Hudson's also releasing Bomberman Touch.

Aqua Forest's combination of physics for fluids, elastics, and destructible objects along with the standard gravity and collisions in 2D show a lot of promise for its OctaveEngine.

Crayon Physics and NOIZ2SA are just a couple of the many free homebrew apps already available, but Aqua Forest and Bomberman are commercial and will be offered in Apple's App Store.

Hmmm, the aqua app seems very interesting, but the 'game' part of it seems pretty thin. Hopefully the final product will end up being more than a "hey, isn't this cool!" app...

Are there any differences between the iPhone and iPod Touch as far as being able to play these apps is concerned?

aqua forest looks a lot like Phun physics engine, but with more stuff and a gyroscope (didn't imagine iphones had a gyro in them..what for ??).
I would kill for something like phun on nintendo DS, and i agree next nintendo handheld must come with touch screen AND motion sensor.

unless they used the iphone's camera, bluetooth or telephony - none.

Mainly for the novelty of being able to tilt the screen to switch between landscape and portrait view when browsing the Internet, flipping through albums, photos, etc.

One of the phone's truly throwaway features, but almost visionary in its inclusion for that very reason.
