do know. Czar has a (most likely one-shot) ability to force the vote to any person he pleases. He used it to save himself.
Assuming AB and Pau did see Czar N1, he wandered the halls and actually likely did kill franconp. I sincerely doubt Czar has multiple abilities. However if we vote him out and get his full role PM we can test this.
How was Czar roaming the halls if his power is actually a Day power? Because: Mafia can choose who they send out to kill.
Why did they pick Czar and not their Ninja? I firmly believe they have to have a ninja. Crab pointed out why. This game can be easily broken in two by Hope roaming PRs if Despair lacks a Ninja.
I firmly believe they knew the rules of the fight club because of their Ninja. They could have sent someone undetectable, but instead they sent Czar.
So again, why Czar and not their Ninja? Because, their Ninja can ONLY kill on EVEN Nights. N1 is an odd night, they had to send someone that wasn't their Ninja.
Ok, but why Czar? Because his ability is fucking perfect. If he gets spotted at night (and he did), and enough people suspect him, AND he cannot manipulate the votes away from him during the day (see how he tried with his AB NS post), then he could force us all to waste a Day and take out a Hope PR. In fact, it is because he had this power that he was so active and open. It made most of us believe he was Hope. He could have, had his gambit worked, kept the ability until far later in the game.
Why did Czar target Crab? I believe a Despair must have seen Crab during the N1 phase of the game. This means they have multiple night abilities. A kill, and something else.
Czar was sent to kill franconp I believe. Unless AB and Pau also bumped into Crab, a different Despair must have seen him.


With that said, I'm actually not for voting Czartim out TODAY.

1. I'm fairly confident that I know how the kill system works.
2. If I am correct (about Ninja only being available on EVEN Nights) Czar was probably the one who wandered the halls on N3 and killed today's victim.
3. The Ninja will roam N4. We can use D5 to vote out Czartim and then since it will be N5 (an odd night) Despair will HAVE to send someone else out. Our roaming PR's can then do a full sweep and see who the magical new PR is.

This of course is a bit risky. I assume the Ninja can only go on even nights. But it might be that the Ninja can only use their ability ever OTHER night. So they might just send Czar again on N4 and then start using the Ninja on ODD nights.
However I think the reward outweighs the risk.

The question is, who besides Czartim is Despair? That is what we must spend D4 figuring out. We need to dig over D1 and D2 and look for things. Who avoided interacting with Czartim? How did interactions with Czartim go? We need to look at D3 and see who tried to avoid a Czartim bandwagon.
This is sadly extremely hard, because many people (me included) were legitimate Hope players who actually felt Czartim was Hope and more valuable to keep than Sawneeks.

Personally, I think Terrabyte might be mafia based on his D3 behaviour. Except that he switched his vote from Sawneeks to Rest, which made it easier to lynch Czar.
However, I think that once Czar got 6 votes he probably told Despair to not fight too hard for him vocally (which is what Terra did), and instead just fight using votes and as few words as possible. That's the least conspicuous. So we may just want to look at a late Sawneeks voter who wasn't that loud. I highly mistrust Splinter and Kingkitty because they fit these criteria.

6-8 vote. In Sawneeks favor. Despair needed two more votes to majority Sawneeks out of the game. 8 + 6 = 14. How many people were left in the game? If Despair had two players left that had not voted, they could have clinched it.
Either Despair has inactive players (possible) or ALL the Despair members had already voted. We need to take a look at that.

I do not believe Rest is Despair at this point. TL21XX still might be but I find it unlikely.

We know 1 Despair. Czartim. There are how many players left alive? We need to gamble. I say we gamble on one of the 4 I just listed. My primary choice is Splinter.

So how will we narrow our search? Simple. Lets look back on D2. Between kgtrep and Crab. Kgtrep blew his PR load. However, I am fairly certain a Despair that wasn't Czartim bumped into Crab on N1. They must have some roaming PR role that doesn't kill. Czartim was franconp's killer.
Unless Pau/AB want to claim they also saw Crab on N1. In which case it was just Czar who saw him and then there is (perhaps) no secondary Despair roaming PR.
Regardless of who saw Crab, someone DID see Crab on N1. This means that the better move for Despair would be to vote out Crab. He's a night PR while kgtrep is a Day PR who blew his wad and is now a normal student.
We need to look at who (besides me) led the charge against Crab on D2.
People who wanted out Crab a LOT on D2 and also happened to vote for Sawneeks on D3: Makai/Splinter.

