They have actually been online for about a month, so by Internet standards they are actually a bit old, but they are definitely worth sharing if you haven't seen them already.

Google likes it when you do that for titles, nothing else.

Basically it depends on the timeline and the type of architecture we can expect. I'm not too well versed with Chinese culture but these do look amazing. Lot of skill.

No. As good as Fan art can be, Ubisoft will still give us the same ol' mechanics and boring escort missions with a story that goes nowhere.

I really dislike this "fantasy-china" settings/clothing designs.

Not to mention, wearing red (color of Chinese wedding garments) or all white (funeral dress) is a big "HEY LOOK AT ME~!!" call.

They can't follow Desmond anymore if they do this right? The main ones always have to follow Desmond I guess.

I think Ubi has said that they wouldn't do Asia since it's too boring and predictable. They may have just been referring directly to Japan and ninjas though.

Where's that image with a bunch of fanmade assassins like the cowboy, Egyptian, etc? Those were all awesome.

Did they just do full preproduction concepts as fanart? I don't think I've ever seen that much themed fanart in one style by one person before.

Setting won't do anything if Ubisoft doesn't improve the game mechanics more.

And hire better writers too. I really didn't feel the American Revolution to be as good as the Renaissance.

That art is fantastic. Although Ubi should probably focus on making AC a better playing game rather than the setting.

Well I bought AC3 solely for the setting (and honestly enjoying it ten hours in), so I would be all over this if it happened.

Honestly though I would rather such a theme/setting displayed in this artwork be used for a new Red Steel instead. Red Steel 2 gameplay coupled with the potential from this artwork could be god-like.

And colonial America wasn't ? The setting is one of the problems that Assassin's Creed III had, among other things.

Talked to my brother about this recently. I think it would be an amazing setting. It would be neat to witness Shao Jun's life unfold.

I'm not buying another Assassin's Creed game until the actual gameplay gets a complete overhaul. III was absolute garbage imo.

That artwork though...amazing.

Really? I dont think that period has been done much - especially not in the form of a free roam game that really lets you go there. I think it could be fairly interesting to see a Assassins Creed game go there, its an exotic location that most people have no reference for. By comparison America is a less exciting location because we all know what that place is like.