Oh hey look, Splinter is looking guiltier each minute. As is Makai. I feel Splinter is the better target for now.

However I only looked at the end history for D2. If you aren't comfortable with a Splinter vote based on what I've posted thus far, I strongly encourage you to review D2 yourself and try to make a case to not vote for Splinter.

Also, a very scary possibility is that AB and Czar are working together. They both had odd cryptic posts (AB's line break post, Czar's AB NS post). If this is the case, it might just be that AB was the one who saw Crab on N1 and there is (thankfully) no secondary roaming Despair PR.
However, http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=175964948&postcount=2606. AB implicates himself, Pau, Czar, or a potential ninja. It was this that led to D3 focusing on a potential vote for Czar.

If I am right and the Ninja was not active on N1, we know that franconp's murderer was Czar.

These posts and some others leads me to believe that AB and Czar were/are NOT working together. They just made it all too easy to get a vote for Czartim going in order to confirm is there was a ninja or not.
Furthermore, Czar did claim AB was Hope in order to push the belief that he was a one-shot cop role. This would work to make AB less suspicious of Czar, and it did seem to work.
However, this particular belief is not strong. AB still voted for Sawneeks. And if both he and Czar are Despair, they might have coordinated this in order to put distance between the two players. AB claims he is a sleepwalker, which sounds plausible enough.

Another scary possibility is that Pau and Czartim are working together. Both Splinter and Czartim tried to talk us out of lynching Pau. However, Ty4on suggested he was lovers with Pau. Actually he only said he was sure of her alignment and his. We then took that to mean Lovers.
But in this scenario, Pau AND Ty4on AND Czar are working together. 3 mafia members all colluding like that so openly? That seems so insanely risky I reject it for now.

Another possibility is that Sawneeks AND Czartim are both Despair. However, in this scenario I think they still wanted to keep Czar alive since they used him for the N1 kill, most of us believed Czar was Hope, and he still had his ability. They could get at least one more night out of using him, then pop the ability after we figured out that he wasn't so one shot after all.
However, not much about my posts change if Sawneeks is Despair.

If people are uncomfortable voting for Splinter, voting for Czar is a fine option because it gives us confirmation that he only had 1 power. If he only has 1 power, it lends more evidence to my Ninja theory (even nights only, or possibly only ever other night).
Also if Makai doesn't speak up about what the fuck his role could possibly be then he's a strong suspect. But he defended Czar so fucking hard that I find it almost unfathomable that he's Despair.

0. Voting out Czartim right away is a waste of the D4 phase. Mafia wants to end the day as soon as possible. If you are Hope, DO NOT place a vote for Czartim until at least the end of the D4 phase.
1. I'm voting for Splinter today. I think it is likely that among these names is where the Despair are: Splinter/Makai/Terrabyte/Kingkitty/Sawneeks/AB
People in bold are MORE likely to be Despair.
2. People that I believe are Hope aligned: Rest/Pau/Ty4on/Swamped/Vivioggi/Zipped/Kalor/Goshu
People in bold are LESS likely to be Hope.
3. I think we shouldn't vote for Czartim today because of how I think the Ninja mechanic works on Despair. Also Despair must have another roaming PR that doesn't kill. Crab bumped into him on N1.
4. If I am correct, Czartim was the killer last night. The ninja will be the killer tomorrow.
5. If we keep Czartim alive on D4 and then lynch him D5 we will force Despair to send out a non-Ninja killer on N5 who we can then spot with fight club.
6. This is a bit risky since it assumes Czar has no secondary role (would be broken imo) and that the Ninja functions on EVEN nights rather than having to space out kills by at least 1 night.
7. Do not discount Sawneeks being Despair. It is still possible. I believe the better move for Despair on D3 if we did happen to lock on to two Despairs by pure chance, would be to keep Czar alive.
8. I fully believe someone passed Crab on N1. Crab never spoke about it on D3 though to my knowledge. Hell, none of us that were Hope knew he was a PR it seems. But if someone passed Crab, he passed somebody. Who was on his fight club list? Can we figure anything out by his D2 comments or D3 votes? What if it was Sawneeks, and that's why he voted for her? If AB is actually also Despair, it might simply be that he passed Crab.
